He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact
Chapter 719. Chaotic Beast Tide 5
The battle with the beast horde continued. At the moment, the transcendents were succeeding in pushing the beast horde back. Also, due to the efforts of the light transcendents—healing wounded transcendents from principle attacks they bore from the chaotic beasts—they returned to battle and the tides were shifting to the side of the transcendents.
Some transcendents could naturally not be healed as enemy attacks erased some of them from existence and turned others into puddles of blood. The transcendents also showed the chaotic beasts terror.
At this moment, a very heavy threat descended on the battlefield. Everyone stared towards a particular direction: the deeper part of the western mountain range. That was where it was coming from.
Suddenly, a very colossal figure emerged. Each step it took turned several hills and mountains into ice. It was very tall and had snow-white skin and fur. It was a colossal polar bear walking on two limbs. An intelligent glint flashed through its eyes, a testament that it had more sentience than the chaotic beasts everyone had been dealing with so far.
On noticing the presence of the creature, the chaotic beasts could not help but be suddenly energized. It was as if they had gained some sort of morale. They attacked the transcendents more brutally; they seemed to be more frenzied. It was like how soldiers felt when their situation was hopeless and a very strong general that could tip the scales on their behalf appeared.
Several transcendents gritted their teeth, engaged in brutal principle battles with the chaotic beasts.
Another creature rose. Initially, it was as if a mountain was rising. However, on a closer look, one could see some sort of shell. Some sort of streamlined neck and large, marble-like eyes glowing with intelligence emerged from beneath the shell. The creature made a weird noise as it stood on two limbs and crossed several distances like breathing air with slow, deliberate steps. It was a giant tortoise. Several streams of water were circling around it.
Several on the battlefield knew they could be erased from existence effortlessly by the two colossal beasts. They were reminded once again that they were small fish in a big ocean. Guild Leader Dawnseer and the leaders of the other organizations in the Castellan District knew their time to get involved had come. These two Rank 4 novice-stage chaotic beasts were the ones controlling the horde.
They gave each other knowing glances and shot towards the two colossal monstrosities.
"Juniors, once we deal with the two leaders directing the horde, the horde will lose coordination and scatter," Alaric, the leader of the district’s Law Enforcement Agency, announced to the juniors dealing with the small fry. "Their primal survival instincts will kick in, and they will retreat to the mountain range."
Alaric had said this to increase the morale of the transcendents. It was also to remind them that the beast tide had entered its crucial and final stage. Several stared at the ranking systems their organizations had put in place for the beast tide. They knew they had little time to push themselves up the rankings. Their resolve hardened, and they delved into more dangerous battles.
Several observed from across the districts of Richtchard City as Alaric, Dawnseer, and the other higher-ups of the Castellan District shot towards the colossal tortoise and the polar bear.
Someone waved their hand. Flames howled, turning into a very large gourd. The gourd made of flames shot towards the large polar bear. Another’s eyes blazed with lightning. A very large lightning arrow flickered to life, causing azure light to stretch across the skies. The lightning arrow shot towards the large polar bear.
Several of the Rank 4 novice-stage transcendents shot principle attacks towards the polar bear. The polar bear simply lifted one paw. One could even see a hint of mockery in its intelligent eyes as the attacks were headed towards it. The polar bear performed a diagonal slash with the paw. Arcs of ice blades shot out of the paw towards the attacks. The arc of ice blades and the attacks collided.
The arc of ice blades sliced through the principle attacks of the transcendents like slicing through butter. The ice blades continued heading towards them. Each one of the transcendents managed to evade the attacks. However, they all revealed a glint of seriousness and wariness in their eyes. It seemed they had to go all out.
Dawnseer was part of the transcendents fighting the polar bear. A glint of seriousness flashed through her eyes. Several torrents of torrential fields appeared around her. The torrential fields seemed to make the atmosphere very heavy. The fields were gravitational fields. The fields transformed into a large blanket hovering across the sky. The blanket shot towards the polar bear.
A glint of seriousness flashed through the eyes of the polar bear. The attack headed its way was troublesome. The blanket appeared close to the polar bear and hovered above it. The polar bear felt its movements completely restricted. The atmosphere was very heavy.
Dawnseer sent thought transmissions to the others. "Its movements are now restricted. Attack it with everything you have."
The others nodded and struck the creature with everything they had. As for the tortoise, Alaric and several others were also dealing with it. Alaric and company were trading principle attacks with it. The tortoise shot several streams of water towards its enemies. Alaric and others also struck it with everything they had.

Kailen kept slaughtering the Rank 1 novice-stage chaotic beasts. Wherever his gaze settled, a creature fell. Then, Kailen’s attention was drawn to a creature weaving massive destruction.
The creature was very tiny. It looked like a tiny mouse. Its eyes revealed a void-like glint. It had the Principle of Space. It would wave its hand, creating space slashes everywhere that hollowed several parts of several transcendents’ bodies from one another.
Kailen knew this creature was the most terrifying Rank 1 novice-stage chaotic beast he had come across. This meant if he killed it, the contribution points he would earn would be staggering. Also, the space principle fragment the creature would leave behind after he killed it would be very beneficial to him.
The mouse-like creature slashed towards Kailen’s direction.
