Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God
Chapter 2323 - 1040: Creating the Goddess of Revenge (Part 3)
Returning to Yenogu’s Siege, the King of the Jackalweres was raging, unwilling to take any responsibility for this failure. His fierce eyes scanned back and forth, and whether Jackalweres or those Ghouls, all remained silent, fearing incurring his wrath.
The Jackalwere Chosen who escaped back to Yenogu’s Siege through self-detonation became the perfect scapegoat.
For it was his flight that marked the beginning of the complete collapse of the situation.
"Spare me, my god..." The Jackalwere Chosen, now a mere cluster of souls, wailed in despair.
He was more wronged than Dou E.
If he hadn’t decisively self-destructed, in that situation, it would have only resulted in another prisoner for the enemy, without changing the situation at all.
However, knowing the King of the Jackalweres well, he realized a furious king wouldn’t listen to any explanation, but would likely have the opposite reaction.
All he could do was beg for the little mercy the King of the Jackalweres might have, "Please give me one more chance, my god. Next time, I swear I will fight to the death and restore my god’s honor!"
"Doreisan, what do you think?" The fierce eyes of the King of the Jackalweres suddenly shifted to the Ghoul King, who was attempting to remain uninvolved.
The punishment for the Jackalwere Chosen was fake; the real aim was to intimidate the Ghoul King.
To prevent any disloyalty due to initial setbacks.
He was internally frustrated, having underestimated his enemy this time.
He should not have intervened in the warfare so quickly, but rather let the Ghoul King first engage with the enemy and then act based on the situation, thus avoiding the current dilemma.
That being said, if he could endure that long, he wouldn’t have earned the nickname of "bloodthirsty beast."
"Your Majesty, we are at a crucial moment of needing manpower, why not give him a chance?"
The Ghoul King cautiously answered, "This is merely a temporary setback, not the loss of the war.
At least we have uncovered the enemy’s background. He is not the Undead Monarch’s demonic incarnation, but rather using the power of his nemesis, the Undead Goddess of Revenge.
Without the secret backing of the Undead Monarch, the high-end power he commands is quite limited. This time, he has utilized all the Advanced Undead Lords from the Plains of Bone.
Their abilities are already well known to us; now it’s just about recruiting targeted manpower. Once we overthrow them, the victory of this war will belong to us."
Although the battlefield situation was extremely unfavorable to them, the Ghoul King did not appear overly anxious.
Because wars in the Bottomless Abyss are different from those on the Material Plane; ordinary warfare, no matter how grand, is always auxiliary, and what ultimately matters are the Demon Lords and their core elite forces.
Once a successful decapitation strike is made.
The demon minions, utterly devoid of loyalty, will no doubt defect to swear allegiance to a new Demon Lord. This is even more pronounced among the Undead.
What has been deployed isn’t all their strength.
Putting that aside, the King of the Jackalweres no less than five demonic incarnations; each Godhood Level they possess can create one demonic incarnation.
The Ghoul King couldn’t ascertain whether the one before him was the true form of the King of the Jackalweres or a demonic incarnation.
The greatest difference between a True Demon Form and a demonic incarnation lies in their strength; without placing both side by side, it is hard for outsiders to distinguish between them.
On the Material Plane, confirming an entity as an incarnation is not a matter of sharp eyes but rather due to the Material Plane’s strict limitations on divine existences, preventing them from descending in their true form.
Using a demonic incarnation for open appearances, handling matters instead of the true form, is not only a Demon Lord’s common trick; even those truthful gods advocating fairness love to do the same.
The reason is simple: this greatly increases their security.
Even if trapped in a conspiracy, the enemy would end up destroying only a demonic incarnation, allowing the lurking true form to launch a Thunderous Strike and snatch victory from defeat.
"Since even the Ghoul King says so, I will give you another chance; we’ll see if you can endure the blessing of this power!" The King of the Jackalweres pointed his Tri-headed Chain Mace at the Jackalwere Chosen.
Yenogu’s Siege flashed momentarily, amassing power from all directions, finally forming a beam that shot onto the Jackalwere Chosen’s soul.
In an instant, the Jackalwere Chosen’s body was remolded.
"Thank my god for your mercy... Ah... enough... no more, it’s too much... Ah... I can’t take it..."
The Jackalwere Chosen, originally intending to express gratitude, soon began to scream.
Being the key to the Screaming Peaks Magic Circle, Yenogu’s Siege is immensely powerful, even for a moment, the gathered force was terrifying, far exceeding the limit the Jackalwere Chosen could bear. A cracking noise resounded throughout his body as the freshly remolded physique continuously protruded in an exaggerated fashion, as if on the verge of exploding at any moment. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Soon this power found an outlet; segmented bone spurs erupted from the Jackalwere Chosen’s spine, elbows, knees, and various parts, as his body type began uncontrollably twisting, limbs growing increasingly robust, back ever more hunched, an overall primitive transformation, reverting from a Jackalwere back into a hyena.
The tawny wolf fur rustled off, revealing congested skin, muscles distorted to extreme proportions.
With a terrifying roar, dark red flames spewed from the mouth of the Jackalwere Chosen, apparently awakening a breath ability akin to Dragon Breath.
Once the power exhausted, the appearance of the Jackalwere Chosen transformed completely, exemplifying what grotesque and monstrous means, incessantly howling, his eyes filled with endless berserk, devoid of intelligence.
Around him, the Jackalweres gazed towards him with fear, uncontrollably moving in a direction away from him.
