Chapter 385 - 190: Fight or Die (Part 2)
Although it was just a self-initiated challenge match, the Mecha Fighting Arena gave it special privileges, pinning the match announcement at the top of the homepage hall for half an hour. It’s important to note that any match that can be pinned at the top of the Mecha Fighting Arena’s homepage hall is synchronized throughout the universe, all of which are either spectacular or feature teams with a strong reputation and fan base!
Due to this action by the Mecha Fighting Arena, the number of spectators watching this match exploded, including other "aliens" besides humans, all with bizarre appearances, and the space of the audience seats was continuously compressed and expanded.
If Su Jiameng were to take a moment to glance at the spectator count, she would undoubtedly be excited as if injected with adrenaline. The earnings from this match could very likely exceed several times all her previous savings! But she currently doesn’t have the energy for this...
On the very edge of the Human Alliance, millions of light-years away from the Xilena Star System, on a fringe planet, the sandstorm howled, dyeing the world into a dim yellow earth color. This is a very ordinary planet, with living conditions perhaps a thousand times harsher than those of a poor planet.
Although it is an inconspicuous little planet, the military presence stationed on it should not be underestimated. This is because it is already considered the last line of defense and a supply station on the edge of the Alliance, with natural military geographical advantages.
Amid the dim sandstorm, the sparse and scattered houses were vaguely visible, through the dark sky, even the light of the stars seemed incapable of penetrating. This is a place where the living environment is very harsh, yet many warriors have devoted their lives to this land.
Through layers of yellow sand, a crisp jingle of bells came faintly, getting closer and louder. Zooming in, a figure cloaked in a thick, earthy yellow cape moved forward, one hand holding a strangely shaped scepter, braving the howling sand.
As they walked, the fabric of the cloak brushed against itself, making a rustling noise, while the point of the scepter poked a shallow pit on the hard yellow ground. If the sandstorm were to cease at this moment, others might see that the distance between each small pit was exactly the same, not off by a fraction!
A small bar’s door was pushed open, where the person removed their cloak in the wind-sand shelter compartment, then shook it off, covering the floor with yellow sand ashes. After doing so, the person handed the cloak to a peculiar creature clinging to the wall, which at first glance looked like a gecko, except this "gecko" was much larger than those from Earth Era, spreading out to about half the size of an adult human.
In reality, this wasn’t a gecko, but rather an indigenous resident from this edge planet, who chose to rely on the Human Alliance for survival and profit—an "alien." Most of the bars in this area are run by these creatures known as the "Tatazaya."
"Welcome, guest, please come in." The Tatazaya curled its tail, took the cloak handed over by the guest, hung it on a higher wall, then made two gurgling sounds from its throat, and spoke in the Human Alliance’s common language with a very bizarre pronunciation, "Have a pleasant afternoon."
"Pleasant afternoon." The person replied in a slightly hoarse voice, one hand lightly covering something wrapped in long cloth strips hanging at their waist, stood still for a moment, then pushed open the compartment door and entered the bar. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
The bar’s decor distinctly featured the style of the Tatazaya Clan, but due to the long-term presence of Human Alliance soldiers here, the two cultures had been exchanging and colliding. If one looked closely, they could also find traces of Ancient Earth’s flavor.
The bar’s interior was brightly lit, unlike ordinary bars with their multi-colored dazzling lights or dim ambiance.
Calling it a bar, it was actually more like a small inn hotel. When the person entered, they made some noise, causing the patrons inside the bar to instinctively turn their heads. Seeing the newcomer posed no threat, they turned back to continue their worldly chat with their companions.
"Get me a glass of water..." The person found a spot in a corner to sit down, then called a waiter. The Tatazaya is a very poor species, and the members within the clan generally have low intelligence. Fortunately, this planet is also a barren land, which prevented it from being devoured by other cosmic species and instead, found the Human Alliance as a support, benefiting both sides, and their life thrived remarkably.
The waiter was also a Tatazaya, and even one with a half-gecko appearance, half resembling the Human Clan’s two-legged form—a girl. By Tatazaya standards of beauty, this girl was exceptionally beautiful and charming.
