While the couple had their moment away from all the troubles happening g at home, Mateo and Levi got ready to take over the Alpha’s responsibilities. The Shadow Moon pack did not take it kindly and was causing unnecessary trouble. For the Beta and Gamma.

Right now they stood before the pack train to address them and explain things to them but they refused to listen and the Warriors had to con win between them to serve as mediators. It would not be good if a fight was to break out between the pack and Supreme Beta and Gamma.

Both parties would get and being the stronger one of the two parties it was very noticeable that the Beta and Gamma would be the winner. Even though the lack of members was more in number, most of the lack members were not trained warriors. They were just regular shifters who only knew how to evade and run staying in the safety of the pack leader and warriors.

The warriors could not pick a side because the two members who they were reveling against were their leader and commanders and they also could not go against the pack because they were trained to protect the pack. They were torn and caught in the middle. They could only intercept and try to prevent a possible physical attack from the two parties.

"Can you state the reason for your actions?" Mateo asked he was angry but he did not know who he should take it out on. Levi was just too annoyed to pay attention to them anymore and had found himself a good spot to sit and ignore all that was going on with his mate by his side.

She was the only person he was interested in guarding now. His brother was capable enough to protect himself and can withstand a full-bore battle but his mate could not. Who would have thought the Alpha and Luna being absent and leaving the pack’s responsibilities to the Beta and Gamma would turn out like this? It almost looked like someone was intentionally investigating it from the shadows.

"We would not be ruled and controlled by strangers. You are not from our pack." Someone from the crowd shouted and the rest concord.

Mateo felt like beating someone up or at least punching some e hard enough to leave them rolling on the ground. His eyes search for re shifter who had spoken and he gritted his teeth as soon as he saw who it was. Right now all he wanted was to punch him and his two against a tree to quench his anger.

"You can’t say a word because I am right." The shifter probed with a smirk on his face.

"You all do know that the Alpha supreme would not take this very lightly, right?" He said locking eyes with the shifter who had spoken early.

"Stop hiding in the Alpha’s shadow. What can’t you do without the Alpha?" another shifter Asked and it was confirmed that there was indeed a coup going on in the pack and all that they were waiting for was for the Aloha to be gone a bit longer than he usually does for them to start to work on their plans.

Hearing these words, even Levi who had decided to ignore could no longer hold back the growl that erupted from deep within him. It came in full force and with his aura as the supreme Gamma. Those closer to where they stood had to take a step back due to the pressure he exuded in that one growl.

Even Emily who stood by his side was shocked at the aura that she felt from him. She knew he had a very powerful and oppressive aura being the Gamma Supreme but she did not expect it to be so strong. It made her wonder just how strong Mateo’s or even Darren’s Alpha aura would be. She looked at him and didn’t know whether she should try to calm him down or leave him because the situation right required both. She decided to leave him be. It was not every day that one could stand being looked down upon by the lower ranked. They were shifters and there was a hierarchy among them.

"What did you say?" Levi asked standing to his feet and taking predatory steps towards e person who has spoken, his eyes glazed over and became embers. Fur sprouted from his body and he stood half-shifted.

The warriors immediately came to stand in front of him blocking his part to make sure he did it to reach the pitiful pack member who had spoken too brazenly. Levi was the Gamma of Gammas meaning that out of all the Gammas, he was the best and the strongest. As the supreme Gamma, he could hurt them easily, even killing them would not be any difficult for him to do.

"Levi," Mayeo called and held his shoulder. He turned and looked at him with a glare but he knew it was not for him and he shook his head. ["Alpha wouldn’t be happy if he comes and finds that we have hurt the pack."] Mateo’s mind linked.

[" They insulted you."] Levi said. His shoulders relaxed a bit. He was right, the Alpha had trusted them to look after the lack in his absence it would y be right if he comes and did that they have been hurt by those whom he trusted with their safety. But it was also not right that these people should be so disrespectful in his absence either.

"Leave it be, Levi," Mateo said and patted him on the shoulder, and pulled him back. He faced the lack once again, his expression hardening, and let his beast surface just enough to put on the out of pressure he needed to tame the animals standing in front of him. "Do you want to know what I can do without the Alpha?" He asked looking at the shifter who had dared to ask that question.

He instinctively took a step back. He never expected to he asked that question or the fraction that they gave to their protest. They knew that as a Beta, he would have anger issues just like every shifter in power who would want to be questioned. But because of what had happened to him, they thought that his confidence and resolve would have been shaken and they could take advantage of that.

As for Darren, they could all come together and deal with him after his loyal subordinates were all gone. What was Alpha without a Pack to lead? To them, it didn’t matter whether he was the Lapha Supremw or not, who would respect him if his own pack did not even accepts him as tie alpha? In his presence, they behaved because they had no choice, not after knowing what he was capable of doing.

When he died during the attack that night, they were all happy within themselves while others mourned. But then he woke up again, walking, living, and breathing as if nitjijgbjad happened to him. They were annoyed and didn’t know how to express their annoyance in his presence. And now that he and his problematic mate were both out of the pack, it was the perfect time to take action against him.

"Whoever wants to know what I am capable of doing without the Alpha, step forward." Matei challenged and it was evident in his voice that he was pissed.

Levi stood behind him with a smirk as he watched the fave of thenpwolle who had silent now. Leo and Logan were not around so they were no one in the pack right now among Darren’s click that could be said to have come from the shadow Moon pack.

Even Lucybajd Lucinda could kit speak out at the moment. They were spell casters and the most played ones there so they just let the Beta and Gamma handle the stubborn shifters and they were doing great at it.

"If no one is stepping forward, I. Assume we have all one to our senses and know not to disrespect your leaders again." Mateonsaid and turned to the warrior nearest to him, "Dismiss them all." He ordered and the warriors nodded and stepped forward to send them to their homes.

They could do this because it did not involve hitting the pack members but rather sending them back tongue safety if their homes.

Mateo turned around. And his gaze met that of Levinqho gave a smile and Emily who gave a nod. Emily was in the boat as them, if anything happened, she would be as affected as them.
