Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed
Chapter 295: Coffin
"From the memories of the dragon, I noticed something strange. Something you were buried with," Mirabella said, the wind whipping her hair around her face. She stretched her hand toward the weathered grave, channeling a fraction of her overwhelming spirit energy. The next moment, the earth started moving, peeling back like water parting before a sovereign. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"I am not disrespecting you because your body isn’t here," she added softly, a rare vulnerability lacing her tone.
BOOOOM!!
The heavy, silver, expensive-looking coffin burst out from the ground, levitating into the air before gently descending. Even with all the years buried beneath the damp earth, the coffin was still as new as ever, untouched by rot or time.
"That man surely spent money on your funeral, even when he knows your body shattered away," she said, her voice dripping with a complex mix of bitterness and cold detachment as she gently placed the coffin on the ground.
She walked toward it, her boots crunching on the displaced dirt. She grabbed the ornate lid, and with one effortless exertion of force, she tore open the coffin. Mirabella stared down into the plush, empty silk lining, her gaze immediately fixed on the only item resting within: a small velvet box.
"I placed this here because I know it was your only Price possession, because it’s your wedding ring... I didn’t know it was..." She whispered. She reached into the void of the casket and took out the box, popping it open to stare at the simple, elegant golden ring resting inside.
"I didn’t know it was your storage ring... When you came to Earth, you lost all your powers, and memories, so you couldn’t use this ring." Mirabella closed her eyes, pooling her vast Spirit Energy and trying to forcibly infuse it into the golden band. To her surprise, the ancient metal didn’t even vibrate; it simply swallowed her god-level energy like a bottomless abyss.
"Huh? Am I missing something?" she asked, opening her eyes and staring at the ring in frustration. After a few seconds of thought, she bit her finger, drawing a bead of crimson blood, and dropped it onto the gold surface.
’I read about this in many web novels, if it’s from your family, especially an ancient family, use your blood,’ she thought, hoping the bloodline of the Sun family running through her veins would trigger the artifact. But to her complete surprise, the ring remained still, the blood simply rolling off its pristine surface.
"Seems I am missing something here!!" she muttered in confusion, staring at the golden ring on her palm. It was an artifact that completely defied the logic of the world she had mastered.
"Maybe only Mom can unlock this ring, I need to locate her second soul fragment. I am sure she can help me unlock it." She narrowed her eyes, the gears of her mind turning as she weighed the implications of such heavy security.
"What the hell is inside this ring that will need this level of protection? Is it a Supreme Class skill? Or another Supreme Class artifact?" She shook her head, forcing herself to calm down. Speculation would not grant her strength.
"No, I shouldn’t get into conclusions. I need to advance to the Third World, but I also don’t need to rush it. With the memories I gained from that dragon, the fourth world is getting ready for war, which will surely affect the Third and second worlds, turning them into graveyard, I need to get stronger, or I won’t survive what is coming ahead."
"What are you talking about, Big Sister?"
Carl’s voice sounded behind her. Mirabella wasn’t surprised; she had already detected his presence the moment he crossed the 500-meter threshold.
"Come here Carl," Mirabella said, not turning around.
Carl walked toward her, his footsteps light. He stopped at her right, staring down into the empty, silver coffin in surprise. His gaze slowly drifted to the stone marker, seeing the engraved words: Loving Mother and Wife, Here lies Lady Genevieve.
"Um... Big sister, isn’t this your mother’s grave?" he asked in disbelief.
"It’s her grave, but do you see any remains?" Mirabella asked back.
Carl shook his head, his brow furrowing.
"That’s because when my mother died, her body shattered into light... Carl, you know about the Third server, but do you know about the fourth?" Mirabella asked, her words dropping like an anchor and stunning Carl into silence.
"My Mother came from the Fourth world, and I am 100% sure your mother or father also came from that world," Mirabella revealed, completely freezing Carl in place.
"How’s that possible? If the fourth server is the same with the second server, they will be stronger than us, but the Parents I remember are ordinary people," Carl argued, his mind struggling to reconcile his mundane childhood memories with the cosmic power scales of the higher realms.
Mirabella sighed softly, turning to face him. "Carl, Galaxy Fall is a separate world from ours... Yes, it runs like a game, but it’s just like ours. Look at Hitachi, Rose, Aurelia, and even David, they are living humans, you can’t call them NPC."
"So the servers are other worlds?" Carl asked in shock, the scope of the universe suddenly expanding infinitely in his mind.
Mirabella nodded her head. "The first, second, third and fourth servers are all worlds much stronger and bigger than this planet," Mirabella said, confirming the terrifying truth that the "game" they had been playing was a harsh, dimensional reality.
"That’s why Big sister said she wasn’t from Earth, you are from Galaxy Fall, the fourth world," Carl concluded, his awe palpable.
Mirabella nodded her head again. "Not only I, we are from the fourth world," she said seriously.
’The Golden Angel Clan is an ancient family, I am sure they’re from the fourth world...’ Mirabella theorized internally. ’There is only one way to prove this... But, will Carl agree--’
"Big sister, should we go and check my parents’ graves too?" Carl asked, his sudden proposition stunning Mirabella in place. She had expected fear or denial, not such resolute curiosity.
"You... You mean you want to see if their remains are still there? Are you okay with that?" she asked in surprise, analyzing his expression for any signs of grief or hesitation.
"Big Sister can do it, so of course, I can..." He turned toward her, offering a bright, courageous smile.
"Besides... I also want to know."
