"Keep her safe," Dana said to Lucy and vanished from their sight. Kora and Livy exchanged glances with each other and then nodded their heads simultaneously. This was better, to lose everyone else, that way no one would get hurt when they decided to carry out their plan.

We should stop you’d rest, Luna," Sophia suggested..she was tasked by the Alpha to keep Luna safe at all costs Kora wouldn’t walk away from a fight even in her condition.

Kora stopped and looked at them, she was not tired but she could see Rosy trying to keep up. Her eyes met with that of Emily who gave her a nod. "Alright, let’s rest here," she said and moved close to a tree to lean on.

She placed her can’t on the tree and about her so she could focus. The tips of her hair changed color and became green when she touched the tree and talked into its connection with the ground through its roots. She wanted to know what was happening around them and what better way to do so than through the ground where they stood and walked?

Flowing the roots which were like light strings in her vision she switched from tree to tree until she got to the first group which was not very far from where they were and they approached them.

"We have company," Kora said and stood up. Hunters were coming their way and there were many.

"Let us take care of it," Emily said and walked to stand in front of Kora and she glared at her. Every one of them was concerned about her but she didn’t seem to think about herself. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"She is right, Luna, come with me," Rossie said and took Kora’s hand leading away from the others and in the opposite direction where she had pointed the enemy.

Darren stood and watched from afar the pack house burning. It was a good thing that he had everyone evacuate the pack. He could imagine the massacre that would have taken place tonight. It would have been more painful now than the pack was mostly filled with children.

Somehow, it felt like a breeding season in the Shadow Moon Pack. Every couple was having children at this time or about to have children.

"Should we attack Alpha?" Mateo asked. Everyone was waiting for Darren to hive the order and they would attack those who had marched into the pack and destroy everything they thought was useful and important. The annoying part was that those were important.

Killing them now would ensure that this group never got to the others and their power became stronger and harder to deal with. They could also pick up the faint scent of the one human every supernatural creature had come to know and hate. It was an opportunity to kill the head of the organization.

"No, allow them. We will work according to the plan," Darren said. He held back a growl when they moved to the mansion and set it ablaze.

Everyone turned to look at him when this happened secretly praying this would be it. That he would give the order now to attack the humans.

"Alpha," Mateo and Levi called when they saw him clench his fist and little dark veins could be seen on his neck even with the tattoos. The color of his eyes changed and became dark, no color could be seen at all. "I think we should leave and meet with the others now," Mateo said. This was bad, there was no Lucinda, no Lucy, and no Kora. Even the most trusted healer was not with them. If anything happened now they doubted they would be able to stop him.

Darren shut his eyes as he tried to calm down before things went south. He wouldn’t want that to happen now but he craved blood. Seeing them burn down the pack house was already annoying enough, burning down the mansion he had seen Kora put so much effort into decorating was a whole new feat that they had reached.

"Alpha," Levi called again to make sure what they were saying was getting to him.

"I am fine," Darren replied and they looked at him without saying a word. Those words were now his regular reply when he was asked anything that had to do with his health and the blood lust he often had. "We will wait here, if they come this way, kill them all," he instructed, changing his mind on the spot about following the plan.

"Understood," Mateo and Levi replied. They could see that he was still sane and the decision was not made purely out of impulsiveness.

"Prepare to fight everyone," Levi said and Mateo raised a brow. "He said if they come this way, this is the fastest way to the Blood Moon Pack, they will come here," Levi explained.

"You found no one still?" Jared asked the person who now played the role of second in command. He still could not believe that the man whose help he thought would mean the world to him was the Alpha supreme he had been searching for. He was as annoyed and angry as he was surprised.

"No one, they are gone, sir," the man replied and Jared frowned.

"They have to be somewhere nearby, Shifters never leave their packs and roam far unless they are looking for new packs. If the weak ones are gone, the warriors should be around to defend their pack... find them," Jared said and stressed the last two lines. He would not be happy and content if he left this pack without killing a single werewolf. His coming here would be a total waste of precious time.

"Yes sir," the man replied and went to give more to others while Jared remained standing and staring at the burning mansion which he learned belonged to Darren McCain. He would love to be the one who runs a bullet through the Lycan’s heart and watch him take his last breath.

After several minutes of searching and the mansion was almost completely turned to rubble, he sighed because there was no one in the pack. He was just angry and because of that, he had made them stay here longer than they should have. He should have been leaving now after telling Hunter that they were on their way.

"Stop and call them all back. We leave immediately," Jared said to his second in command.
