Fated To The Dark Alpha
Chapter 48. A glimpse of the past 2
Kora went forward to help him but she went through their bodies like they were intangible. That was when she realized that only she could see them and they couldn’t and neither of them could touch the other. Kora huffed and puffed her cheeks in anger for having to stand aside and watch when she preferred doing something.
Soon she saw the girl run back with two warriors and a woman, one appeared to be the girl’s father, and the other a pack warrior. The woman held the girl behind her back protecting her. Her eyes were glowing blue and on her body, baby blue coloured fur had sprouted covering most of her as she growled at the witch who had her pup. It looked as if she wanted to tear her to pieces but had to stay back to protect her daughter keeping her rooted to the ground.
While the two men had shifted into their beasts one being a red wolf shocking her as she had never seen a red wolf before. And the other beast is a black wolf which was a common colour. Her eyes moved back and forth between the baby blue she-wolf and the fiery red wolf of the man.
Her attention was pulled back to the witch when a wisp of smoke went through her aiming for the girl who was in the woman’s arms. "Watch out!" she shouted forgetting that they couldn’t see or hear her.
Just when it was about to make contact with the girl, a wall of fire and water was raised shielding the mother and child and successfully dispersing the smoke. The protective shield also disappeared.
Kora saw the she-wolf wave her and the water from the shield fell to the ground and sank while the triangle-like thing on the head of the red wolf glow and the fire was dispersed.
While her attention was on the two weirdly coloured wolves the black wolf also attacked the witch whose focus was on the she-wolf and her pup and successfully took the boy away from her grasp.
The surrounding started fading and the next thing that she knew was waking up and still in the cave. She looked around and she was still lying on the bed. The glowing crystals around the walls of the cave had dimmed a little allowing her to sleep peacefully.
She then steps out of the cave to get some fresh air. The outside was dark and the night sky was brightly lit by the moon. She sat on a rock outside the cave and looked up at the moon as she tries to understand what her dream was about.
"Why are you out at this moment?" Ezra’s voice came from her side. She turned to look at him. "It’s late, Kora, you go inside and rest."
"I just woke up," Kora said.
"Nightmares?" Ezra asked and came to sit next to her on the rock.
"I don’t know," Kora replied. And he raised a brow at her.
"What did you dream about? Care to share?" He asked and looked at her waiting patiently for her response. If her knows anything about the girl next to him, it was that she would not say a word if you are not patient enough to wait.
"Why are you out at this time?" She asked and Ezra was not surprised that she tried to change the subject rather than answer the question.
"just came back from patrol." He answered and she nodded her head. "Now it’s your turn," Kora said nothing a looked into the darkness of the night. "It’s only fair that you answer mine, Kora."
"Do you know if there used to be different coloured wolves that lived here?" she asked and Ezra blinked at her. "Like red and blue wolves? The Kind on the drawings on the walls of the cave." Kora explained.
"I have heard about it," Ezra responded and Kora gave her full attention to him. "But I have never seen one before." He said and Kora nodded her head. "Why do you ask?
"It’s nothing," Kora said and stood up. "You are right, it’s late and I should do to sleep." She turned and Ezra saw her walk toward the cave.
"If you ever need someone to talk to, I will be here for you, Kora." He said and Kora paused for a moment, nodding her head to him, she proceeded to walk into the cave. Ezra stood up and walked back into the woods from whence he came.

Shadow moon pack,
"How many are dead?" Darren asked Mateo and Levi. Leo, Logan Lucy, and Lucinda were sitting on the couch in the living room while Darren was standing and facing the window watching the night sky with his hands inside his pockets. At some point, he glared at the moon.
"We lost thirty warriors at the borders, Fifty men were severely injured and need the attention of a healer or a doctor and they are in the pack’s hospital. The rest are either already healed or are almost healed." Reported Mateo standing behind Darren, with him was Levi who had returned from Jewel park a few hours ago only to learn of what had happened in his pack.
"Mm." Darren hummed with a nod of the head.
"None was lost, Alpha, but we have ten who are currently at the hospital under intensive care. Everyone was accounted for." Levi said. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"Send my condolence to the mates and family of the deceased, tell them that they will be compensated for the loss of their loved ones," Darren said, turning to look at his beta and gamma.
"Yes, Alpha." They both said with a bow before they turned and walked out of the living room.
"How are your wounds." He asked Leo and Logan who seem to be having some difficulty healing completely.
"Almost healed, alpha," Logan replied with his eyes closed.
"Help them out," Darren said to Lucy and Lucinda. He knew that for their healing to be so slow, magic was involved and it will only heal when the magic was out of their bodies.
After being treated by the girls for some minutes they were able to heal completely. "How do you feel?" Darren asked.
"As good as new, thanks alpha," Logan spoke while Leo was trying to be as quiet and invisible as possible. Darren nodded at Logan and then turned to face Leo.
"May I know why you disobeyed me, Leo?"
