Raven walked down the corridor heading for his room, his mind was occupied by the happenings around them. He wondered if the world would have been like this had he met her or been mated to her. The single thought of not meeting made his heart squeeze.

But he did not push aside the thought things would have been different. She would have been happy, probably married to a human, and wouldn’t have had to go through what she was experiencing now. He got to his room and stopped to listen if she was inside. The Sound of a slow but steady heartbeat was all that he needs to turn the doorknob and proceed to enter the room.

He found her lying on the bed while staring at the ceiling. Her beautiful face had lost its sincere and innocent shine and her smile was replaced with caution and fear for the uncertain and unknown.

She lay with her back and her hands placed on her stomach with her fingers interlocking each other. Hearing the sound of the door, she shifted her gaze and looked at the door only to find her mate walking towards her. She gave a soft smile that did but quite reach her eyes.

She closed her eyes when leaned to kiss her. Feeling the sparks spread through her back dy help her regain her color and the innocent, sincere, and shy smile she was for appeared on her face. "I love you," Raven whispered against her lips.

She wrapped her hands around his and pulled him burying her face in the nook of his neck. Tears rolled down her eyes as she sniffed and sobbed silently. "I am sorry." she solar between her sobs and Raven felt his heart constrict at the sound of her sobs.

He circled her frame with his arms. He sat beside them and pulled her up to a sitting position. "You have nothing to be sorry about." He said while drawing circles on her back. It was not her fault so there was nothing to feel bad about but she felt it was hers us beating herself up because of that. "If it had not happened this way, it would have been another way. Somethings can be changed, there are fated to happen."

"But this is happening because of me." She sobbed grabbing tightly to his shirt. "I wish..."

"Everything is as it should be." He spoke cutting her off before she would say something that would hurt them both. "Nothing is happening because of you, it was featured to happen."

She moved to look at his face and saw the seriousness in his expression and every word that wanted to say vanished from the top of her tongue. She knew he Wouldnt blame her even if everyone else did. He would still trust her and protect and all of this was because of the mate bond. She started won’t if it would have been the same without a mate or if she would have even met.

Would they have fallen in love and the trust that they share now there too if the bond was not there? That was highly doubtable. The inky reason why they were able to meet was because of the mate why h led him to her andnaonehiw she also fell in love with him despite their contrasting characters. They were very different from each yet here they were now, mates.

"Thank you," She said and wiped her tear-stained cheeks. "Thank you for always standing by me."

Raven smiled and planted a kiss on her lips. "You are my mate, I must do so." He replied. He held her in his arms as they were in a comfortable silence listening to each other’s heartbeat before he remembered that there was another reason why he had come to see her. "Lazarus wants to speak with you." He informed her making her look at his chin in her attempts to meet his gaze.

"Okay," She said and nodded against his chest. "How is Ezra?" She asked.

In the vampire territory,

Captain Leroy walked inside the office that used to hebhus with long and hurried steps, stopping and knocking before pushing it open. Inside, Lord Dmitri sat and stared coldly at the piece of paper he was holding as if it had wronged him.

His eyes shifted to the person who had just walked in with the same cold and piercing gaze. Keely would have been confused as to what was responsible for that look and anger if he had not known what was the content of the paper in his hand.

It was one of the files of the reports that they had just about the humans and their activities and plans concerning the no humans. It was infuriating at how much they already knew leaving them to wonder how long the humans have known about their existence but were lying low and waiting for the right opportunity to attack.

"When did this happen?" Dmitri asked placing the file on the desk. He interwinedbhus fingers and crossed his legs, his face was expressionless butbhusbggaze demanded an immediate answer.

"Early this morning, My lord." Captain Leroy replied, keeping his posture as respectful as possible. The older vampire was already pissed he wouldn’t want to give him another reason to do to him what he did the last time there were alone in this same office. Just like now, the matter of the discussion was about the humans and he wanted no repetition of what happened in the past.

Dmitri looked at the time and was very impressed at how long it took for him the receive the information but it was disappointing either. "How many of our kids are among the human government?" He asked.

What was happening now was coming in the way of his plan to finally get rid of the shifter and make himself the lord of all. The spell casters would follow whoever was in charge and proved dominant. The inky reason why they were following the shifter who had a rule over many packs was that the shifter did do well with accept g other creatures. Neither did the vampire but they had struck a deal with them and for lord Dmitri, his woman was the head coven witch.

"Not many, My lord," Leroy replied and Dimitri glared at him.

"Start making preparations to have more views in there with the humans. With jeed as many of our people other to deal with things on their end.

At Blackstorm Pack,

Alpha Julio and Zeke sat face ri face with each other as they thought of what to do. Trying to rjunknif a way out for themselves and their packs when Alpha Damon joined them. They have all heard of the new development with the humans that threatens to expose them all and bring harm to their packs.

Darren had sure that any information that involves the safety of the packs was heard, it was to be delivered to every Alpha or Luna so that they can start preparing for anything that may come along with it.

"What do we do now? The supreme Alpha us away with his Luna." Zeke asked looking between the other two alphas. Soon they both stared at Julio and waited for him to speak.

He tapped lightly and slowly on the desk as he stared blankly at it. His kind ran miles as he thought of the best they could handle the situation. But no matter how hard he tried to think, there was only one solution. He sighed tiredly and lifted his gaze to meet the two pairs waiting for him. "We have to wait for the Supreme Alpha." He said and they all sank back into their seats.

"He is away on a break that we all know was long overdue," Damon stated. "Do you think he will come back because of this? We all know what kind of person he is."

"He will," Julii said with a firm and certain tone. Though not many would notice it he has, Darren cares about the shifter race. If he didn’t care about their race, he would have allowed them all to die in the multiple attacks that they have suffered in the past or leave them without giving them needed support and aid after the attacks it supporting with funds. "The Allha cares about his subjects. So he will return."

Let’s all hope he does." Zeke said and the Julio smiled.

"I will send words to the other packs letting them know we will be sending a collective summons to the alpha, it is the only way to bring him back," Julio said and the other two nodded their heads. "Zeke, send words to the Supreme Beta and Gamma, to let them know what we are planning to do. While Damon, you will reach out to the council, they will be needed too."

Without arguing, they all stood up and left the office and heading to their different packs to carry out what was assigned to them. It was time they all came together under the leadership of the one whom they gave collectively sworn allegiance and loyalty to. The Alpha Supreme.
