Arken Port City

I came to the lobby and checked out of the hotel. The staff gave me a refund after deducting some fees.

Then I left the hotel. I didn’t approach a cab driver this time. Instead, I started walking on foot to the central plaza.

The central plaza had some transport companies located in the same area.

20 minutes later,

I reached the spot. The plaza was still crowded. I walked through the crowd before finding the transport company.

The transport company was located behind the plaza. There was no movement here. I saw there were no guards at the gate.

It surprised me. Then I walked up to the gate. After checking with the system, I opened the gate and entered inside.

To my surprise, I saw a large vehicle parked outside the main building. The truck was loaded. I walked towards the truck. Currently, no one was standing near it.

My gaze fell on the building. Light was coming from the window. It showed someone was inside the office. Once again, I used the system power.

I didn’t know where the truck was going. Then my gaze fell on the goods. They were wooden boxes. The boxes had details on them. I used the system to probe them.

[Ding! Sealed ominous items were found.] 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I was stunned. Ominous items were not good. They were not used for any good methods.

Anyway, it didn’t matter to me. I cannot interfere in affairs unrelated to me. Then I saw other details.

The destination was mentioned on it. When I saw the location, I was stunned.

The location was the Black Monk City. I didn’t have to worry about the travel anymore. I didn’t have to take the risk of taming the Skycrock.

Then I made a decision. I climbed up and stood on the goods. I used the system to see if anyone was around me.

The system results came back negative. To be on the safe side, I removed a few wooden boxes and placed them in front of me. Then I landed in the gap.

No one could see me right now.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.

Meanwhile,

The truck driver and the helper came to the spot. They were stunned by the scene. They saw wooden boxes had been moved.

Both of them were shocked. Then they climbed up to check the items. They saw someone had taken out the wooden boxes. But they weren’t stolen.

They were just moved away. Seeing that, both of them were confused.

"Should we inform the higher-ups?" the helper asked.

"No, we are already running behind schedule," the driver said.

Hearing that, the helper shut his mouth. Then both of them quickly arranged the goods. They wanted to leave the place as soon as possible.

Otherwise, if someone from the office came out, it would end up being troublesome for them.

A few minutes later,

They arranged everything. Then they entered the truck. The driver started the truck, and the vehicle left the place.

It slowly rose into the mid-air. After attaining some height, the truck moved forward along with other flying vehicles.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I was standing in front of the control mirror. I saw the scene outside. The truck had left the company.

Now it was going to the destination. Then I exited the control room and entered the hall.

I came across the Zero Puppet.

"Zero, how long will it take to reach the Black Monk City by truck?" I asked the Zero Puppet.

"Master, it will take 2 weeks," the Zero Puppet replied.

Then I asked a few more questions to the Zero Puppet. After the discussion, I deactivated the Zero Puppet.

I could activate it after arriving at the Black Monk City. Then I went to bed to sleep.

Days passed,

The truck was going toward the destination. The vehicle stopped at checkpoints in between.

The driver and the helper were on high alert. They were already getting delayed. They didn’t want to be any later.

The truck crossed multiple cities.

A couple of days later,

The truck reached the Black Monk City. The truck then entered the city without any obstruction. They were carrying important goods.

They had an office branch here. Soon, the truck reached the office. The driver parked the truck in the big open space before the office building.

The driver told the helper to watch over the goods. The helper nodded. The driver then exited and went inside the office building to report.

It didn’t take long for a few people to come out of the office. They were going to take the stock and verify it.

Under the supervision of the staff, the driver began unloading the goods. All of them were counted. But they were not opened here.

Someone would collect the wooden goods soon. Even the company didn’t know about the contents.

If they knew the contents were terrifying, sealed goods, they would be shocked to the core.

When the goods were on the ground, the office staff went back inside the office building. The driver and the helper were standing outside.

They were protecting the goods.

Meanwhile,

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I was standing in front of the control mirror. I saw that the goods in the truck were gone.

Then, the next second, I appeared outside in silence. No one could sense my presence. I used the system to know what was going on.

The system results said that the driver and the helper were standing outside. I immediately used the flight ability to leave the truck.

When I reached the gate, I came across the guards. But they were sleeping. Taking the opportunity, I slipped away from the place.

I didn’t expect the journey to go so smoothly. Then I followed the street to find an inn. I saw one not long after. It was located right at the end of the street.

Seeing that, I immediately went inside and checked in. It was a medium-sized inn. I booked the room for two days before going upstairs.

The inn manager was surprised. He checked his database. He saw there was no one by the name of Frank.

The inn manager’s eyes flickered.
