Li Wei felt a little awkward. He hadn’t realized Victor knew everything.

"The method was to have Nitro leave its original world and consume Purple Star Stones, which are imbued with radiation from the Star Realm, here on the Prime Material Interface. By using Nitro’s own powerful adaptive abilities, it could eliminate the Star Realm radiation attached to the Purple Star Stones, yielding pure Purple Crystal Source."

"Mage Li Wei, the Purple Crystal Source is in your hands, isn’t it?"

Victor said, staring at Li Wei.

Li Wei flatly denied it. "Purple Crystal Source? What’s that? I have no idea."

"Nitro died in a Forbidden Curse. That has nothing to do with me."

"For all we know, the Purple Crystal Source you’re talking about was destroyed by the Forbidden Curse’s power long ago."

Victor stared at Li Wei for a moment, then chuckled. "What Mage Li Wei says is certainly a possibility."

Li Wei asked, somewhat puzzled, "If Nitro was your test subject, why would you risk holding the exchange tournament on that island?"

Victor replied, "Nitro needed external stimuli to digest the energy of the Purple Star Stones to the greatest extent."

Li Wei understood. They had used the contestants as catalysts.

He suddenly thought of the Magic Forbidden Curse Fragment hidden inside the stone bridge.

A stunning possibility occurred to him.

Victor threatened.

Li Wei had a sudden realization. So everything Victor had said before was just to set the stage for this moment.

Victor looked at Li Wei, surprised and confused.

Suddenly, he realized.

His expression changed as he stared at Li Wei. "The Magic Forbidden Curse Fragment?"

Li Wei smiled. With a flick of his right hand, the Magic Forbidden Curse Fragment appeared.

"Correct, but unfortunately, there’s no prize."

He glanced around and asked, "Guess what would happen if a Forbidden Curse were to go off in here?"

Victor’s face turned incredibly grim.

It reappeared in his own hand.

A smile spread across Victor’s face. "Heh, you didn’t really think you could threaten me with this, did you?"

But it wasn’t as if he was completely helpless against it.

He flipped his hands over and crossed them in front of his chest, both hands now full of Magic Forbidden Curse Fragments.

The smile on Victor’s face froze.

He squeezed his hand, and the Magic Forbidden Curse Fragment in his grasp shattered, dissolving into specks of magical light that faded into the air.
