Fated to my mate's step-brothers
Chapter 52
Brielle
I shivered with fear throughout the night. Dylan was a monster and there was no telling what he was going to do to me.
I couldn’t sleep and I kept pulling at the locked door throughout the night. Exhausted, I collapsed to the ground.
I had been instructed by Nikolai to go get a few things outside the pack house with a guard in the night.
The guard instructed me to reach into the car which I did without suspicion but the moment I inhaled the air; I suddenly went numb.
I tried to speak and protest but I couldn’t, that was how I got whisked out of the pack into his domain.
My numbness wore off just as we arrived at the pack house and I wept profusely as I pleaded for him to let me go.
I remained on the spot for hours, staring into space. Suddenly the door knob began to turn as it opened.
It was the maid, she was bringing in food and I rushed over, trying to get out but the door was sealed heavily with guards, it would be impossible for me to escape without being caught.
"Your meal." She announced and slowly, I sat on the bed, having no other option but to eat.
"I don’t want to eat, I want to leave... Please! Please let me go, Dylan!" I screamed as loud as possible, hoping he would let me be but nothing happened, making me crumble to the bed as more tears flowed down my cheeks.
Dylan walked into the room, fury in his eyes as he watched me come up to him to beg for my freedom.
He hit me, I fell to the ground, my cheeks stinging as the pain spread rapidly. The tears flowed freely.
"Eat your fucking meal and don’t make me force you, the doctor would be here in a few minutes!" He thundered and I frowned, wondering what he was talking about.
My lips were too heavy to speak, my lips quivered as I began to eat slowly. He stood at the side, smiling broadly as he watched me.
There was a glint in his eyes, like he had waited for this all his life.
"I’ll get you new clothes and make sure you never have to wear rags again. Your hair will be made tomorrow in preparation for our mating ceremony. You’ll finally be mine, Brielle. Isn’t this what you’ve always wanted?" He demanded and I said nothing, still engrossed in the meal.
He grabbed a fistful of my hair, yanking my face towards him. "Do you understand me?" He thundered and I nodded hastily.
"Use your words Brielle. I hate to have a woman who is dumb." He ordered and slowly, I moved my mouth.
"Ye... yes..." I replied softly, wishing someone would me from this misery.
I couldn’t tell which one I wanted. Was I better off here, in the cage of this mad man? Was I better with his twin brothers who are hellbent on making me life miserable ?
Why must my life be connected to both brothers? Why couldn’t I just be free of both of them?
I finished my food, pushing the plate away softly and he smiled as he patted my head. "Good girl, you know I love you right?" He demanded and seconds later when he didn’t get a response, he grabbed my hair, making me wince.
"Yes... yes..." I chorused shud he let go reluctantly.
"You will answer every of my question accordingly! Do not make me a monster, Brielle! I’m Dylan... the man for fell in love with, the one you promised to have your future with. Have you forgotten the vows we made when we got married? In the little altar, do you wish for us to get married again?" He suggested and I shook my head.
"No." I pleaded and he snarled but only burst out laughing hysterically.
He didn’t look normal, he looked like he was slowly losing it. So much had gone wrong and it hurt my heart.
"Alpha, the doctor is here." Mathew announced and he nodded with a smile.
The doctor walked in, bringing a few equipments which lie began to set up and I glanced around with fear and confusion.
"W... Whag is going on? Wh... What are you doing? I demanded with confusion.
"Nothing too important, you’re sick and you need to be treated." He replied and I shook my head, rising from the ground as I rushed to him.
"No... I’m not sick, Dylan... I’m perfectly fine. There’s nothing wrong with me." I screamed at the top of my voice but he frowned.
"Make her lie down and pin both hands to the side, I do not want any disturbance." He announced and to my horror, the guards carried me. They forced me on the bed while I screamed and protested, trying to understand what was going on.
"Dylan! Please... I’m not sick... We could get married! We can do everything you sent but please stop this. I’m willing to come back to you and be yours alone, please!" I pleaded but he chuckled.
"Argh!" I screamed when a drip was pierced into my hand and the doctor began drawing out out blood.
It was painful, unlike anything I had ever experienced and I screamed and wriggled my body, trying to break free from my confines but it was impossible.
"Please... Please stop this." I pleaded with so much tears running down my cheeks and Dylan watched me with a small smile.
"Unfortunately I can’t, this is your path. You were meant to live like this, that’s why you’re special... That’s why you’ve got what no other wolf has." He replied and I was confused.
What was he talking about? Was it related to my blood? Was this why Thor and Ryker had their suspicions about me?
Was this why mom asked me to leave the pack? Because she knew something I didn’t?
What is my true identity?
