Gu Ze briefly told Li Wei what had just happened.

Li Wei feigned a look of sudden understanding.

He had overheard the discussion between Martin and the others.

He said deliberately, "What kind of Magic was that? It was terrifyingly powerful!"

Gu Ze shook his head and said, "I don’t know. Both Mage Martin and Magician Cosmos said they’ve never heard of such Magic."

"It’s either a new type of Magic the Armored Man created himself, or it’s a mutated form of Magic influenced by his Extraordinary Traits."

Li Wei put on a curious expression.

The group’s discussion yielded no results.

They searched the surrounding area for any clues left by the attacker and the Armored Man.

Finding nothing, they left.

It was already early morning, and everyone was exhausted.

They had to continue working overtime tomorrow and needed to get back to rest quickly.

However, after what had happened, many of them would probably be unable to sleep.

Li Wei followed the main group back to the camp.

The Magic Beasts had all been dealt with.

Those that weren’t dead had fled.

Even Tyr was dead.

Martin and Komas discussed what had just happened in private.

"Did you get a clear look at the attacker?" Martin asked.

Komas glanced at him. "There’s no one else here. Do you really not know who it was?"

Martin’s expression turned grave. "Tyr was the vice president of the Frozen Earth City Mage Association. I refuse to believe Frozen Earth City had nothing to do with this."

"He went so far as to interfere with the Divine Worship Ceremony. It’s highly likely that Frozen Earth City has already sided with the Macher Kingdom."

Komas remained calm. "Isn’t this what we expected?"

"Ever since the last war, the three cities of Frozen Earth City, Cold Moon City, and Beihuang City have broken ties with Maple City."

"If the Beixuan Kingdom is successfully established, those three cities will be left isolated and without support."

"The Divine Worship Ceremony is the Macher Kingdom’s last chance to stop Otz, and it’s also the last chance for the City Lords of those three cities."

"If Otz succeeds in founding his kingdom, they will only have two choices."

"Surrender or be destroyed."

Martin said, "From what I know, Otz seems to have already made a deal with the City Lord of Cold Moon City. Cold Moon City is willing to support his establishment of the Beixuan Kingdom."

Martin sighed, took out a Communication Crystal, and reported the night’s events to the City Lord’s Mansion.

Late at night, Otz received an urgent message.

He sat in his study in his sleepwear, listening to Martin’s report through the Communication Crystal.

"Alright, I understand."

"Focus on ensuring the altar’s safety."

Otz sat in his study, quietly watching the flickering candlelight before him.

Although the room had Magic Fluorite, he was still in the habit of lighting a candle.

Otz picked up a letter from a drawer.

He held it to the candle, watching as the paper slowly burned to ash.

This letter was originally intended for the City Lord of Frozen Earth City.

Now, it seemed, it was no longer necessary.

Tyr’s actions had made it clear: Frozen Earth City had officially declared war on Otz.

Early the next morning, Melvin awoke with a start to find it was already morning.

Seeing Li Wei, he quickly asked, "What happened to me?"

Li Wei said, "You overexerted your Spiritual Power last night and passed out."

"You need to be more careful. Don’t push yourself so hard. If something happens to you, who’s going to do this work?"

Melvin heard this and replied, "If I don’t push myself, I won’t be able to keep up with their pace."

Li Wei stood up and looked at him.

"You don’t need to worry about that, Master Roy."

"Can’t you tell what we’re doing?"

Li Wei stared into Roy’s eyes.

Roy met his gaze for a moment before he couldn’t help but look away.

"What are you trying to say?"

He had thought it over deeply last night and realized that there were indeed problems with his original plan.

But the plan was his. How could he just overturn his own plan based on the opinion of some upstart kid?

’This is about my dignity.’

’Even if it means sticking with a mistake, I can’t let some no-name Array Master walk all over me.’

Still, Roy was a little worried.

Li Wei looked up and saw several Mages being led away.

The matter of the Magic Puppets and Surveillance Demon Eyes failing last night had been investigated.

It was confirmed that someone had tampered with them behind the scenes.

Some of the culprits had been rooted out.

The few being taken away were the traitors who had been discovered.

Li Wei had been with Melvin the whole time and hadn’t had a chance to look for the traitors.

Even so, he had been keeping an eye on those nearby.

His Shadow Attendant and Illusory Body helped him gather intelligence.

He didn’t need to go around asking questions.

「3:30 in the afternoon.」

All the Magic Arrays were inscribed.

Melvin lifted his aching arm and smiled.

"It’s finally done. That was the last one."

"You’ve worked hard. Leave the rest to me."

Li Wei stepped forward, poured his Mana into the Magic Array, and activated it.

Martin and Komas appeared on the altar.

He directed everyone to stand at their respective core node positions.

They began to link all the Magic Arrays.

The Tier One Magic Arrays were all linked successfully.

The second section of Magic Arrays was linked successfully.

But they couldn’t connect to the Tier One Magic Arrays.

Seeing this, Roy’s expression changed slightly, turning ugly.

Melvin stepped forward just in time, working with Li Wei to control the Energy Conduction Magic Array at the junction.

They successfully connected the Magic Arrays of the first and second sections of the altar.

Everyone couldn’t help but look at them in a new light.
