Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence
Chapter 559 - 325: Damn, This World Is So Awesome
In ten days, Thor had gradually accustomed himself to his current life. As for Neil Morton, after meeting him on that day, Thor had not seen him again and received no response when inquiring with Amory. However, with no alerts from daily intelligence, Thor was not overly concerned.
Especially in those ten days, all his thoughts were captivated by the contents of the Continent Comprehensive History, leaving him with little mind to focus on anything else.
Although due to Tier Two Authority, the Continent Comprehensive History he could access was certainly not the entirety.
Yet even just these scattered contents deeply intrigued him.
Because the books here held not only the myth of Genesis but also the developmental trajectory of the entire continent over the past million years, particularly over the last hundred thousand years.
This was undoubtedly extremely important to him.
Not to mention other things, it at least allowed him to gradually form a relatively clear understanding of the world.
One must know, prior to this.
Although he had a daily intelligence system.
His understanding of the world was indeed insufficient.
For instance, he only knew of the existence of the Two Great Empires and the countless kingdoms beneath them.
He even knew from daily intelligence that establishing a kingdom required resisting the advent of a Divine Revelation, and founding a nation required enough merit points, with the fastest way to gain merit points being external wars.
But that’s just about it.
He was undoubtedly unclear about more detailed content.
For instance, what exactly external wars were.
For instance, the relationship between deities and humans.
The Two Great Empires had existed for a hundred thousand years, but how they could still coexist peacefully.
Logically, this was almost impossible.
A single mountain cannot accommodate two tigers, let alone two equally powerful Empires.
According to historical norms, or rather according to the norms of human nature, it wouldn’t even take a hundred thousand years, within less than a century the Two Great Empires could clash ferociously.
Yet the result was different.
The Two Great Empires, though in a competitive relationship, cooperated more.
This clearly defies common sense.
This was what puzzled him the most. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
But no one could provide him with answers.
Until this moment, after browsing through numerous books, he finally understood what was going on.
The simplest reason for peace is only one, which is sufficient benefit, and sufficient enemies.
Yes, it is due to sufficient benefit and sufficient enemies.
Enemies need no further explanation; they are the deities.
Ten thousand years ago, a Ragnarok erupted, a Divine War that spread across the entire continent, lasting a whole millennium. The ultimate result was the fall of ninety percent of the deities, and amidst such a terrifying war, humanity rose, gradually uniting other races and took command of the continent.
The remaining deities were either killed by humans or exiled beyond the domain.
At that time, the Two Human leaders established the Two Great Empires accordingly.
But deities are immortal.
Not to mention the exiled deities, even those slain could potentially return.
In the early stage of the Two Great Empires’ establishment, some slain deities returned through faith and ritual.
The appearance of deities plunged the continent into chaos.
However, the Two Great Empires soon mobilized all their forces to act, and these deities were killed again shortly after reviving.
Though at a heavy cost, the gains were immense.
The fall of the deities revealed a rapid path of advancement for the Two Great Empires.
Ultimately, the Two Great Empires acquired vast quantities of Divine Ruins, Divinities, and Divine Bodies.
With this power, the strength of the Two Great Empires ascended again.
The increase in strength inevitably led to conflict.
A century-long war between the Two Great Empires broke out.
Continuous warfare erupted, lighting up the continent with flames and drawing all races and humans into the battlefield.
In such a situation, without any surprises.
The ultimate outcome would only be mutual destruction or one side devouring the other to end it.
Much like Earth’s countless years of history.
Yet that’s in the absence of any surprises.
Generally, when there’s no surprise, it means something unexpected has happened.
The Two Great Empires’ war had just gone on for a hundred years when an unexpected event occurred: the interaction between continents presented the Two Great Empires with an entirely new future.
A continent named "Valoran" collided with the human continent.
This was a brand new continent, a part of the world where humans had never set foot. On this continent were unfamiliar races and likewise unfamiliar deities. As soon as the two continents made contact, the deities of Valoran prepared to invade the continent.
In the initial battles, the Two Great Empires, or rather the entire Human Race, were in retreat after retreat.
Facing a Valoran continent filled with numerous deities and with the Two Great Empires hostile to each other, humans simply could not withstand.
After over half of the continent’s vast territory was overrun.
The Two Great Empires finally reached an agreement, began uniting, and upon contacting the outside world, many human powerhouses emerged, even during that period, the Human Race gave birth to an Upper-Rank God.
Although just an inherited Divinity Upper-Rank God, for the humans at the time, this was unimaginable.
It also represented that the continent had overwhelming power among the high-end forces of Valoran.
As the strongest in the entire Valoran continent was not an Upper-Rank God, just a Middle Rank God.
