Li Wei hovered in the sky, looking down at the Lava Serpent and Fire Elemental Elf that were watching him like predators.

His mind began racing, searching for a way to deal with them.

A direct confrontation was the worst possible strategy.

He could go all out and kill the Fire Elemental Elf once.

But he couldn’t afford to go all out every time he encountered a Fire Elemental Elf.

He didn’t have that much Mana.

Soon, Li Wei arrived at the optimal strategy.

Be submissive to the Fire Elemental Elf and Fire Element Magical Beasts, but strike hard against the other contestants.

Play to his strengths and avoid his weaknesses.

He would take full advantage of the volcanic environment.

Seeing Li Wei flee, the Lava Serpent and the Fire Elemental Elf immediately gave chase.

It slithered back to its original territory.

The Lava Serpent had just crawled into its cave to rest when a figure appeared outside.

A small Fireball shot into the lava cave.

With a BANG, molten lava splashed everywhere.

The Lava Serpent was startled and quickly slithered out of its cave, only to find Li Wei standing outside.

It was instantly consumed by rage. Flames of fury erupted all over its body, and without a moment’s hesitation, it lunged at Li Wei.

Li Wei shot straight into the sky like an arrow.

He didn’t forget to look back and taunt it.

"Come and get me, you little worm!"

Its reason burned away by fury, the Lava Serpent pursued him relentlessly.

Suddenly, Li Wei vanished in mid-air.

The Lava Serpent froze for a moment, looking left and right, and then spotted a figure.

Without hesitation, it pounced, spewing a mouthful of blazing fire.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

The scorching flames surged, engulfing Nick’s figure.

Nick fled in a sorry state.

"Damn it, where did this Tier Two Magical Beast come from?"

He quickly cast a spell to counterattack.

Tier One Water Magic!

"Water Surge!"

A jet of water shot out in a leaping arc and struck the Lava Serpent.

It doused the flames on the Lava Serpent’s body.

TSSSSSS!

The Water Element and Fire Element collided violently, making a sizzling sound.

A thick mist filled the air, only to be instantly evaporated by the terrifying heat.

The flames on the Lava Serpent’s body were extinguished for less than ten seconds before they flared up again.

A mere Tier One Water Magic spell couldn’t inflict much damage on it.

The Lava Serpent hated water. After being attacked, it bore a grudge against Nick.

The Lava Serpent’s tail swept out.

BANG!

The Water Wave Shield on Nick’s body flashed with blue light before he was sent flying.

In mid-air, Nick relied on his Extraordinary Trait, "Gathering Strength and Striking."

He instantly cast a Tier Two Water Magic spell.

"High-Pressure Water Cannon!"

BOOM!

The column of water from the High-Pressure Water Cannon hit the Lava Serpent, unleashing a powerful impact.

The Lava Serpent was instantly knocked away, flying several meters into the air.

BAM! GURGLE! GURGLE!

The Lava Serpent crashed heavily to the ground, the flames on its body extinguished.

It was soaked to the bone, and cracks appeared on its body.

It looked utterly miserable.

Even as a Tier Two Magical Beast, it was difficult to withstand the damage from a Tier Two Spell.

Especially a Water Magic spell, which was super effective against Fire Element Magical Beasts.

This was a double whammy of damage.

Nick had heavily wounded the Lava Serpent with a single move, but his expression was grim.

High-Pressure Water Cannon was his trump card.

He hadn’t expected to be forced to use it so early in the competition.

It would take a considerable amount of time to accumulate a new Tier Two Spell through his "Gathering Strength for the Attack" Extraordinary Trait.

At the very least, he had already used one of his trump cards for the time being.

And it couldn’t be replenished.

Seeing the heavily wounded Lava Serpent, Nick quickly pressed his advantage.

He had already used his trump card; he couldn’t just walk away empty-handed.

Tier One Water Magic!

A Water Bomb shot from Nick’s palm toward the Lava Serpent.

The Lava Serpent quickly twisted its body, trying to dodge.

However, under Nick’s control, the Water Bomb had already locked onto the Lava Serpent.

Even though the Lava Serpent tried every means to evade it, it couldn’t dodge a Water Bomb that could change direction.

BANG!

The Water Bomb hit the Lava Serpent and exploded violently.

But what erupted was a blue, watery light.

The exploding water droplets were incredibly powerful, piercing the surrounding ground and leaving behind dark holes.

The Lava Serpent shrieked, reared up violently, and then collapsed to the ground.

Its body was covered in wounds left by the Water Bomb’s explosion.

Nick walked toward the Lava Serpent, preparing to take its life and end the battle.

Suddenly, a Fireball appeared out of thin air.

The Fireball shot toward Nick.

A look of surprise appeared on Nick’s face; he seemed completely unprepared.

BANG!

A flash of blue light erupted from Nick’s body.

The Water Wave Shield, which had clearly been shattered earlier, reappeared.

Nick sneered, staring at Li Wei, who had just revealed himself.

"I was wondering why a Tier Two Magical Beast suddenly appeared. So you were the one who lured it here."

"Armored Man, I hear you’re quite formidable."

"But if you were really that strong, you wouldn’t need to resort to such despicable tactics."

"In my eyes, you’re nothing special!"

"Now, die!"

Nick suddenly attacked.

Tier Two Spell.

"Water Prison Skill!"

Pillars of water appeared around Li Wei, sealing him tightly within.

The water prison contracted rapidly, threatening to crush him completely.

Li Wei stood inside the water prison, not the least bit flustered.

He was a little surprised.

"You can instantly cast a Tier Two Spell?"

That was something even Li Wei couldn’t do.

Nick sneered, "It’s not too late to surrender."

"This is a Tier Two Spell. My Control Power isn’t that strong, so it would be bad if I accidentally hurt you."

Li Wei smiled. "Then I hope you can."

Nick’s heart skipped a beat. ’Something’s wrong!’

PFFFT!

The eight streams of water forming the prison contracted and touched Li Wei’s body.

Li Wei’s figure instantly shattered and vanished.

Nick was shocked.

’Damn it, I fell for it!’

’He knows Illusion Technique too!’

’He’s not a Fire Element Mage at all, he’s a Spiritual Mage!’

By the time Nick realized...

An orange-red Fireball was already hurtling toward his face.

The terrifying explosive force made the entire volcano tremble and shake.

The time of the volcanic eruption was pushed forward yet again.

The movement of the lava inside the volcano was chilling.

In the face of nature’s majesty, everyone would feel fear and awe.

The light from the Fireball’s explosion faded, and the dust settled.

Nick’s figure was revealed.

He stood in the center of the explosion crater with an ugly expression on his face.

The surrounding ground had sunk by more than a meter, leaving only the patch of land beneath his feet untouched.

He was standing on a stone pillar in the middle of the crater.

The Gemstone on Nick’s necklace had cracked, its power depleted.

He felt a profound sense of disbelief.

The Sheltering Gem Necklace could block a Tier Two Spell.

Yet it had been shattered by a single Fireball.

’Doesn’t that mean the Power of this Fireball has already surpassed the scope of a Tier Two Spell?’

This seriously violated Nick’s understanding of magic.

In his mind, the Fireball Skill was merely Tier One Magic.

And Tier One Magic should, by definition, be weaker than a Tier Two Spell.
