The latter transforms victims into new tormentors, mercilessly gnawing at former kin and even close relatives.

This makes mass-producing Ghouls much easier than Skeleton Soldiers, enabling the Ghoul army to grow and expand swiftly like a snowball, leaving no living creature in its wake, with all either joining the ghoul army or becoming their food.

However, these two special abilities are ineffective against the undead.

They cannot paralyze the undead nor convert them into ghouls because they are already dead, belonging to the same kind as ghouls.

With these two special abilities nullified, the challenge rating of Ghouls drastically drops, estimated to be less than half that of ordinary humans.

The only thing they have left seems to be their sharp teeth and sheer numbers.

However, the ghoul sea tactics, when used in one’s own domain, have a significantly different effect than on the Plains of Bone.

The Ghoul King has always made every effort to prevent leaving too much Soul Energy on the Plains of Bone.

Therefore, over the years, he has mostly adopted a defensive stance towards the Plains of Bone, luring them out to attack him, slowly depleting the living forces of the four Advanced Undead Lords.

Not only on the Bone Plane but throughout the Bottomless Abyss, wars revolve around Soul Energy, as it is the foundation of everything.

The only difference here is it is manifested through the undead.

On other planes, it is manifested as Demons.

In the Bottomless Abyss, naturally born demons are few; the vast majority are birthed from the Demon Soul Pool, typically manifesting as Primordial Demons, then mutating and evolving into various other types of Low-Level Demons.
