Grinding to the Martial Sage from the White Ape Fist
Chapter 122: Killed in 3 Punches
Song Qingya’s arrogant and domineering voice rang out, and the arena fell silent.
After a long pause, someone whispered, "Su Yu killed Sun Shi from the Iron Armor Martial Arts Hall. This is their revenge!"
"Su Yu’s in trouble. Song Qingya is a top-tier expert at the First Acupoint. It’s obvious he’s here to put him in his place!"
"The Yang Family is probably unlucky too, getting dragged into this by Su Yu. Otherwise, the Qian Family could never have hired an expert of Song Qingya’s caliber."
The murmurs of the crowd made the expression on Yang Chongren’s face grow even darker.
He finally understood. The Qian Family scheming against the Yang Family, the Iron Armor Martial Arts Hall targeting Su Yu... it was all part of an elaborate plot.
"Nephew Su, are you still going to go up there?" Yang Chongren asked bleakly, even though he knew if Su Yu took the stage now, Song Qingya would almost certainly use the opportunity to exact his revenge.
But having the Yang Family concede like this was as good as killing him!
He asked the question, still holding onto a sliver of hope. Even watching Su Yu fall in defeat would be better than conceding right now.
The sisters, Yang Zhen and Yang Ai, their pretty faces etched with worry, came to flank Su Yu.
Yang Zhen bit her lip and whispered, "Brother Su, you’re just a Tributor for the Yang Family. The family has no right to ask you to fight. You should just forfeit!"
Hearing his daughter’s words, Yang Chongren shuddered, and the light in his eyes faded completely. He had expected his daughters to try and persuade Su Yu to fight.
’But then again,’ he thought, ’she’s right. How could I ask the man to go to his death?’ 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"So be it... so be it..." He let out a long sigh and closed his eyes in bitterness. "This is fate."
’I was outmaneuvered by Qian Mushi. I have no one to blame but myself.’
"COUGH, COUGH..."
Just then, a violent coughing fit erupted nearby.
Wang Nianshen clutched his collapsed chest, struggling to sit up with the help of others. He looked at Su Yu, his eyes filled with anxiety.
’The Iron Armor Martial Arts Hall is notoriously cold-blooded; they don’t treat ordinary people like us as human. Su Yu, on the other hand, is a genius, yet he never looked down on me. He showed me respect.’
He gritted his teeth, came over, and whispered urgently, "Take my advice, don’t go up there! Song Qingya... he’s already opened the Front Mirror Acupoint! The defense on his chest is incredibly strong; ordinary blades can barely scratch it. You won’t be able to break through his guard head-on. Going up there is suicide!"
Across the stage, Liu Hao saw Wang Nianshen still running his mouth and his eyes turned cold. "Wang Nianshen, you traitorous dog! Looks like that last punch was too light!"
Just then, the referee, Lu Ping, urged them, "Yang Family, are you going to fight or not?"
Yang Chongren heaved another deep sigh. In that instant, all the fight seemed to drain out of him, and he opened his mouth to concede.
However, in the next moment, Su Yu calmly strode forward.
"Su Yu, Tributor of the Yang Family. I await your instruction."
Su Yu’s voice wasn’t loud, but it carried clearly throughout the arena.
For a moment, the crowd was stunned into silence, before erupting into a clamor of discussion.
"He’s insane! He’s actually going up there!"
"Does he have a death wish? He knows the danger, yet he walks right into it!"
"Is this the arrogance of a genius? What a shame. The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long. If we don’t see a prodigy fall today, we’ll at least see one crippled!"
"HAHAHA! Su Yu, I didn’t think you’d actually have the guts to come up here! Good! I’ll kill you with my own two hands!" Song Qingya roared with laughter and immediately fell into a fighting stance.
The referee, Lu Ping, shook his head. He knew of this Su Yu, a squad leader in the Golden Scale Law Enforcement Team. ’We’re technically colleagues,’ he thought. ’I didn’t expect him to be so foolish.’
"Let the match begin!"
The moment Referee Lu Ping’s shout faded, Song Qingya let out a vicious sneer as the flagstones beneath his feet cracked and shattered.
"Gold-Breaking Fist!"
He didn’t bother with any probing attacks. Like a savage bull clad in iron, he crossed the ten-meter distance in an instant. His right arm, gleaming with a dark, metallic luster, whistled through the air with a low sonic boom as it shot straight for Su Yu’s head.
There were no frills to this punch—only pure power and a hardness capable of shattering stone monuments.
He planned to use this absolute disparity in strength to crush Su Yu’s skull in a single blow, as easily as squashing an ant!
From below the stage, Yang Zhen cried out in alarm, "Brother Su, look out!"
Yet, facing this terrifying strike, Su Yu didn’t retreat. Instead, he advanced, a brilliant light flaring in his eyes.
"White Ape Asks the Way!"
He didn’t draw his Mo Yuan Saber. Instead, he too balled his hand into a fist and met the attack head-on!
’I don’t need the Spiritual Ape Demon-Slaying Saber to deal with Song Qingya. I’m going to beat him to death with the White Ape Fist!’
"BAM!!!"
The two iron-like fists slammed into each other in mid-air.
A sickening thud resounded as a visible shockwave radiated out from the two combatants, kicking up a swirling cloud of dust.
The vicious smile on Song Qingya’s face instantly froze.
He felt as if his fist had just struck a towering iron mountain. A rebound force, in no way weaker than his own, surged back up his arm, sending a dull ache through his shoulder blade.
"How is that possible? Your Qi and Blood is just as strong as mine?"
His pupils trembled in shock. ’I’m at the Perfection stage of the First Acupoint! I’ve been cultivating at this level for years! How long has it been since this Su Yu even made his breakthrough?’
"Thunderous Shock Step!"
Seizing the moment of his opponent’s shock, Su Yu immediately counter-attacked. He stomped down, pouring Qi and Blood into his Yongquan Acupoints as his great tendons sang like taut bowstrings.
"BOOM!"
A deep crater blasted into the ground, and in that same instant, his speed surpassed the limits of the naked eye. Song Qingya’s vision blurred, and the black-clad figure moved like a phantom, circling around to his blind spot on the right.
’Not good!’ Song Qingya’s face paled. It was too late to defend.
A cold glint flashed in Su Yu’s eyes as his White Ape Fist transformed into a vicious, cunning strike—Ape Steals the Peach!
"WHAM!"
The punch landed squarely on the small of Song Qingya’s back. Even with the protection of his Iron Armor Skill, the force of the prepared strike sent a tremor through his entire body, and the intense pain caused him to let out a beastly roar.
"AGH! DIE!"
Driven by the intense pain, Song Qingya’s savage nature flared. Instead of creating distance, he ignored the injury to his back and used his turning momentum to swing his left arm like an iron whip, lashing it viciously toward Su Yu’s exposed chest.
This was a tactic meant to injure them both! He was betting that Su Yu’s defense was weaker than his own!
But Su Yu neither dodged nor evaded. The Black Stone Body Forging Skill within him circulated wildly, and a profound black light shone from beneath his skin!
"THUD!"
Song Qingya’s arm struck Su Yu’s chest with the muffled thud of a fist hitting tanned leather.
The expected sound of breaking bones never came. Instead, an unbelievably powerful rebound force erupted from Su Yu’s chest, sending a numbing shock up Song Qingya’s left arm and splitting the webbing between his thumb and forefinger!
"What? The Front Mirror! You’ve opened the Front Mirror Acupoint too!"
At this moment, a look of utter terror finally appeared on Song Qingya’s face.
’How is that possible? The Martial Examination ended not long ago. How could he have already opened the Front Mirror Acupoint!’
’And he’s mastered a Body Refining Technique as well! A defense this powerful could only be the Black Stone Body Forging Skill!’
’That’s a Body Forging Skill far more powerful than the Iron Armor Skill!’
"You’re figuring it out now? Too late!"
As Song Qingya’s focus wavered, Su Yu struck again with another vicious blow.
"Ban Lan Chui!"
He surged forward, his fists smashing down like twin sledgehammers.
"BAM!"
The blow instantly bent Song Qingya’s body double, like a cooked shrimp. He spat out a mouthful of blood, severely wounded.
Immediately after, Su Yu unleashed a flurry of fists like a raging tempest.
"BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!"
In that moment, Su Yu was like a furious white ape, a savage aura erupting from within him. Every punch was filled with raw, primal violence!
Song Qingya, like a human punching bag, was instantly pummeled by dozens of blows. His bones cracked and tendons snapped as he coughed up blood continuously.
"No... I don’t believe this..."
Song Qingya’s eyes were blood-red as he tried to make one last, desperate struggle.
"Three punches! And I’ll send you on your way!"
Killing intent exploded from Su Yu’s eyes. With a thunderous shout, all the Qi and Blood in his body surged like a reversed river, converging into his right arm.
"Tongbei Mountain Splitting!"
"CRACK!"
Su Yu’s first punch shattered Song Qingya’s desperate, all-or-nothing block, brutally breaking both of his arms.
The second punch slammed heavily into his chest, right over the Danzhong Acupoint, shattering his Front Mirror defense, which was already on the verge of collapse as his Qi and Blood wavered.
"SPURT!" Song Qingya’s chest caved in as he sprayed a torrent of blood.
"The final punch! Ban Lan Chui!"
Su Yu leaped high into the air, his fist plummeting like a sledgehammer and smashing down viciously onto Song Qingya’s already mangled chest!
"BOOOM---!!!"
Song Qingya’s body slammed into the stage, and the flagstones beneath him instantly shattered. Shards of rock flew through the air, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.
When the dust settled, Su Yu stood there, proud and unmoving. At his feet lay Song Qingya—the man who moments before had boasted of crippling him. His chest was completely caved in, his eyes bulged from their sockets, and he was no longer breathing.
