The Vengeance Blade Blade is a team formed with adventurers as its core.

Perhaps the captain had other intentions when forming the team, and to some extent, the name "Vengeance Blade" reflects this.

But typically, they are not fundamentally different from the adventurer fleet in Suo Yu Bay: "accept commission - receive payment - rest - accept another commission", maintaining the entire team’s operations with task bounties.

Even though the members in the team are not considered bad people by Xia Nan, each with their own personality, their performance in the storm proved these teammates to be reliable in battle.

However, if one were to strictly classify them by alignment, the Vengeance Blade Blade team should fall between "Lawful Evil" and "Chaotic Neutral".

Driven by self-interest, they outwardly appear free but indeed practice their recognized principles in a team-based manner.

Lorin had seen too many Sha Hua Fishmen and was quite familiar with their habits, holding a negative attitude towards them; she had interacted with the villagers on Wild Rabbit Island before, and had some acquaintance with their village chief, though it was nothing close to friendship.

With this as a precondition, confronting the current situation where the Fishmen slaughtered an entire fishing village, Lorin clearly couldn’t rashly act out of the blue to avenge the villagers she barely knew, dragging herself and her teammates into danger, and her values shaped by prolonged seafaring did not align with human supremacists who see other species as enemies, getting angry whenever humans were killed by demons.

She was only considering the current situation from the perspective of herself, her teammates beside her, and even the entire fleet behind her.

First and foremost, of course, was the threat level of these Fishmen at present.

There were a total of thirty-six, most of which were ordinary Fishmen with a Challenge Level of "0.5", but the six Sha Hua Fishmen kneeling at the front of the altar each had two pairs of arms, were noticeably more robust, and even their equipment and armor didn’t look as crude, evidently all Elite Level entities, with an estimate Challenge Level reaching "Level 2", possibly even "Level 3" or higher.

Furthermore, the Sha Hua Fishman priest holding a strange sea conch could elevate their overall strength even further.

This was very delicate.

Although Lorin was a Level 7 professional, professional level and challenge level are completely different concepts. A well-maintained demon would require four professionals at the same level with reasonable roles and a certain degree of tacit understanding to safely resolve.

The entire thirty-six Fishmen might be within Lorin’s handling scope, but if considering the presence of spellcasters among them and their location near the ocean, the actual battle scenario becomes somewhat ambiguous again.

If it were during her younger years, she might have charged directly.

But now, there were more things she had to consider.

They had initially come to Wild Rabbit Island solely for ship repairs, and had no fundamental conflict with these Fishmen, so it seemed unnecessary to engage in battle with them.

However, ship repairs take a considerable amount of time, even if everything goes smoothly, they wouldn’t be able to depart before this evening at the earliest, and it was still morning, with a whole day ahead.

Sha Hua Fishmen were originally hostile towards humans, and these in front were extremely so, not even searching the village, leaving no survivors.

In such a case, who could guarantee that within this long period of time, these Sha Hua Fishmen wouldn’t discover the Vengeance Blade Blade docked less than thirty minutes away from the fishing village?

And if that time comes, the Fishmen wouldn’t be as inclined to battle on land as they are now; with the ocean as their home ground, the initiative would be entirely in the opposing hands.

With Lorin’s personality, she clearly wouldn’t let her team face potential danger due to a mere fluke.

With the overall enemy strength within her and her team’s capacity to handle, she decided to move proactively and nip the threat in the bud.

"I’ll stay here, Xia Nan, you take Hai Yin back first and call Sasha and the others over."

In Lorin’s view, the most prudent solution was of course to wait till all the professionals in the team were present, then launch a surprise attack on these Fishmen ahead.

Letting Xia Nan take the spellcaster Hai Yin to the dock to call for support, while she, as the captain, remained at the most dangerous spot to monitor the Fishmen below.

This approach of hers was indeed impeccable, even wise.

If placing Xia Nan in the other’s perspective, it’s unlikely they could think of a more appropriate solution, and as a temporary member, she had no intention of challenging the captain’s authority.

But now, with the experience on Cliff Island, Xia Nan had a different perspective.

"Captain, these Sha Hua Fishmen are probably conducting some sort of ritual, I’ve seen it before."

"The demons they summon are extremely troublesome, and the situation might change significantly from here to the dock."

Not that Xia Nan was overthinking, but the scene where the Shark Beast slaughtered the Silver Claw Fish Eagle Squad was still vivid, and even they barely managed to kill it.

With the spectacle these Fishman priests were setting, if they summoned a few Shark Beasts or even more powerful demons, the Vengeance Blade Blade Squad, even if fully assembled, might not be able to deal with it safely.

She had just joined the team not long ago and didn’t want it to end so quickly.
