Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God
Chapter 2314 - 1037: Thirsty Sacrifice (Part 3)
He didn’t want to cause any unnecessary misunderstandings; he still needed to rely on the power of the King of the Jackalweres to completely destroy the invaders of the Plains of Bone.
Howl!
The situation changed rapidly, with a satisfying howl coming from inside, revealing the pleasure of a long-hungry stomach being filled.
The howl was not from a ghoul, but from a Jackalwere.
Accompanied by the howl, the Jackalwere began to change at a visible speed. Its already hunched body became more hunched, front paws touched the ground, fur fell off in patches revealing pale skin, shoulder blades rose high, with bones spreading, and the pale skin gathered on them, forming a pair of large, pale bat wings.
For a moment, it was unclear whether to call it a Winged Jackalwere or a Winged Ghoul.
This wasn’t an isolated incident; numerous Jackalweres and ghouls, after having their fill, grew bat wings and soared into the sky, hovering around the Ghoul King like black clouds, numbering no less than a thousand.
The Ghoul King then pointed towards the Skeleton Dragon King, "Attack."
The Winged Ghoul Army immediately howled loudly, surging towards the Skeleton Dragon King.
He used his actions to prove his stance; the recent blood sacrifice was not aimed at the Jackalweres, but to grant them flight capability collectively, to contain the Skeleton Dragon King.
Seeing this, the King of the Jackalweres looked much relieved, snorting coldly, "Next time you do something like this, give me a heads-up, or don’t blame me for tearing you apart."
Even if his heart was guilty, the King of the Jackalweres kept a tough mouth.
The suspicion towards the Ghoul King did not completely dissipate. If the Undead Monarch Okas truly returned, where would this undead’s allegiance lie, on this side or potentially on the other?
Once the seed of doubt is planted, it’s hard to fully uproot.
"With just these pawns, you think you can deal with me!" Even flying solo, the Skeleton Dragon King showed no fear, actively charging towards the Winged Ghouls. Amidst the roaring, his speed escalated to terrifying levels, with legions of bones bursting towards the Winged Ghoul Army in an instant. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
The frenzied swirling bone torrent acted like a meat grinder, and any Winged Ghoul caught in it was twisted into a braid. Unlike the resilient life force of the Werewolf Chosen, they perished on the spot, becoming part of the bone torrent, which surged towards their comrades.
The Winged Ghouls scattered, fleeing in all directions, and regrouped to besiege the Skeleton Dragon King after the Skeleton Dragon’s Breath swept past.
Their numbers were their greatest advantage; it wasn’t easy for the Skeleton Dragon King to kill them all.
If left unchecked, they would launch an attack on the ground, only to swarm back up when given the chance.
Individually, a Winged Ghoul posed no threat to the Skeleton Dragon King, but having hundreds clinging to him was quite a nuisance.
Without his air support, two Jackalwere Chosen deftly approached the Giant Bone King, engaging in ground combat. The Double-headed Flail swung fiercely, imbued with flames and ice energy, erupting into light or ice bursts upon hitting their targets.
Outside of their Berserk Divine Power, they were extraordinarily skilled warriors with advanced combat techniques, achieving remarkable dexterity. They excelled in coordination: one drew attention while the other attacked from behind.
The Giant Bone King did not summon any bone weapons but instead swung the Skeleton Blaster Cannon onto his back and used his fists to attack.
When dealing with these smaller opponents, the key was not power, but speed; only by hitting the enemy could they unleash their attack power. Otherwise, even tremendous strength would be wasted.
The combatants were clearly in a testing phase, using conventional tactics, like three ordinary warriors but with formidable strength and speed, able to easily take a mortal’s life with a mere brush or hit.
Yet, both sides are God’s Chosen, and such attacks, even if they connected, wouldn’t be lethal.
In crucial moments, they would even abandon their Divine Power Shield to face the enemy’s attacks directly, assessing damage to prepare for subsequent combat.
Gaven finished purifying the Jackalwere Chosen, casually tossing him into the Dimensional Cave, retrieving a sphere of Soul Essence, and summoning a Corpse Giant, which he immediately merged with.
In such a high-stakes war, he felt a severe lack of safety, amplifying his armor to its maximum and increasing his health points to their highest.
Even so, Gaven didn’t intend to engage in direct combat, leaning on the War Ravager to watch from afar.
Even with the unbelievably powerful and tough Corpse Giant under his control, comparable to the Demon God’s level like the King of the Jackalweres, fighting alone wasn’t too hard.
A high-level Dispel Magic could easily force Gaven out of his fusion state.
Both the King of the Jackalweres and the Ghoul King could freely cast such spells.
After complete preparations, Gaven turned to the Burning Flames Queen, "I trust the Queen can feel my sincerity. Joining me will only bring benefits, no harm. If you wish, I will grant you the same Divine Nature Strength."
The plan to pressure the Burning Flames Queen using the Corpse King to join his forces fell through, but now the King of the Jackalweres has taken up the task, albeit with slightly less effect, as it lacked the extreme hatred.
