A few minutes later, his vocal cord was healed and he could speak again. "I don’t know," was all Ralph’s reply and it etched Darren so much. Seeing the Alpha’s darkened face he quickly rephrased his words, "I can’t, I want to but I can’t."

Frowns could be seen on their faces after hearing what he said. What did he mean that he couldn’t even when he wanted to? They could see that he was indeed trying to speak but no words were coming out of his mouth no matter how many times he opened and closed his mouth. The more he tried to speak, the more he looked in pain as if something was hurting him inwardly, and realized that he was not lying and was telling the truth all along. Something was stopping him from speaking and it did not take much thinking to know that spell casters were involved.

["We would need the help of Lucy and Lucinda for this."] Levi spoke into the heart of both Darren and Mateo.

["He is right, Alpha."] Mateo agreed. They both turned to look at Darren who still had a murderous glint in his eyes. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Darren decided to put the reins on his beast because as they have said, he had to know who was behind it. For the person to have gone as far as putting a spell on them so they speak, it meant that whoever he was, he was dangerous for and even more so, to have him working in the shadows as an unknown enemy.

After calming down, he walked away without saying a word to anyone. He walked away heading for his home, he needed to be around her to calm his brast down completely else he would find it even more difficult to work.

Meteo and Levi who were left behind stared at the two who had been beaten without pity in their eyes. They had it coming and they got what they deserved. Emmett whose skull was cracked was still healing and they wondered why his healing was so slow. It was not as quick as that of a lycan but it should have healed almost completely if not all the way.

"Pick them up and take them to the hospital," Mateo said and walked away too after giving the order. Levi followed his suit and they left the training grounds. Lucy and Lucinfa would visit them in the pack hospital to find out what was wrong with them.

At the blood moon Pack,

Lazarus and just arrived and was greeted by the cries of Aziel and an anxious Dana. She had tried all the possible ways that she knew and could think of to make him stop crying but he just wouldn’t stop. She was getting tired and running out of ideas.

Beside her was Rossie, holding his feeding bottle filled with milk but he had refused to drink any of it. He had been that way since the moment Lazarus had left the pack which only made her worry grow especially since no one could stop him from crying. She could only hope that he stops soon but it had been hours since he started crying without stopping or feeding on his milk

Lazarus looked at the scene in front of him and did not know how to react. His mate looked frustrated with sweat covering her face, even her clothes were now sticking to her body which gave away her exquisite figure underneath them. He inwardly shook his head to dismiss the thoughts that were starting to creep into his mind and focus on the current matter at hand which was his crying son.

He approached and Dana turned in the direction of the door the very moment she felt join a prance even before his scent reached her. She sighs in relief. One problem is solved. He was back which meant that he was okay. Now the only problem was their little pup.

She gave it to an omega and walked up to her mate throwing her arms around him as she engulfed him in a tight and comforting embrace. Her body relaxed a bit feeling the parks run through her body at the contact with him. "I was worried something happened to you." She said and buried her face in the broad chest. "Aziel made me worry."

"He circled her waist with one hand and the other caressed her hair. "Something did happen, but I am fine," He said and it was then that she released him. Where are his guards?

Pulling away from him immediately, she stared at his face and started looking for any injuries in his body as if forgetting that he was a shifter and any injuries would have healed before he came. "What happened?" She asked after making sure that there were no external Injuries on him.

"I will tell you later," He said and walked over to the Omega who held Aziel.

"Alpha," She said and bowed her head with her eyes staring at the floor beneath her. She didn’t dare to look at the face of the alpha even when he was so close to her.

"Mhm, let me have him." He said and took the child her, the omega released her hands slightly from the pressure she felt from just being so close to the Alpha. He didn’t need to release his Alpha aura fit her to be affected.

She was not as affected when she was with Luna, maybe because Luna was more friendly and lively compared to their alpha which made her aura more suppressed. The air around her was warm making everyone feel at ease around her.

"You can leave now, Anne," Dana said, knowing that she was trying to stand on her feet without fidgeting away in the presence of her mate. With that, Anne bowed and ran l back to where she stayed awaiting her summon again.

Lazarus looked at Rossie who was now standing. She gave a small bow to him with a "welcome back, Alpha," which he only nodded to as his attention was focused on the pup in his arms.

His cries had started found down the very moment he carried him and he nestled his head on his father’s chest until he tapered crying and fell asleep. Dana’s mouth opened and closed but no words came out of her mouth. She had tried many times and in many different ways to make him stop crying but he did not stop and now, Lazarus did nothing at all but just carry him and he was asleep, just like that.

"Looks like he only wanted to be in his father’s arms," Rossie commented and Dana pouted.

Ariel had never been picky before. Maybe he was only worried about his father. After all, Lazarus did say something happened while he was away.

"Then he will be the one taking care of him from now on," Dana said and went to plop down on the couch.

"He was just worried," Lazarus said and smiled at her words. It was not that he wouldn’t want to do it, but his job and duty wouldn’t allow him to be a stay home dad.
