Flash Marriage: My Penniless Billionaire Husband
Chapter 73: Did She And Christopher Do It?
Christopher stared at her red ears.
"Would you like some wine?"
Janice thought for a moment and agreed.
Not long after, Christopher came back with a bottle of red wine and two glasses.
He poured a little for Janice and handed it over.
Before he could raise the glass, Janice downed it in one gulp.
"Christopher..."
"Slow down."
Although he poured her a little, the wine was much stronger than what she was used to.
Janice drank up the wine, but she still didn’t feel satisfied. She thought, "I should drink more. When the time comes, I don’t want to feel shy or afraid of pain."
So, she handed the glass to him again.
"I want more."
Christopher didn’t expect Janice to drink more. It was already too much for her alcohol tolerance.
But looking at her persistence, Christopher poured in a little.
However, just as he put the bottle back, Janice had downed it again.
Now Janice seemed to be a little dizzy. She put down the glass and closed her eyes, approaching him.
"Christopher, why are you saying?"
As she spoke, she stretched out her hands to hold his cheeks.
Christopher frowned at her red cheeks.
It seemed that she was drunk again.
He said, "Go to sleep."
Janice shook her head and said, "No, I said I will give it a try tonight." Janice said with a drunken smile.
Christopher chuckled as he stared at her stubborn expression.
"What else can you do now?"
Janice said, "Of course. I can do a lot of things. I will show you."
Then she kissed him on the lips.
"Look, I can kiss you."
Christopher was stunned by the kiss. He stared at Janicel’s face, his eyes gradually darkening.
In the next second, he held the back of Janice head and kissed her.
"Oh..."
Janice whispered and also wrapped her arms around his neck to respond warmly.
The temperature was gradually rising, and the lights turned from bright to dim yellow.
Just when Christopher was about to lose his control, the person who was still kissing him fell asleep on his shoulder.
Christopher’s eyes were wide open, then his breathing gradually calmed down.
He gently put her on the bed. Looking at her sleeping, he couldn’t help chuckling.
"You’re really like a little piggy."
It seemed that another cold shower was required.
Thinking of this, Christopher turned to the bathroom again.
Janice slept soundly. When she woke up the next day, she felt a little uncomfortable.
She sat up and reached out to rub her head.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Christopher sleeping on the side. She immediately remembered the scene of her kiss with him last night.
However, her memory only stopped at the scene of that passionate kiss. As for the latter part, she had no impression of it.
So, did she and Christopher do it last night?
But why did she have no feeling at all?
She was confused.
"Morning."
Suddenly, Christopher’s voice was heard.
Janice’s face instantly turned red.
"Morning."
She covered half of her face.
Christopher was so sleepy that he didn’t notice. He just turned over, put his arms around her waist, and rubbed his sleepy cheek against her.
...
Janice was ticklish, but she couldn’t help but turn around and secretly glance at him.
Seeing that his eyes were closed again, she didn’t know whether he was asleep or awake. She softly called, "Christopher."
"Hmm?" He made a nasal sound with his eyes closed.
Janice paused for a while and decided to ask. After all, it was the first time for her, and she didn’t want to be so confused. Thinking of this, she bit her lip.
"Did we..."
"What?" Christopher opened his eyes and looked at her.
Janice touched her forehead and found it hard to say. "Well."
Christopher thought for two seconds, then he seemed to understand her meaning.
He was now completely awake.
She didn’t know how sensitive the man in the morning was, and dared to mention what happened last night.
"Do you want to recall it?"
Christopher dangerously narrowed his eyes.
Before Janice could react, he grabbed her by the arm. Then she fell onto the bed.
Christopher took advantage of the situation and moved his lips closer to her. His eyes were as hot as fire.
Just as his lips were about to kiss hers...
Suddenly, an ear-piercing phone rang.
Only then did Christopher stop. He let go of her and slowly sat up. He reached out to pick up the phone from the night table.
Rob’s voice came through. "Mr. Bateman, your father-in-law has come to the office and wants to see you."
Christopher took a glance at Janice. After that, he walked out of the room to answer the call.
Seeing him leave, Janice finally let out a sigh of relief.
Just now, Christopher was as scary as a furious lion.
However, did they do it or not?
When she was thinking about the question, she heard footsteps. As Christopher entered, she quickly pulled up the blanket to cover her face.
Christopher saw her reaction. He walked over with a chuckle and pulled the sheet
away.
Janice had to look at him directly, only to find that he had put on his clothes. "Are you going out?"
Christopher squatted down. "There’s something urgent to take care of at work."
Janice blinked. "Okay."
"There’s food in the fridge if you feel hungry." Christopher added.
Janice nodded.
"Then I’ll be going." Christopher stood up and walked towards the door. However, he thought of something and said, "Last night, someone fell asleep while she was kissing me."
By the time she understood what he meant, Christopher had already left. So, did she fail last night?
Thinking of this, she couldn’t help patting her head in annoyance. "I am never drinking so much wine again!"
After Christopher left, Janice did not continue to sleep.
She washed up and heat herself a glass of milk, and then went to the TV station.
"Morning."
"Morning." Janice greeted her colleagues. And when she just sat down, Lucy stretched out her head.
"Janice, what happened to you these days? You seldom ask for leave. Did something happen?"
Lucy asked with her big eyes wide open in confusion.
Janice said, "Yes, but it’s been solved."
A rare smile appeared on her face.
Lucy said.
"That’s good. But I heard that a handsome guy came to find you two days ago. Do you have a boyfriend?"
Janice knew that the guy Lucy was talking about was Christopher. So she said, "Something like that."
...
"Really?"
Lucy was surprised.
Janice nodded. She didn’t explain that they were married since she didn’t want her colleagues to think that she was too rude to invite them to her wedding.
Lucy said enviously, "I didn’t expect you to get attached so soon."
Janice smiled and said nothing.
"By the way, our TV station has changed a lot since you were away," Lucy said.
Janice was stunned. "What changes?"
Lucy said, "I heard that there is a new female shareholder."
"Oh."
Janice did not say anything.
"Aren’t you curious about who that woman is?" Lucy could not help asking.
Janice shook her head. "That’s upper management, does it matter whether we know?"
Lucy thought about it and agreed. However, she could not help but continue, "I heard that she’s a professor who just returned from abroad."
"Oh, really?"
"I also heard that she is the best friend of Vivian Swift."
"Oh." Janice replied casually.
She didn’t even know who Vivian Swift was. How could she know her best friend?
At this time, Chief Gray called.
"Meeting."
Only then did Lucy shut up.
When Janice came out of the conference room with her colleagues after the periodic meeting, she met Benjamin, who was walking toward her.
Janice didn’t pay much attention to him. Just like before, she nodded and was about to walk past him.
However, Benjamin stopped her. "Janice."
As soon as he called out, her colleagues also stopped.
Upon hearing Benjamin, Janice could not help but feel annoyed. However, under the watchful eyes of her colleagues, she could only brace herself to respond.
"Director Taylor, what can I do for you?"
Benjamin glanced at the people around and said, "I have something to discuss with you."
Her colleagues tactfully left after hearing Benjamin’s words.
After watching them leave, Janice said, "What’s the matter?"
Benjamin glanced at her and finally looked at her face. He said, "Janice, what’s your decision on the show I proposed?"
It was only then that Janice remembered. She said, "I think I’m doing a good job as a reporter. I don’t want to be a host for a show." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
A trace of disappointment flashed across Benjamin’s face, but he hid it quickly.
"Janice, this is a good opportunity. I really hope that you can put aside these personal grievances and consider it from a professional point of view."
Upon hearing his words, Janice felt uncomfortable. "Director Taylor, you’re overthinking things. There’s no personal grievance. I simply don’t want to accept it."
Benjamin was startled. His expression was a little grave as he spoke.
"Janice, are you still blaming me for leaving three years ago without saying goodbye?"
"I’ve never thought so," Janice replied.
Benjamin frowned slightly and said.
"Okay, I’ll tell you what happened three years ago."
After that, ignoring her opposition, he took her arm and brought her to the rooftop.
"What are you doing!"
On the roof, Janice shook off Benjamin grip and turned to leave, but was stopped.
Facing his deep and persistent gaze, Janice was irritated. "What do you want to say? Tell me quickly. I have to return to work."
Only then did Benjamin release her.
