Chapter 77: No Origin Abilities Allowed

Several students immediately fell silent beneath her gaze.

Clearly, nobody wished to continue questioning her after witnessing the earlier footage.

Selene calmly walked toward the rows of weapons before casually grabbing a black sword from the rack.

The blade itself looked ordinary.

There were no Origin Energy fluctuations from the weapon and it didnt seem to be crafted with any special materials.

It was Just a simple weapon, however the moment it entered Selene’s grasp—

The atmosphere changed.

A faint dangerous pressure spread from her body instantly.

Even Logan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Her stance alone had changed completely.

Selene slowly raised the sword.

"Watch carefully."

The next second—

She vanished.

BOOM!

A terrifying explosion echoed throughout the classroom.

Several students’ pupils constricted violently.

The metallic arena below them suddenly split apart.

A massive slash mark stretched across nearly half the platform.

The attack had been so fast that many students hadn’t even seen her move.

Then—

Selene reappeared calmly in her original position.

The sword remained perfectly still in her hand.

Silence filled the room.

The black-haired young man stared at the destroyed arena with widened eyes.

"What the hell..."

Even Ethan’s expression became serious.

Selene glanced toward them indifferently.

"No Origin Ability."

"No Origin Energy enhancement."

"Pure physical technique."

Several students instantly felt their scalps turn numb.

That level of power...

without abilities?

Logan’s gaze flickered faintly.

As expected of Selene Vale.

In the original novel, she was one of the few instructors capable of surviving even after the academy’s destruction during the later arcs.

Her combat instincts bordered on monstrous.

Selene suddenly pointed the sword toward the students.

"Most of you wouldn’t survive ten seconds against a real enemy."

The pressure inside the room intensified once more.

Then her eyes landed on one of the male students near the back.

"You."

The boy flinched as soon as he was called.

"Come down here." She continues, signalling for the boy to come to teh center.

The student hesitated briefly before nervously walking into the arena.

He possessed broad shoulders and a muscular build, likely someone confident in close combat, so he had the thought of perhaps being able to contend with her.

Selene tossed a sword toward him casually and said with a slight smile on her face.

"Attack me."

The boy caught the weapon awkwardly and was taken aback by her words.

Attack the instructor?

Wasnt that basically courting death?

Several students immediately leaned forward slightly.

Even Logan became interested.

The boy gritted his teeth, hesitating for some time.

When he noticed the disapointed look in selene’s eyes he finall stelled his resolve and rushed forward.

His speed wasn’t slow at all.

Compared to ordinary people, he could already be considered terrifying.

Unfortunately—

His opponent was Selene.

Clang!

The boy’s sword was instantly knocked away.

Before he could react—

Selene’s blade stopped directly at his throat, a trickle of blood flowing down his neck.

Instantly, Cold sweat poured down the student’s face as his pupils shrank considerably.

She had been too fast!

He hadn’t even seen what happened before her blade had arrived at his neck.

Selene’s voice echoed calmly throughout the classroom.

"You hesitated before attacking." She lingered for a few seconds then continued, "In battle, hesitation gets you killed."

She withdrew her blade from his neck and kicked him directly in the stomach.

BOOM.

The student slammed violently onto the ground.

Several students visibly twitched at the sight.

No one expected her to actually hit him that hard.

The boy coughed painfully while struggling to stand as blood trickled from the corner of his lips. It was evident that no small damage had been done to him due to the attack.

Selene didn’t even look at him.

"Next." She said, staring at the group of students in curiousity.

This time—

Nobody moved immediately.

The atmosphere inside the classroom had changed completely.

Earlier, many of them still carried confidence in their talents and Origin Abilities.

Now?

They finally understood.

This academy wasn’t interested in nurturing fragile geniuses.

Rather it was creating killers capable of killing withoout even the need of origin abilities!

For several seconds, nobody dared stepped forward.

Even the three arrogant-looking students from prestigious families no longer appeared as relaxed as before.

Then suddenly—

"Tch."

A figure slowly stood up from one of the seats.

Logan’s eyes shifted slightly.

Kaizen Wolfe.

One of the heirs of the Wolfe family.

The same family known for producing countless military officials and high-ranking Origin warriors throughout the years.

Unlike the others, Kaizen’s expression remained relatively calm.

Though hidden beneath his eyes was obvious irritation.

Perhaps at Selene.

Or perhaps at being looked down upon.

The tall youth casually rolled his shoulders before walking toward the center arena.

As he moved, faint metallic sounds echoed from his body.

Clink.

Clink.

Several students immediately noticed it immediately.

Even Selene glanced at him briefly.

Kaizen picked up one of the swords before resting it against his shoulder lazily.

"You said no abilities." He smirked faintly. "But what if my ability is part of my body?"

The moment those words fell—

A dark metallic sheen slowly spread across his arms.

The atmosphere shifted instantly.

Several students widened their eyes instantly at the display.

His skin transformed rapidly into black steel-like armor while sharp silver patterns appeared across the surface.

An SSS Origin Ability.

Titan Steel Physique.

One of the stronger body-enhancement abilities within the earlier arcs of the novel.

Logan naturally recognized it immediately.

Although Kaizen wasnt one of the main characters of the novel, he’d still played a role from behind the scenes as one of the main powerhouses of the Wolfe family.

His ability granted absurd physical defense and strength, allowing Kaizen to overwhelm opponents head-on like a human monster.

Most importantly—

It consumed very little Origin Energy compared to Most Origin Abilities.

Selene watched silently.

Surprisingly...

She didn’t stop him.

Kaizen’s confidence immediately increased slightly after noticing her lack of response.

BOOM.

The arena floor cracked beneath his feet as he rushed forward.

Much faster than the previous student.

His sword tore through the air violently toward Selene’s shoulder.

Clang!

A deafening metallic explosion echoed throughout the classroom as shockwaves spread outward instantly.

Several nearby students felt their hair flutter violently from the impact alone.

Kaizen’s eyes brightened slightly.

He blocked it.

No—

Not just blocked it.

Selene had only used one hand.

The black sword casually rested against his own blade effortlessly.

Then suddenly—

Crack.

Kaizen’s expression froze.

Tiny fractures began spreading across the metallic armor covering his arm.

His pupils constricted violently.

"Impossible."

Before he could react—

Selene twisted her wrist slightly.

BOOM.

Kaizen’s entire body was sent flying across the arena like a cannonball.

He smashed directly into the reinforced wall hard enough to leave visible cracks behind him.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Kaizen slowly slid downward before coughing violently.

Blood splattered onto the floor.

The metallic armor around his arms had almost completely shattered.

Several students stared with numb expressions.

One strike.

That was all it took.

Selene calmly lowered her sword. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

"You rely too heavily on your physique."

Her crimson eyes looked toward Kaizen indifferently as she spoke.

"You thought your body made you superior."

"It only made you predictable."

Kaizen gritted his teeth violently.

Humiliation burned across his face.

Yet he couldn’t even refute her words.

Because deep down—

He understood.

She’d completely held back.

The classroom remained deathly silent.

Nobody moved or spoke.

Even Kaizen himself struggled to stand properly after being blown away so casually.

The confidence he carried earlier had already shattered completely.

Selene’s crimson eyes slowly swept across the room once more.

"What? Finished already?"

Her voice wasn’t loud, yet every student felt their expressions tighten instinctively.

Disappointment.

That was the only thing present in her eyes right now.

Not anger.

Not mockery.

Just pure disappointment.

"As expected of children raised in safety."

Several students immediately clenched their fists.

The black-haired young man from earlier frowned visibly while another girl gritted her teeth in frustration.

These people were geniuses.

Monsters praised their entire lives.

Yet in front of Selene—

They looked ordinary and weak.

Then suddenly—

A chair slowly scraped against the floor.

The sound wasn’t loud.

But within the completely silent classroom, it instantly drew everyone’s attention.

Logan stood up calmly.

The atmosphere subtly changed.

Even Selene’s gaze paused on him for half a second longer than usual, her eyes glinting in curiosity.

The silver-haired youth casually adjusted his sleeves before beginning to walk toward the arena.

Step. Step. Step.

Each footstep echoed clearly throughout the classroom.

Several students unconsciously straightened as they watched him walk toward the center platform.

After everything they’d witnessed...

No one believed Selene could be challenged anymore.

Yet Logan’s expression remained unchanged from beginning to end.

As though none of it mattered.

Even Ethan’s eyes narrowed sharply.

For some reason—

The irritation in his chest intensified again.

Meanwhile, Kaizen silently stared toward Logan with an ugly expression.

Part of him wanted to see Logan embarrassed the same way he was.

But another part...

felt strangely uneasy.

Selene calmly observed Logan as he entered the arena.

The black sword still rested loosely within her grasp.

"You seem... confident?" her voice echoed softly.

Logan stopped several meters away from her and his silver-white hair swayed lightly beneath the artificial lights while his eyes remained completely emotionless.

Then—

The corner of his lips curved upward faintly.

"No... I am confident."
