Chapter 104: The One Who Return with Wound
Pain ended.
But it didn’t leave.
It remained—
Not as suffering.
As truth.
Adrian stood at the root of existence, the First Fracture burning within his chest like a star split by contradiction.
Order.
Possibility.
Unity.
Difference.
All alive inside him.
Origin watched in silence.
The Incomplete One stood transformed at the edge of becoming.
And the ancient eye—
Still open.
Still observing.
For the first time—
Adrian understood something terrifying.
He had not passed a trial.
He had become one.
The ancient eye spoke.
Bearer of the First Wound.
Return.
Adrian frowned slightly.
"...That sounds ominous."
Even now.
Even here.
Still Adrian.
Origin almost seemed amused.
Reality awaits its contradiction.
The First Fracture in his chest pulsed.
And suddenly—
Everything folded.
The root vanished.
The eye disappeared.
Origin receded.
And Adrian—
Fell back into existence.
Reality slammed into him.
Worlds.
Systems.
Presence.
Sound.
Identity.
Too much.
Then—
He opened his eyes.
Lyra was the first thing he saw.
And she immediately punched his shoulder.
Hard.
"...You absolute idiot."
Her voice shook.
"...You disappeared into pre-creation for who knows how long."
Adrian blinked.
"...Missed me?"
She looked offended.
Which meant yes.
Kaelith stepped closer, scanning him.
"...Impossible."
Seraphine covered her mouth.
"...You changed..."
Aria stared.
Eyes wide.
"...You feel..."
A pause.
"...Huge."
Then—
Elara.
She said nothing.
Just looked.
For a long moment.
And Adrian realized—
She looked unsettled.
That alone alarmed him.
"...What?"
he asked.
Elara stepped forward.
Placed a hand over the glowing fracture in his chest.
And whispered—
"...You brought it back."
The moment she touched it—
Reality convulsed.
Cracks of light spread through the air.
Not damage.
Recognition.
Kaelith reacted instantly.
"Reality synchronization spike!"
Lyra stepped back.
"...Okay what the hell was that?"
Seraphine whispered.
"...The world reacted to him..."
Aria smiled slowly.
"...It knows him."
No.
Elara corrected.
"...It remembers him."
The words settled.
Heavy.
Ancient.
Adrian exhaled.
"...That sounds concerning."
Before anyone could respond—
The fractured entity appeared.
Instantly.
Urgently.
Not as enemy.
As witness.
It stared at Adrian.
Then—
For the first time—
Knelt.
Silence.
Absolute.
Lyra choked.
"...Did the cosmic tyrant just kneel?"
Kaelith froze.
"Impossible..."
Seraphine whispered.
"...It recognizes him..."
Aria grinned.
"...Okay that’s awesome."
The entity lowered its head.
"...Bearer of the First Wound."
Adrian stared.
"...Please don’t make that a thing."
No one laughed.
Because the entity’s next words froze everything.
"...Reality destabilizes around your return."
Adrian’s smile faded.
"...Explain."
The entity rose.
"...You carry reconciliation."
A pause.
"...Existence was built on division."
Elara’s expression hardened.
She already understood.
"...His presence contradicts reality’s foundation."
Lyra blinked.
"...So... he breaks existence by existing?"
Kaelith answered flatly.
"...Yes."
Silence.
Adrian rubbed his forehead.
"...Of course."
Naturally.
The fracture pulsed again.
And a mountain in the distance—
Split.
Then healed instantly.
Everyone stared.
Aria whispered,
"...You just... rewrote causality."
Adrian looked offended.
"...I didn’t even do anything."
The fractured entity answered.
"...That is the problem."
His mere existence now altered contradictions.
Without intent.
Without command.
A wound and bridge in one.
Then—
The sky tore open.
A slit of impossible light.
The ancient eye—
Watching through reality.
Lyra pointed upward.
"...That definitely shouldn’t be there."
Kaelith:
"External breach."
Seraphine:
"...It followed him..."
Aria:
"...Can Origin see through reality now?"
Elara looked grim.
"...No."
A pause.
"...Reality can now see Origin."
Much worse.
Adrian looked up.
And heard—
Not in sound.
But in truth.
Bearer. Begin healing.
The command shook worlds.
The fractured entity stepped forward.
Urgent.
"...If the wound acts unchecked—reality will transform too fast."
Adrian frowned.
"...So I have cosmic side effects."
Lyra deadpanned.
"Understatement."
Then—
The First Fracture burned.
Hard.
Pain surged.
Adrian dropped to one knee.
Seraphine cried out.
"Adrian!"
The wound glowed violently.
And visions erupted around him.
Cities merging impossible architectures.
Wars ending before beginning.
Broken things refusing to stay broken.
Death rewritten.
Conflict dissolving.
Too much change.
Too fast.
Kaelith shouted.
"Reality overload!"
The fractured entity moved.
So did Elara.
Both reaching him.
But Adrian lifted a hand.
Stopped them.
And understood.
This wasn’t malfunction.
The wound wanted expression.
Healing.
It needed direction.
He stood.
Despite pain.
Looked at the tearing sky.
The watching eye.
His companions.
The kneeling entity.
And laughed.
Soft.
Wild.
"...Guess we’re healing reality."
Lyra groaned.
"Of course that’s your response."
Elara almost smiled.
Almost.
The fracture blazed brighter.
And symbols formed around Adrian.
Ancient.
Living.
Kaelith whispered.
"...What is that?"
The fractured entity answered.
Voice reverent.
"...The Rite of Reconciliation."
A new system window—
For the first time in dozens of Chapters—
Appeared.
Not from a system.
From reality itself.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Unique Existence Recognized
Bearer of the First Wound
Authority: Reconcile Contradictions
First Rite Unlocked
[Heal the Broken Law]
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Lyra stared.
"...Well that can’t be good."
Adrian smiled.
"...Looks fun."
And touched the glowing command.
The world exploded in light.
The healing had begun.
The moment Adrian touched [Heal the Broken Law]—
Reality screamed.
Not in pain.
In release.
The light wasn’t light.
It was law unraveling.
The sky split into living symbols, ancient patterns older than stars spiraling above them as the First Wound in Adrian’s chest ignited.
And then—
Something impossible happened.
Contradictions began to heal.
A mountain broken by old cataclysm fused itself whole.
Rivers flowed backward—
Then forward—
Choosing a truer course.
Ruined cities in the far distance shimmered—
And rebuilt.
Lyra stared.
"...Okay."
A pause.
"...This is god nonsense."
Kaelith’s voice almost failed analysis.
"Localized reality correction..."
Another pause.
"...Expanding."
Seraphine whispered, tears in her eyes.
"...Broken things are remembering how to be whole..."
Aria laughed in disbelief.
"...That is beautiful."
But Elara—
Did not smile.
Because she saw what others didn’t.
"...Adrian."
Her voice cut through everything.
He looked at her.
And she pointed upward.
The sky wasn’t just healing.
It was overcorrecting.
Cracks were sealing—
But differences were blurring too.
Boundaries softening too far.
Distinct things beginning to merge.
Lyra noticed next.
"...Wait."
Kaelith’s tone sharpened instantly.
"Warning."
"Identity boundaries destabilizing."
Seraphine whispered.
"...Too much healing..."
Aria’s smile vanished.
"...It’s erasing separation..."
And Adrian realized.
Healing without balance—
Was just another form of destruction.
The fractured entity appeared beside him instantly.
Urgent.
"...Stop the rite."
Adrian frowned.
"...Already?"
"...You are healing the wound faster than reality can survive."
Of course.
Of course that was happening.
Lyra muttered,
"Why is it always cosmic disaster with you?"
Adrian ignored her.
Mostly.
The First Wound burned hotter.
Demanding expression.
Demanding reconciliation.
It wanted to heal everything.
Immediately.
Absolutely.
Too much.
Origin’s voice echoed faintly from beyond.
Balance healing with division.
Adrian froze.
Because he understood.
Healing wasn’t removing all fractures.
It was preserving difference—
Without rupture.
A bridge.
Not a merger.
Elara stepped beside him.
Close.
Steady.
"...Guide it."
Adrian looked at her.
"...How?"
Her hand touched the wound.
Again.
And instantly the burning steadied.
"...Through connection."
Lyra stepped forward.
"...Wait."
Kaelith too.
Seraphine.
Aria.
Each placing a hand against Adrian.
Against each other.
Against the living wound.
The Core Bonds—
Though transformed—
Answered.
And the First Wound resonated.
Not alone anymore.
Guided.
Balanced.
The healing changed.
No longer erasing differences.
No longer overcorrecting.
Now—
Reconciling.
Broken mountain healed—
Yet remained mountain.
River corrected—
Yet kept flow.
Ruined city restored—
Yet preserved history.
Not perfection.
Harmony.
Kaelith breathed,
"Correction stabilized."
Lyra smirked.
"...We literally just helped regulate a cosmic wound."
Seraphine laughed softly through tears.
"...We’re insane."
Aria grinned.
"...But effective."
Elara met Adrian’s eyes.
And for a moment—
Everything else disappeared.
"...You were never meant to bear it alone."
The words hit harder than battles ever had.
The wound pulsed.
Warm.
Alive.
Listening.
Then—
Reality shifted again.
A rift opened nearby.
But not like before.
From it emerged something broken.
Humanoid.
Distorted.
Made of conflicting laws.
The fractured entity stiffened.
"...Impossible."
Adrian narrowed his eyes.
"...What is that?"
Its answer chilled everyone.
"...A contradiction beast."
Silence.
Lyra blinked.
"...A what?"
The entity spoke.
"...Fragments of unresolved fractures given form."
Of course reality had wound monsters.
Of course.
The creature roared—
Though it had no mouth.
Reality around it glitched.
Contradictions clashed.
Seraphine whispered,
"...Healing awakened what resists healing..."
Aria drew breath.
"...The wound has antibodies."
Kaelith somehow nodded.
"...Accurate."
Adrian laughed despite himself.
"...Okay."
A pause.
"...Now we fight metaphysical immune systems."
The beast lunged.
Reality warped in its wake.
Paradox tearing ground apart.
But Adrian moved.
Instinct.
The First Wound flared.
A sigil formed in his palm.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
First Rite Skill Awakened
Reconciliation Pulse
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Lyra grinned.
"...Now that sounds useful."
Adrian slammed his palm forward.
A wave of impossible light erupted.
Not destructive.
Integrative.
The contradiction beast froze.
Its clashing laws slowed.
Balanced.
Softened.
Then—
It dissolved.
Not killed.
Healed.
Everyone stared.
Aria whispered,
"...You didn’t destroy it."
Seraphine smiled.
"...You reconciled it..."
Kaelith:
"Hostile contradiction converted."
Lyra:
"...Okay that’s absurdly cool."
The fractured entity looked almost stunned.
"...You healed a weaponized paradox."
Adrian shrugged.
"...Guess that’s my thing now."
Then more rifts opened.
Three.
Ten.
Dozens.
Lyra looked up.
"...Ah."
A pause.
"...Spoke too soon."
Contradiction beasts poured through.
The Rite had awakened resistance.
Reality defending old wounds.
The fractured entity turned to Adrian.
"...Bearer."
Adrian smiled.
Wild.
Bright.
Dangerous.
"...Yeah?"
"...Your war begins."
Adrian looked at the army of living contradictions.
At his companions.
At the healing sky.
At the watching ancient eye.
And something inside him ignited.
Not fear.
Purpose.
The First Wound blazed.
Symbols spiraled around him.
New abilities awakening.
Reality itself answering.
He stepped forward.
"...Then let’s heal the impossible."
And charged.
The battlefield of broken laws erupted.
