Chapter 2806 - Unstoppable Force

Lian Yue was the dazzling full moon of the Court of the Southern Heavens, an unparalleled, otherworldly beauty in the eyes of the cultivators of the Five Great Continents. Her beauty was startling, her talent extraordinary. Even though she was “only” in eleventh place in the Unfettered Ranking, her fame wasn’t the least bit inferior to those in the top three!

When Lian Yue offered her Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform to Li Muchen, everyone found it hard to believe. None of them anticipated that Li Muchen would refuse!

What was going on?

No one knew, and they were all bewildered.

“Miss Lian Yue, you really can’t just give the Divine Contemplation Lotus Platforms away lightly,” said the dark-robed, white-haired Yuwen Che. “If he wants to compete, let him do so on his own strength!”

Mo Lanhe said, “According to the rules, Dao Protectors are not to intervene in disputes between Unfettered Realm disciples. As an expert of Sevendeaths Court, surely you won’t break the rules?”

Yuwen Che snorted coldly. “Rest assured. Sevendeaths Court disdains to engage in such despicable acts!”

Mo Lanhe inwardly sighed in relief. So long as no Heavenly Monarchs are involved, this will be simple!

Su Yi took this in calmly. He had never planned to rely on the rules. If the other party followed the rules, great. If they didn’t, then he wouldn’t either. It made no difference either way. However, he could tell that Mo Lanhe had good intentions, so he naturally wouldn’t say anything.

“Come on, then. Show me the majesty of Sevendeaths Court!” said Su Yi. As he spoke, he took a step forward.

All eyes were instantly upon him. Everyone could tell that Su Yi had chosen the Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform currently occupied by Xun Jiu’an, a legacy disciple of Sevendeaths Court.

Xun Jiu’an was the heaven-defying monster in seventh place in the Unfettered Rankings. Rumor had it that he’d been able to cross cultivation levels and fight Divine Wandering Dao Lords from the moment he first proved his Dao and entered the Unfettered Realm!

Three thousand, nine hundred years had passed since he’d first entered Eternity. Reliable intelligence indicated that he could have broken into Divine Wandering a long time ago, but that he’d suppressed his cultivation base, all for the sake of entering the Divine Wandering Rankings as soon as he broke through!

Every rank in the top ten of the Unfettered Rankings was extraordinarily significant, and everyone in the top ten was famed throughout the Eternal Heavens Domain. It was no exaggeration to say that any one of them was a historic, unparalleled chosen of heaven, the type to go down in the annals of history.

Xue Chuang, who was in thirty-eighth place, wasn’t even worth looking at compared to Xun Jiu’an.

That was why Yuwen Che was so calm and confident.

He’s just an Unfettered Realm sword cultivator from the Literati Continent. Does he really think that defeating Xue Chuang means he’s qualified to compete for a Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform? How ignorant!

As Su Yi took a step forward, the Unfettered Realm experts of Sevendeaths Court appeared in front of it.

Heavenly Monarchs weren’t permitted to intervene, but that didn’t mean Xun Jiu’an’s sectmates had to remain bystanders!

Their movements were effectively a declaration. They were telling Su Yi in no uncertain terms that if he wanted to seize Xun Jiu’an’s spot, he’d have to get through them first!

Su Yi ignored them.

“I am Hua Fu of Sevendeaths Court. Please enlighten me.” A man in embroidered dragon robes stepped forth. He was tall, with flowing robes, and he held a fiery alms bowl aloft.

When he flung it, the bowl flew through the sky, and a bird condensed out fiery Laws of the Grand Dao. It whooshed forth, creating a flaming windstorm with every beat of its wings.

Su Yi didn’t even look at it. He made no attempt to dodge or block.

Nonetheless, the flames collapsed and vanished before they could even get close to him, as harmless as a clear breeze blowing across his face.

Hua Fu’s expression shifted, but just as he was about to change tactics, Su Yi took a light, airy step forward. As unassuming as it looked, it went off like a thunderclap. The flaming alms bowl slammed into the ground as if struck by lightning.

Blood gushed from the corners of Hua Fu’s lips as he was sent flying backward. He fell into the dirt hundreds of feet away.

Su Yi had defeated Hua Fu in a single step!

Everyone who saw it was astonished. Even the Heavenly Monarchs couldn’t help but raise their eyebrows.

The other Unfettered Realm experts of Sevendeaths Court exchanged glances, then chose to attack together.

Everyone capable of becoming a legacy disciple of Sevendeaths Court was a rare, unparalleled figure capable of standing proudly above others of the same level.

On top of all that, they received the legacies of a Heavenly Sovereign faction, so when they attacked with all their might, they were naturally terrifying beyond measure.

Now, over a dozen Unfettered Realm disciples attacked at once, launching their supreme divine abilities and killer weapons. Their combined power was enough to make the onlookers’ scalps go numb with fright, and their hearts quivered uncontrollably.

Mo Lanhe had long since brought Fu Lingyun to safety further away.

When he saw this, he sighed to himself. Why is it that the cultivators of the Five Great Continents have such a superiority complex? Why is it that the legacy disciples of Heavenly Sovereign factions don’t take the cultivators of the Literati Continent the least bit seriously?

One look at their power is explanation enough! Yun Qiaojun is the strongest Unfettered Realm cultivator in the Literati Continent, yet here, he’s doomed to mediocrity!

But it was then that Su Yi suddenly vanished into thin air. Streak after streak of sword qi exploded into being, then spread throughout the surrounding area.

Kaboom!

A blast of smoke filled the air as impacts went off like thunderclaps.

The crowd watched as the disciples’ divine abilities and killer weapons blew up like fireworks. After a moment’s brilliance, they instantly faded away.

Over a dozen treasures, including seals, flying knives, fly whisks, and halberds scattered on impact.

The disciples of Sevendeaths Court didn’t even have time to react before sword qi slammed into them.

By the time the dust and smoke died down, figures were sprawled out across the ground. All of them were heavily injured and bleeding from numerous gashes, their bodies indistinct, meaty pulps. Desperate cries rose and fell.

A sudden downpour of sword qi, and over a dozen disciples of Sevendeaths Court lay in puddles of their own blood.

All of it happened in a flash.

Su Yi, meanwhile, had already left the area and arrived before Xun Jiu’an’s Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform. He faced away from the carnage, his blue robes billowing around them. They were utterly pristine, without the slightest speck of dust. It was as if he’d never attacked.

A deathly silence descended over the area. No one could have imagined that Li Muchen would win instantaneously, even when outnumbered.

He’d just defeated over a dozen legacy disciples of Sevendeaths Court! All of them were dazzling existences, yet now, they’d broken like paper window paneling. They couldn’t block even a single hit!

A sentence rose unbidden to the onlookers’ minds. He blasted through them like they weren’t even there!

Some of the Unfettered Realm cultivators fell into a daze. Chills coursed down their spines. From beginning to end, none of them saw how Li Muchen attacked.

The Heavenly Monarchs exchanged glances, their hearts shaking. Given their cultivations, they could naturally see the battle in full detail, but that was exactly why they were so astonished.

Su Yi had attacked just once, creating a downpour of sword rain with a single swing of his sleeve.

Victory and defeat were clear by the time the last drop fell!

The disciples of Sevendeaths Court really couldn’t block a single hit. It wasn’t that they weren’t strong, but that the sword rain completely overwhelmed them. They couldn’t block it, nor could they counter it!

Mo Lanhe had anticipated this, but he was nonetheless stunned and impressed.

If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, who’d have believed that an Unfettered Realm disciple could display such unbelievable attainments in the Dao of the Sword?

“How... could such a monster have arisen in the Literati Continent?” Yuwen Che’s expression darkened, his eyes full of bewilderment. And disbelief!

Heavenly Monarch Jin Xun of Eternal Lightning Court furrowed his brow. Defeating so many opponents so easily proves that Li Muchen is, at the very least, worthy of a spot in the top ten of the Unfettered Ranking! There’s no doubt about it. All of us severely underestimated him.

Lian Yue nodded inwardly. Just as I thought. Someone with such an unbelievable landscape of the heart couldn’t possibly be just another ‘ordinary’ peerless genius.

Su Yi’s Dao heart had left a deep impression on her. She’d have found it stranger if he wasn’t powerful.

“Hah! It seems we’re dealing with a deeply hidden expert,” Yuwen Che said with a cold laugh. The depths of his gaze surged with murderous intent. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Su Yi disregarded him and looked at Xun Jiu’an.

His long hair hung loose, and his robes were white. His features were clear and distinctive, and he was enveloped in the totem of an altar born of the Grand Dao. Countless lifeforms appeared within it, all of them prostrating piously before him.

Xun Jiu’an was like the king of heaven, mysterious and unfathomable, with an extraordinary presence.

Su Yi had killed Xue Sheng and Wu Xun, but one look at Xun Jiu’an’s presence, and it was obvious that he was far beyond either of them.

When Su Yi looked over, the seated Xun Jiu’an silently opened his eyes.

“Martial Uncle Yuwen warned you out of the goodness of his heart, but you didn’t appreciate his kindness. You really don’t know what’s good for you.” Xun Jiu’an slowly rose, and a terrifying aura spread out. He was like a volcano on the brink of eruption.

Mo Lanhe’s gaze was complicated. This is the man in seventh place on the Unfettered Ranking? He really is terrifying! His aura alone is enough to put the vast majority of the Divine Wandering Realm Dao Lords to shame!

All eyes were instantly on Xun Jiu’an.

The Unfettered Ranking drew from a pool consisting of everyone in the thirty-three continents, four seas, five celestial capitals, and six pure lands of the Eternal Heavens Domain.

Xun Jiu’an had made it all the way to seventh place. It was obvious how monstrous he was.

It was no exaggeration to say that even Heavenly Sovereigns would value someone in the top ten!

Yet now, Li Muchen, a sword cultivator of the Literati Continent, wanted to fight Xun Jiu’an for a Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform. It was only natural that this would draw attention.

Perhaps because of the way Su Yi had defeated Xue Chuang in a single attack earlier, or because he’d defeated all those Sevendeaths Court disciples with a swing of his sleeves, no one thought him unworthy of challenging Xun Jiu’an! Even those who’d thought poorly of his chances earlier couldn’t help but watch eagerly.

“I don’t know what’s good for me?” Su Yi laughed dryly. “What? You’re saying that you’re allowed to occupy a Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform, but I’m a sinner for coveting one?”

Xun Jiu’an said coldly, “I dislike such battles of words. Since you made it here, you’re indeed worthy of challenging me. Come on, then. Let’s see just what you’re made of.”

He stepped off the Divine Contemplation Lotus Platform. With each step he took, his aura soared, and the altar totem solidified around him.

Soon, the sound of early humanity praying and making sacrifices to their gods filled the air. It was as if the Grand Dao of antiquity were calling out praises.

All of this made it obvious how extraordinary Xun Jiu’an was. Even others of the same level couldn’t help but feel ashamed of their own inferiority by comparison.

Even the Heavenly Monarchs looked on with envy.

How fortunate is Sevendeaths Court to have such a monstrous disciple so blessed by good fortune in their ranks!
