Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God
Chapter 2275 - 1024: The Corpse King’s Alliance_3
The throne was bathed in the intense Ghoul light (a chilling shade of white), revealing all that dared to lurk in invisibility before it.
Sitting upon it was a thin ghoul, garbed in jet-black half-armor adorned with green inlays and pale green corrosive remnants, draped in a red and black cloak.
As an accomplished necromancer, the Corpse King instantly recognized the cloak, crafted from human skin, dyed in the blood of pulsating hearts.
Four flaming skulls circled the throne, their gaze fixed scrutinizingly on the Corpse King.
The renowned magic wand in his hand was fashioned from a whole spinal column, a skull perfectly mounted at the top, where even the skull alone exuded an emotion named fear.
This wand, known as the Ravenous Staff, was modeled after the Okas Rod of its former master, the Undead Monarch Okas.
On his bald head was a heavy Bone Crown, hollow eye sockets from which ghastly ghoul light blossomed, brimming with insatiable hunger.
The Corpse King felt the gaze upon him as if being observed as a delectable feast.
"How dare you, meeting the great Ghoul God and not kneeling!"
"How dare you desecrate the visage of the True God with such impudence, kneel and repent, or your flesh and soul will be washed to cleanse your blasphemy."
Beside the Soulless Throne, two female ghouls shrieked with fury, their eyes flickering with ghastly light.
It was only then that the Corpse King noticed their presence.
Their attire was akin to elven noblewomen; the one on the left wore a robe of black and green, as thin as cicada wings, letting light pass through and fully displaying the graceful figure beneath.
The one on the right wore Dwarves chainmail beneath a dark green shoulder cover, embroidered with spirals and stars, a short sword at her waist, resembling a spirited dwarves elf female warrior.
The one on the left had been an Elf, and the right a Dwarves Elf.
Notably, the Ghoul King Doreisan was also an Elf, a death priest of the Undead Monarch Okas, attracting the Undead Prince’s attention due to his barbaric acts of devouring kin, thus transformed into the first ghoul.
He established his Ghoul Kingdom in the Dark Domain of his planet Oss, striving to spread the culture of cannibalism across all races, garnering more believers and converting more ghouls.
Regardless of their birth race, once transformed into ghouls, their appearance was remarkably similar, making it difficult to discern their original race.
However, body type would remain, hence the Giant Ghouls.
Based on the ghoul king’s origins, the Elf Ghouls always received more favor, granted greater powers, thereby earning a special name—the Demon Ghosts, Elf Specters.
However, attire depends on the individual. If the wearer is strikingly beautiful, their outfit highlights their beauty to the fullest.
If exceedingly ugly, it renders them grotesque, elevating ugliness to a novel realm.
Such was the case with these two female ghouls; like all ghouls, negative energy severely eroded their flesh, turning their skin ghastly pale, muscles tightly clinging to their bones, barely more than skeletons.
Once they opened their mouths, revealing a mouthful of intertwining sharp teeth.
They embodied the concept of a red-powdered skeleton.
In life, they had been remarkably beautiful.
Yet upon becoming skeletons, becoming ghouls, their ugliness was unparalleled.
"You seek death!" Sensing the scrutinizing gaze of the Corpse King.
The two ghoul noblewomen felt gravely insulted, baring their teeth, preparing to pounce, ready to devour the Corpse King on the spot.
"Stop!" The Ghoul King who sat high on the throne, halted his two beloved consorts’ reckless actions.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The two female ghouls instantly grew as compliant as lambs, though their gaze toward the Corpse King remained filled with unabated malice and hunger. Given the chance, they would eagerly devour him, even if he was a lich with little flesh.
"Aldridge, long time no see." The Ghoul King curiously inquired, "What gives you the courage to enter my Royal Court? Are you not afraid your soul will remain forever in the Court of the Lost Souls?"
His curiosity was piqued, driving Doreisan to declare eagerly, "I have never performed Death Devouring on a lich before.
Which is mightier, the resurrection ability of your Life Casket, or my absolute death in Death Devouring?"
This query nearly froze the Corpse King’s soul.
The Witch Demon Life Box was indeed one of the cards that emboldened him to seek an audience with the Ghoul King in the White Kingdom, for even if negotiations failed, his soul would return to the Life Casket to resurrect, at the cost of a body.
But in this world, there is no absolute.
Indeed, ordinary people are powerless to utterly kill a lich without destroying the Life Casket.
But that doesn’t mean a Divine Power Presence lacks this ability, especially one mastering a certain domain and unlocking an absolute Law.
When absolute meets absolute. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Ultimately, it boils down to the strength and mastery of Law control.
The Corpse King admitted he was outmatched by the Ghoul King in this respect.
But the Corpse King wasn’t easily intimidated and remained unfazed by the Ghoul King, maintaining a steady tone: "I trust in the wisdom of Your Majesty, to refrain from such reckless actions, for compared to the intelligence I bring, my soul is of little value to Your Majesty."
