Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 178. The council elders
Days went by and soon the council of elders had agreed to summon the Alpha and Luna supreme to return after seeing the many changes taking place. More shifters going missing or found dead. Even the humans seemed to be dropping more into their various packs with excuses that they had all grown tired of. It was becoming turning and suffocating to hide with all the eyes looking at them.
All they wanted was to stay as safe as they have always been. To live their lives as the shifters that they were. Being free and one with nature. Allowed to be as wild as they wanted, portraying their animal nature but that was not possible with the human eyes on them, watching them like hawks.
It was not that they could not go against the humans, but for the same pace and to maintain and keep the laws that had been set even before they were born.
There was nothing they could do if the fight was brought to them. They will have to fight back if the humans come at them. No one would sit still and allow themselves to be killed and do nothing about it unless they were prepared to die. As long as the fight was brought to them, they would fight back for the survival of their own. These are packs and Families.
Right now, the elders were in the Shadow Moon Pack. A few alphas were present and so were Mayeo and Levi. They have come to ask the Supreme Beta and Gamma to summon the Aloja and Luna back because they all agreed to do so.
"We are sorry to disturb your busy schedule, Beta Mateo and Gamma Levi," Agatha said. The old shifter was slowly aging and now looked like a woman in her seventies although she was much older than that. "As you already know, the situation is not getting better. Pack members have gone missing and are later found dead or not found at all. Our people are living in fear of humans. We have no choice but to ask for the return of the Alpha. As much as it is understood that he deserves a moment away, he also can overlook his responsibilities as our leader. They are needed and we are here to call on them to return and give hope to our people once again. Their presence will reassure our people that there is hope and a chance of survival."
"We understand what you say and ye need fur your concern," Mareo began. This was the first time he had to do something like this. "It is indeed true that the Alpha is needed but I will implore you to exercise patience, the situation is not out of hand and can still be managed. It is only a few days left before Alpha and Luna return."He said trying to buy as much time as he could for his Alpha and Luna.
"There isn’t much time to plan and execute the plan if they were to take longer." Alpha Julio said and received a glare from Mateo.
"Alpha Julio of Blackstorm is correct," An elder said and every eye now looked at him. "We need to plan and the alpha is needed here for that."
"Supreme Beta Mateo," Elder Williams called. He was the sitting pack’s Elder so his opinion was significant in the matter. "I wish for the Alpha and Luna to her their moment of rest too, but we can no longer push this aside, he is needed."
Mateo was getting tired of hearing them repeating the same words and he could no longer refute them. How was supposed to do that when everyone was saying the same thing? It would look disrespectful and he could be seen as someone who does not accept the words of the council and probably doesn’t recognize their value according to the stated law.
He sighed inaudibly and closed his eyes, he massaged his temple and then threw a glance at Levi who had a natural look in his expression. ["We have no choice just to call them back, bro,"] Levih said, invading his mind with the sudden link.
["Fine, I will call Alpha to let him know."] Marie caved in. They will have to return eventually, so why not now? He shouldn’t wait until the situation got bigger even though he and Levi could manage it until their return. But the people were getting restless, the Alphas and Elders were acting based on the actions and demands of their people. Their packs. They will feel more assured and reassured with the presence of the Alpha Supreme and a Luna Supreme.
"I have heard all you have said," Mateo spoke and the room was filled with whispers that could still be heard by everyone in the room due to their strong hearing ability, plunged into silence as they listened to him. "I will contact Alpha and Luna, forward your message to them, and request for their return."
"Thank you, Beta Supreme," Agatha said, a smile adorning her aging face. "We are glad to have our request granted."
"You can all return now," Levi said. He leaned into his seat in a relaxed manner leaving them wondering why he was so relaxed when there was so much trouble happening around them. "We will inform you when Alpha and Luna have returned." He said, oblivious to the questions running through their minds. Or he just didn’t care to notice it.
"Thank you once again," The aged woman said. "We, along with our various Alphas, will inform our pa of the good news." she looked at the aloha of Jewel pack who had made himself present in the meeting. He stayed silent the whole time allowing the elders to speak.
As for Julio, everyone knows that he was listened to even by other packs so his presence was a must. He was strong and wise and respected the rules and laws that governed them.
A guard walked in and bowed to the council as a form of respect to them before turning to Mateo and Levi. ["We have received words that alpha Lazars is at the border, Supreme Beta."] His mind linked.
["Do you know why he comes?"] Levi joined the link.
["No, Supreme Gamma."] The guard replied and they nodded.
["Allow him in."] Mateo said. Lazarus was someone they could not keep out of the pack for more than one reason. He was strong and feared and he was also the person considered as a father to the Supreme Luna. Trying to keep him out when he wants in would only lead to casualties and that was something that they were trying to prevent at a time like this.
"Alpha Lazarus of Blood Moon Pack will be here shortly," Mateo informed them. Those who were ready to stand up and leave sat back down and waited. For him to have come meant that something was wrong that had made him come to the Shadow Moon Pack even when he knew that the Alpha and his Luna were both absent from the pack.
In a few minutes, the sound of a car parking outside could be heard followed by footsteps echoing through the walls in fast strides, letting everyone know without guessing that it was him. It was typical of an Alpha to walk with large strides while everyone else tried to catch up to them.
It was as if it t became a part of them the very moment they became Alphas, their speed both in walking and running increased greatly, and their strength surpassed most if not all of their pack members leaving them at the top and making it hard for anyone who wants to challenge for the throne to work extra hard to become strong enough to challenge an alpha and take the victory.
In no time he was inside and walked to a seat that was left empty and made himself comfortable. His aura surpasses that of every other alpha seated there. He seems to be in a bad mood. It was obvious from the obvious frown on his face and the killing intent that reeked around him spreading around the round enveloping it slowly. If a lower-ranked shifter was to be in the room at that moment, they would have felt suffocated already.
Even at that, the elders were affected by it. Many of them were not Alphas, Betas, or Gammas but regular shifters who were chosen to be among the council.
"What brings you here, Alpha Lazarus?" Levi asked. His tone was neither harsh nor hushed. He respected the man before him. He hardly lost his cool but right now, he seems to have lost it and also lost control of his alpha aura. "This is an unexpected visit."
"Something happened last night," Lazarus said and the crowd in their faces deepened. They had thought of it but hoped to be wrong. But it seems hoping was only a wishful thought.

Please read,
I have decided to end Fated To The Dark Alpha as soon as possible to create time for me to write my other ongoing Novels. As you all already know, I am a student and my time is limited. Writing many books at the same time makes it hard and the story’s progression slow, so I have decided to focus mostly on this for the next few days/ weeks.
If you are here and are reading any of my other Novels, be patient and don’t leave, I will return to them or release a few Chapters weekly until this one is completed.
And if you haven’t read my other books, please give them a try.
[ Natasha’s Revenge and The Mythical World Of Arcadia] are available here in Webnovel too.
Thank you for your time and for joining us through the journey, I am grateful and very appreciative of you.
Keep reading until the very end.
