One would have thought Kailen would attack the moment the creature fell asleep. However, he didn’t. He wanted the creature to be deeply asleep before he struck. Usually, when dragons fell asleep, it would take about a month before they would be deeply asleep.

Another month passed by in a flash. Kailen finally decided it was time to make a move.

"Time to strike."

Kailen appeared where the water dragon was sleeping. He activated the Principle of Space. As expected, the dragon did not wake up. Kailen didn’t waste any time on flashy moves. The space melded and twisted around the dragon. The space around the creature folded inwards and crushed its bones, organs, cells. It was as if Kailen was using the space around the dragon to fold it like a hand folds a piece of paper.

All this while, the creature didn’t wake up.

"The saying I learned in one simulation when I was in the light universe is really true. Dragons are like dead creatures when they fall asleep."

After all, what Kailen was doing right now was bound to wake the creature up had it not been a dragon. Kailen finally ended the process. The dead dragon looked like some sort of large puddle of blood at the moment. The force from the spatial compression had crushed every part of its being into liquid.

However, a large shiny ethereal-looking orb appeared. It hovered quietly above the rock and the puddle of blood. This was the Space Principle fragment the dragon had naturally released after it died.

Kailen moved close to it. He tried touching the principle fragment, even moving it from where it was, but it didn’t move. He tried applying a bit of force to make it move. It budged a little, but it started to glow more ethereal as if it was fading out of existence. Kailen left it be. It resumed its former ethereal nature and remained at its original position.

"So this is what the Will of the Universe was talking about. The moment I tried to move it, it started to disappear. Even though it didn’t move from its position and just budged a little bit out of place, it was starting to disappear," Kailen thought.

He floated calmly right where the fragment was. He sat in the air in a lotus position. He sat in a way that the Space Principle fragment was currently floating before him and he was floating right behind it.

"Activate the Principle of Space. Use it to form a connection to the Space Principle fragment," the Will of the Universe directed him.

Kailen nodded. He did as he was told. He felt a connection to the hovering Space Principle fragment after activating the law of space and directing it to the principle fragment.

Kailen felt the Space Principle fragment was whispering some sort of profound truth about the Principle of Space to him. Very soon, the so-called ethereal whispers of the principle fragment of space became clearer to him. As this was happening, the principle fragment was becoming more ethereal, as if with each whisper, it was disappearing.

The more of the Space Principle Kailen was comprehending from his connection to the Space Principle fragment, the more it showed signs of weathering away. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

A year passed by in the blink of an eye. Kailen didn’t even know some time had passed.

At this moment, Kailen opened his eyes. The principle fragment was gone. He had comprehended the profundities of the principle of space in the principle fragment, so it had weathered away. Kailen felt although he was still a rank 1 novice-stage Transcendent, he could defeat several rank 1 novice-stage chaotic beasts in a head-on clash now. He had a deeper comprehension of the Principle of Space now.

"It’s been one year, huh. That’s quite fast for principle comprehension speed, even for someone with a high principle comprehension speed.

As expected of the Will of the Universe. Her enhancement of my principle comprehension speed when I became a transcendent was definitely bound to be abnormal," Kailen thought. "Seriously, it seems I should be hunting more chaotic beasts with space principles. The guild missions can wait for now.

Also, I can complete the guild missions faster if I get stronger. The next guild mission I choose should be one that will land me on the first place of the premium ranking list directly. That will mean I need more strength to execute it."

As he was in thought, a glint flashed through his eyes.

"You can stop hiding and come out."

The moment Kailen spoke, one individual materialized before him.

"No need to hide anymore, boys," the Giant who had just appeared spoke. "Looks like he noticed us the moment we got here."

Another two appeared after he spoke. One was an elf and the other was a human. Kailen noticed their facial expressions. He studied them subtly to read their thoughts.

"The money from those CrimsonFang bastards better be worth it. This guy looks a bit dangerous," the Giant thought.

"Assassins, huh. Sent by the CrimsonFang Guild in the Windermere district, huh," Kailen made a mental note. A glint flashed through his eyes. He always repaid due debts in time. He did not speak a word.

"Leave him to me, boys. He’s too dangerous. You guys will get in the way," the Giant spoke.

His colleagues nodded and disappeared the moment he spoke, leaving the waterfall region now turned into a battlefield for him and their target. The giant moved. A large staff created from lightning appeared before him. The place glittered with the blue sparks from the lightning. The lightning staff tore through the air, causing gales of wind to whip across. Water splashed and rose everywhere.

Kailen waved his hand. Several space tears appeared before him. The space tears joined together like ropes. Eventually, the space tears transformed into an extremely large ethereal bell. The ethereal bell shot towards the approaching lightning staff. In a moment, the ethereal space bell and the lightning staff met.
