Chapter 725
Hearing this, Silvon's expression abruptly changed. He questioned coldly, "Do you a favor?"
"Aaron Verdant, this is not the Great Verdant. This is the Far North Ice Field! This is a matter between our Ancient Clans. Are you truly going to interfere?!"
"Erm..." Aaron Verdant chuckled and mused for a moment.
"You are right. This is not the Great Verdant, but this Far North Ice Field doesn't belong to your Moonfall family either, does it?"
"There are only so many places suitable for human habitation in the Far North Ice Field. Your Ancient Clans have passed down their legacies for so many years, and your ancestors all had deep connections in the past. There's no need to fight to the bitter end over some minor conflicts."
"Besides, I seem to remember that your Ancient Clans signed a non-aggression pact a very long time ago."
"Why is your Moonfall Clan attempting to exterminate the Riverborn Clan? Isn't this somewhat inappropriate?" Aaron Verdant said calmly.
From start to finish, a gentle, peaceful smile hung on his face, making him seem very easy to get along with.
"We Ancient Clans did indeed sign some treaties, but heaven knows how long ago that was. Furthermore, treaties and whatnot are internal matters of our Ancient Clans."
"What does that have to do with you, an Imperial Teacher of the Great Verdant?" Silvon retorted.
"It had nothing to do with me before, but it does now."
"This Ethan is a friend of my Great Verdant's Eldest Princess and Eighth Prince. When a friend is in trouble, there is no reason to just stand by and watch them die," Aaron Verdant stated calmly, still reasoning with Silvon.
He had never liked bullying the weak with strength.
Compared to using force, he preferred to convince people with reason. Unless the other party refused to listen to advice.
"I imagine that among everyone gathered here watching, there should be people from the Ancient Clans, right? The Moonfall Clan is blatantly tearing up the non-aggression pact. Why isn't anyone coming out to stop them?"
"Since the Moonfall Clan dares to attack the Riverborn Clan, how can you be sure their next target won't be you?" Aaron Verdant asked.
His voice wasn't loud, but it carried an incredibly strong penetrating power, swirling through the night sky and falling into everyone's ears.
Not far away, Lucien was incomparably furious. For the first time in his life, he felt a sense of powerlessness.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit!"
"One of the Twin Pillars of the Great Verdant! Why would such an expert speak up for an unknown nobody like Ethan, and even offend my Moonfall Clan for his sake?!"
"Although your Great Verdant Lantern Empire is strong, my Moonfall Clan is no vegetarian either! What benefit is there in offending my Moonfall Clan?"
"Give me another twenty years, and I can step into the Emperor Realm, perhaps even attempt to reach the Great Emperor realm! When that time comes, our Moonfall Clan will be a clan with twin Emperors! What can the Great Verdant Empire do then?!"
Lucien clenched his fists, his face gloomy. He cast a vicious glare at Aaron Verdant before shifting his gaze to Liora.
"Liora, just you wait! I will definitely make you my woman!" Lucien vowed inwardly before his gaze landed on Ethan.
His face was full of malice, staring fixedly at Ethan, sharp gaze looking as if he wanted to eat him alive!
"This Aaron Verdant!" Silvon's expression shifted slightly upon hearing those words.
Truly worthy of being the Imperial Teacher of the Great Verdant. Skilled in schemes, strategy, and inciting the hearts of the people.
He was clearly manipulating the emotions of the other Ancient Clans, giving them the courage to unite and oppose the Moonfall Clan.
There were indeed quite a few people from other Ancient Clans nearby. But they had remained inactive out of fear of the Moonfall Clan's foundation.
After he, an Emperor Realm expert, appeared, the Ancient Clans that had originally harbored some thoughts basically lost all courage to intervene.
But now, things were different. Aaron Verdant had suddenly appeared, clearly intent on protecting Ethan.
With such an Emperor Realm expert backing him up, and the Imperial Teacher of the Great Verdant Empire at that, the Ancient Clans that had previously retreated would regain their courage.
They weren't fools. They knew that after the Moonfall Clan annexed the Riverborn Clan, they would be the next targets.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stop the Moonfall Clan from unifying the Far North Ice Field.
They would absolutely not let it slip by easily!
Just as Silvon was pondering, two figures flew up from below.
"Silvermere Clan Great Elder, Boren, greets Senior Aaron!" The Silvermere Clan Great Elder cupped his hands respectfully.
"There is no need for formalities."
Immediately after, several more figures flew up.
All members of the Ancient Clans who had just arrived.
Earlier, coerced by the pressure of an Emperor Realm expert, they hadn't dared to intervene. But now, with Aaron Verdant backing them up, they naturally wouldn't let this opportunity pass.
"Silvon, your Moonfall Clan has gone too far!"
"You completely disregarded the non-aggression pact from back then and carried out an act of extermination that angers both gods and men!"
"Today, our seven clans will definitely not allow you to continue your arrogance!" Boren reprimanded Silvon and the others with righteous indignation.
"Hmph! A bunch of rats! Now you dare come out and yelp?!"
"What bullshit pact?!"
"That was ages ago! Just because it was valid then doesn't mean it's valid now."
"The strong prey on the weak, the fit survive, and the unfit are eliminated!"
"You are all old monsters who have lived for hundreds of years. Don't tell me you don't even understand this basic logic!" Silvon sneered coldly.
He then turned to Aaron Verdant.
"Aaron Verdant, if it were anyone else, I might do them a favor."
"But my apologies, my Moonfall Clan is a tough bone to chew!"
"I won't give you this favor!"
"Today, my Moonfall Clan will take down the Riverborn Clan. What can you possibly do to me?!" Silvon questioned, followed by a cold sneer.
"We are both Emperor Realm experts. Do you think you alone can change the entire course of this battle?"
"I can't do much, just beat you into a pig's head at most," Aaron Verdant smiled, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Hehe. Shameless boasting!" Silvon snorted.
Aaron Verdant was indeed an Emperor Realm expert, and admittedly stronger than himself. But at their realm, trying to actually kill the other party was as difficult as ascending to the heavens.
