Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 241 - 240. Sneaking around
Away from Shadow Moon Pack,
Alpha Norman stood with Crysta beside him. They listened to the cries of the humans coming from the vampire territory that seemed never-ending.
None of them knew what caused so much ruckus and why so many humans had to be tortured alive but they knew that it was nothing good. They had been so busy planning to kill their respective enemies that they failed to pay attention to what was happening in the vampires’ territory.
It was even now that, Alpha Norman came to realize that it had been so long yet Sebastian hadn’t reached out to him or recruited any more rogues to join him. The war was alpriavhun and all sides were getting ready. It was time Sebastian left and came to him. Stating with anyone else at this point was dangerous both to Sebastian’s life and their plans.
The cries increased and Norman wished he did not have to hear but he drew closer so he could sneak in and find Sebastian. He had been given a job to do but he was yet to deliver and time was not on their side anymore.
"You do know that they will catch you if you go any further than this right?" Crysta asked looking at him with her hands thrown across her chest. With all the creams of the annoying humans, no vampire would be napping in the middle of a night such as this. Norman seems.to forget that they thrive in the dark.
"I am careful enough to stay downwind and the noise here would cover us," He replied and she smiled. The smile did not reach her eyes. He was foolish to think she would walk any further with him when there was a huge possibility that Cillia would be at the epicentre of whatever was going on in there and some witch or vampire would recognize and report it to her.
She was not afraid of Cillia but she wanted as little interactions with the other which as much as possible. Cillia was a pain and having the vampires on her side was another pain. "Go alone, I will stay and wait. Should you die, I will carry out our plan," she said and Norman stopped to look at her.
"Sometimes I feel like you are afraid of the coven head," he said walking back to where she stood. "Or maybe you don’t dare go any closer because if the human crying there. You still care for him."
Norman did not know which was worse, the fact that she was loving the man who would kill her without a second thought or the fact that he loved her and she did not even notice him but he kept on going after her trying to make her notice him.
"Crysta," he called when she didn’t say anything.
"I am not afraid of Cillia, I will never be. I do not care for the humans," she denied.
"What about the other thing?" he asked. Though he knew that her answer would hurt him, he still asked.
"It does not matter now anyway," she said and turned around to leave the place. It was too noisy for her liking and the shifter she was walking with had become annoying.
"Crysta," Norman called following behind her. He grabbed hold of her hand to stop her from walking any further than she already had.
"What now?" she asked turning abruptly you gave him and slammed her face on his chest.
"You promised you wouldn’t leave until I was done, we had a plan," he reminded her and she glared at him.
"Would you stop talking about things that I don’t want to talk about?" she asked pulling her can’t out of his grip. "Jared is in the past and I have other things to think of and I don’t want to be reminded about him."
Norman thought otherwise. How else would she learn to look at him if she didn’t nit let go of the humans who did not value her besides the fact that he saw her as a tool he could use? The only way for her to let go of him was to make her hate him by reminding her of the pain he caused her.
"I will try not to bring him up again," He said despite his thoughts. "I have an Alpha to kill, he won’t be easy, so I need to focus on that is why I came here to get that shifter. I need his help."
"I think he was caught and is dead right now," Crysta said. Norman frowned. The possibility was there but the boy had been smart enough to hide himself very well in the past. "Don’t others better than you trust yourself." Crystal ad iced and walked back to where she stood before.
They both walked closer to the we’re the house was coming from and they could see course gathered out there and Azrail standing right in front of the cave with Leroy behind him. As if noticing their presence, he turned to look into the dark trees and frowned shifting in his position to face them. His grey eyes turned red as he tried to see what was hidden there.
"Leroy," he called and Leeoy turned to look at him surprised that Azrail was looking elsewhere when he should be paying attention to the cave’s entrance should anything run out of there. "Keep watch," he said and left without waiting for whatever Leroy would have to say.
He had seen the man and the woman behind the trees the woman was familiar while the man, he could he was a shifter, a powerful one but he had never seen him anywhere near the Alpha Supreme.
They shouldn’t be here and if they were meant to be here, Lord Dmitri would have told him to keep watch over them but he did not and they were sneaking around. He moved through the trees like the wind they seemed to have been taken by surprise because of the shock on their faces.
He heard them curse under their breaths before they disappeared just when he was about to reach them. He stopped where they once stood and took note of their scents. He may not recognize who they are, but someone else might. It was a time like this when he wished he had Lucinda by his side, she would have been able to keep up with the witch.
