Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence
Chapter 363 - 333: Domain Confrontation and Kado’s Powerful Flying Spear
By the time it realized what it was, the meteor-like black shadow had already crossed several hundred meters and arrived right before it.
The Black King’s massive pupils contracted. In that split second, its colossal body twisted to the side with an agility that completely defied its size.
"CLANG!"
A deafening clang of metal against metal echoed through the heavens.
The five-meter-long giant Javelin grazed past its ribs. The terrifying kinetic energy carried by the spearhead forcibly tore off a large, thick piece of its Black Iron Dragon Armor.
The washbasin-sized piece of Dragon Armor spiraled as it plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground and leaving a deep crater.
The Black King’s body faltered for a moment.
It looked down at the ground, a mixture of shock and rage in its eyes. ’That Giant... actually managed to injure me?’
This was no longer a provocation; it was a mortal threat!
"ROAR!"
The furious dragon’s roar materialized into a physical shockwave. The Black King held nothing back. The vast Magic Power stored within its body erupted like a volcano as it channeled all its strength into activating and expanding its Domain.
It attempted to completely suppress its opponent in the clash of Domains and seize the initiative in the war.
A deep, deathly still Domain Power, like an eternal night, burst forth from its body. It expanded in an instant, shrouding the sky for a kilometer in every direction.
Eternal Night Abyssal!
Within this Domain, light was devoured, the temperature plummeted, and even the air seemed to freeze. A despair and deathly silence that made one’s soul tremble began to spread.
Blazing Flames ignited in Sun’s golden eyes. It let out a piercing draconic cry, showing no sign of weakness.
It chose not to yield a single inch, facing the contest of Domains head-on.
An equally majestic Domain Power erupted from its body.
As if a real sun had descended upon this place, Sun pushed its Domain to the absolute limit, clashing with the Black Dragon’s Eternal Night Abyssal.
A scorching, brilliant, and domineering aura, filled with the explosive presence of both life and destruction, nearly filled the entire sky. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Solar Furnace!
One black, one gold—the two diametrically opposed Domains collided even more violently in the sky.
The aftershocks of the clashing Domains created a series of explosions in the air, as if the very atmosphere was being compressed to its breaking point.
Along their boundary, space twisted violently. On one side was a pitch-blackness where one couldn’t see their hand in front of their face; on the other, a daylight so bright it was impossible to look at directly.
Every collision unleashed a destructive storm of energy that tore through the clouds.
On the battlefield below, both the soldiers of Black Stone Territory and the Demons felt the terrifying pressure descending from the sky.
For Kado, however, none of this was his concern.
Seeing his attack had been effective, he grinned and pulled another Javelin from his back.
He wasn’t any good at arithmetic, but when it came to fighting, he had talent in spades.
"SWOOSH!"
Another Javelin turned into a meteor, piercing the sky.
The Black King, locked in its Domain struggle with Sun, was forced to divert some of its attention to deal with the harassment from below.
Its colossal body couldn’t make any large evasive maneuvers during the Domain clash, so it could only watch as the Javelin came whistling toward it once again.
"CLANG!"
Another piece of Dragon Armor was torn away.
"SWOOSH!"
"CLANG!"
Kado on the ground seemed to have transformed into a tireless war machine. Javelin after Javelin flew toward the Black King with lethal precision, like Life-taking Talismans from the god of death.
In the blink of an eye, the Black King’s once-majestic Black Iron Dragon Armor was torn to shreds. Shattered pieces of Armor rained down from the sky.
At one point, just as the Black King was distracted dodging another Javelin, Sun seized the opportunity. Its golden claws, wreathed in all-consuming Blazing Flame, slammed viciously into its chest.
"BOOM!"
The Black Dragon let out a pained grunt as a large patch of its Scale Armor was burned black and curled. It was sent flying back several dozen meters.
To make matters worse, while trying to stabilize itself from the impact, it failed to completely dodge Kado’s umpteenth Javelin.
"PFFT!"
The sharp spearhead tore through the relatively weaker Scale Armor on its tail, embedding itself deep inside and drawing a spray of scalding black Dragon Blood.
The intense pain made the Black King let out an agonized roar.
When had it ever fought such a frustrating battle?
One was wrestling with it in the sky, while another was using it for target practice from the ground!
In that brief moment its concentration wavered, a figure as swift as the wind cut in from high on the battlefield’s flank at an unbelievable angle.
It was Raylo!
He had been riding Storm Griffin King Baofeng, circling the edges of the two Giant Dragons’ clashing Domains for a long time, and he had finally found his chance.
Baofeng’s wings stirred up a violent airflow, its speed instantly accelerating to its absolute limit.
Raylo raised his Long Sword high. There was no dazzling light on the blade, only visible, translucent ripples continuously overlapping and converging.
"Broken Flow."
He swung his sword.
There was no earth-shattering sound, only a translucent ripple that silently detached from the blade. It crossed several hundred meters in an instant and precisely struck the Black King’s spine, which had been exposed and left unprotected by its Dragon Armor due to its injuries.
"PFFT!"
This time, there was no clang of metal.
Before that ripple, the Black King’s Dragon Scales, which were as tough as Refined Gold, were as fragile as paper.
A massive wound, over ten meters long, burst open on its back. Its tough dragonhide and muscle were cleanly severed, revealing the bone beneath. Black Dragon Blood gushed out like a bursting dam.
"ROAR!"
The unprecedented pain caused the Black King to let out a sky-shaking roar, its voice filled with shock and fury.
It whipped its head around, its blazing dragon eyes locking onto the figure who had immediately pulled back on his Griffin after the successful strike.
’It was that insignificant human!’
One heavy blow after another, a three-dimensional assault from the sky and the ground, made the Black King understand completely. The war it had orchestrated had ended in utter failure.
If it stayed here any longer, it might even risk being killed.
Its endless rage was finally suppressed by reason.
The Black King let out a roar filled with savage fury. This roar was not a Horn to attack, but an order to retreat.
Its colossal body shuddered violently. It recklessly broke free from Sun’s entangling Domain and, covered in wounds, turned tail to flee wretchedly toward the distant horizon.
Following its retreat, the surviving Bat Dragons and Wind Blade Griffins in the sky also hastily followed suit.
On the ground, the Demon army that had been attacking madly instantly lost its backbone. Like a receding tide, they let out chaotic, jarring shrieks and turned to flee for their lives.
Raylo, riding Baofeng, hovered high in the sky, looking down upon the collapsing battlefield below.
His gaze swept over the chaotic enemy forces, and he soon noticed a group of special spoils of war.
Among the fleeing Jackal-Wolf Folk and Kobolds, nearly thirty massive Earth Dragons were scurrying around the battlefield like headless chickens.
’These are high-quality mounts for heavy cavalry. It would be a real shame to let them get away.’
"Ed!"
Raylo issued his command.
"Here, my lord!"
Ed’s voice rang out from nearby.
"Don’t bother chasing the small fry; save your strength. Order the Griffin Knights and Pegasus Knights to form squads and bring those rampaging Earth Dragons under control! Be careful—use ropes and nets, don’t fight them head-on!"
"The Hill Giants should stop pursuing the enemy and go capture those scurrying Earth Dragons."
"Yes, my lord!"
Ed immediately accepted the order, and the aerial forces quickly changed formation.
The thirty Griffin Knights and over two hundred Pegasus Knights gave up the chase, diving down from the sky to begin herding and capturing the stray Earth Dragons.
Enormous nets fell from the sky, precisely enveloping one panicked Earth Dragon after another.
These ferocious Giant Beasts struggled wildly in the nets but were tightly bound by the tenacious ropes. The more they struggled, the tighter the ropes became.
The Hill Giants behind them strode forward, charging ahead with booming laughter.
Each of them took charge of one, easily pinning the netted Earth Dragons to the ground as if they were catching little chicks.
Then, thick ropes were expertly looped around their necks, with the other end tied to the Giants’ waists.
After a flurry of activity, a total of twenty-eight Earth Dragons were successfully captured.
These former enemies now unwillingly became the newest property of Black Stone Territory.
