Getting Stronger By Fighting
Chapter 783 - 781: Mysterious Place_1
At the mention of this, Luo Xue’s expression turned significantly paler, as if a nightmare had been touched upon. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Luo Xue lowered her head, her fingers twisting together. She hesitated for a long moment, then clenched her teeth slightly and finally began, "Didn’t we get separated in the Teleportation Formation back then?"
"After that, I found myself alone in this sea domain. But when I first arrived, I had no knowledge of the situation, nor was I clear about what exactly awaited me here. I didn’t know the power of the demonic beasts here, so every step was fraught with peril."
"Later, I hadn’t been in the sea domain for long when I encountered those Priests. In the end, they took me away."
"Fortunately, the Priests had already set the time for the sacrifice, so I was able to wait for Brother Wang to rescue me. If you had been just a bit later, I might have already become a sacrifice."
Hearing her words, a touch of bitterness entered Wang Zhan’s heart. He patted Luo Xue’s shoulder and comforted her, "Since we’re reunited now, you don’t need to worry about such things in the future. Rest assured, no matter what happens, I’ll shelter you from any storm."
"Brother Wang, you’re not joking with me, are you?"
Luo Xue’s eyes widened. "During this time, I’ve constantly thought about our time together. That experience also made me realize something: when we’re apart, my own situation becomes exceptionally difficult. So, naturally, I want to improve my strength. That way, I won’t hold everyone back."
"However, I’ve always struggled to improve my strength. But while in the sea domain, I encountered something strange."
Wang Zhan smiled and asked, "Tell me, what kind of strange thing?"
"Once, while wandering in a part of the sea domain, I sensed a familiar aura, as if something was calling to me. But due to my weak strength, I didn’t dare approach too closely. Besides, I didn’t understand much about anything in the sea domain, so I quickly abandoned the idea. But now, I increasingly feel there might be some deeper Mystery to it."
"So, if Brother Wang has time, could you accompany me to explore that part of the sea domain again?"
Luo Xue scratched her head, carefully recalling everything that had happened.
Wang Zhan squinted and chuckled. "Regardless of any potential benefits for you, I am indeed interested in seeing the place you mentioned. I just wonder, is it far from here?"
Many people were still on the island at this moment, so they naturally couldn’t venture too far. After all, if anything happened and Jiang Yin wasn’t with them, this group would find it very difficult to defend themselves. Plus, they were severely understaffed, and Wang Zhan was their core strength.
Luo Xue shook her head. "If Brother Wang takes me and we travel at full speed, I don’t think it will take us long to reach the area I mentioned. I was captured by those Priests not long after I arrived in that vicinity, so I remember the route clearly."
Wang Zhan considered it carefully. He glanced back at the group behind them, then pulled Luo Xue up and said, "In that case, let’s head over now following the route you described and check it out."
"But first, I need to explain things to everyone. Although this island seems relatively safe, the sea domain is fraught with risks. We don’t know what we might face next, so we must ensure all precautions are taken."
Luo Xue nodded firmly.
In a blink, Wang Zhan and Luo Xue had returned to the group.
Xiang Tian and Jiang Yin were nearby, meditating and recovering their strength. The people Han Junxiong had brought were stationed in the waters surrounding the island, ensuring its security.
Seeing Wang Zhan and Luo Xue approach, the young women’s eyes lit up, their gazes all fixed on Wang Zhan.
Noticing their stares, Wang Zhan felt a bit embarrassed. He promptly turned his head away, waving towards Han Junxiong who was not far off.
Han Junxiong quickly walked over to Wang Zhan’s side and asked with a smile, "Brother Wang, is there something you need?"
Wang Zhan nodded, pointing into the distance. "Luo Xue told me about a peculiar situation over there, so I need to accompany her to investigate. Since Xiang Tian and Jiang Yin are both recuperating, I won’t disturb them. It shouldn’t take us long to return. If they wake up and ask about me, just tell them what happened."
"But while I’m away, you must carefully monitor the surroundings. If any problems arise, contact Jiang Yin immediately. Only her intervention can ensure everyone’s safety."
Han Junxiong nodded fervently.
After all arrangements were made, Wang Zhan, without hesitation, grabbed Luo Xue’s arm, and they dashed off into the distance.
The young girls, still seated, watched Wang Zhan depart. They began to look utterly smitten, and soon, all of them were murmuring.
"This Mr. Wang is so handsome."
"If only we could stay by his side, that would be wonderful."
"Then we must find a way to become Mr. Wang’s women. Only then will he cherish us always, and we’ll have no worries."
For a moment, their minds were all filled with these hopeful fantasies.
After all, they knew Wang Zhan’s strength and had seen his character. He seemed completely uninterested in romance. Despite so many beautiful women present, he didn’t appear moved in the slightest. This was enough to prove Wang Zhan’s moral fiber was excellent. Yet, the more this was the case, the more captivated they became by him.
Meanwhile, Wang Zhan and Luo Xue had left the island they were just on. In the blink of an eye, they arrived in a new region.
Looking around, they saw numerous small islands. However, these islands had little vegetation, and a single glance revealed them to be dead places, devoid of any life.
But as soon as Wang Zhan entered this area, he felt an invisible intimidation, an extremely uncomfortable sensation.
Luo Xue, at his side, carefully examined the surroundings, then pointed to one of the small islands. "Brother Wang, this is the place I told you about. When I first came here, I had this feeling of being summoned by one of my own kind. Even I can’t quite describe it. Perhaps because my strength was too low, I couldn’t discern the truth of this place. Can you see if there’s anything unusual?"
Wang Zhan squinted, scanning the area, but he too found nothing out of the ordinary. Yet, he experienced the same sensation Luo Xue described. However, it wasn’t a familiar feeling of encountering his own kind; instead, it was an intense sense of dread. It felt as if some formidable entity lurked nearby, something that could even pose a threat to him, making him extremely uneasy. After all, with his strength, who could possibly contend with him?
The more it was like this, the more Wang Zhan felt something was wrong.
Wang Zhan narrowed his eyes, carefully examining the surroundings for a long moment before frowning. "There’s something peculiar about this area," he said. "We shouldn’t waste any more time here."
"I think you might have been hallucinating. There’s definitely nothing good here, so it’s best we leave now."
As he spoke, Wang Zhan grabbed Luo Xue’s arm, turned, and prepared to leave.
However, what Wang Zhan hadn’t expected was that just as they prepared to leave, the surrounding sea surface suddenly grew turbulent. Waves began to surge, and then they saw the small islands around them actually begin to sink. Wang Zhan swiftly pulled Luo Xue up and leaped, simultaneously summoning his Deep Fire Blade. He landed on the blade, hovering proudly as he surveyed the scene unfolding before him.
Luo Xue’s face also turned deathly pale. She quickly grabbed Wang Zhan’s shoulder and asked anxiously, "Brother Wang, what’s happening?"
Wang Zhan frowned slightly, his eyes narrowed as he observed for a good while before saying, "I’m not sure right now, but I can sense that we’ve likely disturbed some big guy, and it’s starting to stir."
The words had barely left his lips when a deafening roar sounded. A massive tsunami erupted from the sea’s surface. Wang Zhan quickly raised his hand, and an immense curtain of fire materialized before him, forming a barrier against the surging seawater.
Where the fire and water met, Heaven and Earth seemed to change color. A sound like crashing thunder reverberated across the entire sea. Luo Xue stood steadfastly behind Wang Zhan, her face a mask of terror, her heart pounding relentlessly.
After all, she had never witnessed such a spectacle.
Suddenly, a colossal demonic beast appeared on the sea’s surface. Or rather, it wasn’t quite a demonic beast, because Wang Zhan sensed a trace of Spiritual Energy emanating from this big guy.
With the big guy’s appearance, the sea surface churned violently.
Luo Xue’s pupils constricted, her grip on Wang Zhan’s arm tightening. She asked, her voice trembling, "Brother Wang, what is that thing?"
