Several individuals could be seen sighing with relief in their eyes. These individuals were naturally CrimsonFang and company. Fortunately, they had managed to flee the city. It seemed Kailen Darkhaven decided to spare them.

A glint of cruelty flashed through CrimsonFang’s eyes. He knew he was currently weak. There was no way he would be able to have revenge now. Even in the future, he deemed it something almost impossible. However, if an opportunity was to present itself for him to ever have revenge on Kailen Darkhaven, he would not hesitate.

He had accepted his loss. He had accepted his humiliation. In the universe, the strong were right.

The weak were wrong. But that didn’t mean abandoning the guild he had painstakingly built with effort all this while, because he wanted to escape from Kailen Darkhaven out of fear that Kailen would change his mind concerning sparing him, did not bother him.

"Boss, where next?" one of the guild higher-ups said.

"We should head to Elarith City to start over," he said.

The group nodded and bolted off. At this moment, several figures materialized before them. Who were these people? When they saw the person leading them, their hopes crushed into despair.

"That look in your eyes earlier. You were still thinking of an opportunity for revenge, weren’t you? I can’t believe someone like you managed to survive all this while. People like you are supposed to die in the universe faster than everyone," an enchanting-looking female said. "There are people you should never offend. It’s a relief Sir Darkhaven made a decision to have you eliminated, else you would have become very troublesome in the future."

After these words, CrimsonFang and company shook their heads in despair. CrimsonFang laughed. Of course, why would Darkhaven spare him? He had been playing with him.

This fellow had given him false hope, only to crush him at the last moment. Kailen Darkhaven had been toying with him.

As for resisting, forget it. These fellows were too powerful for them to handle. The bewitching female leader was the leader of the personal guards of the mayor. She was a Rank 5 novice-stage transcendent just like the mayor. She had served the mayor for thousands of years. Some even speculated she was his lover.

To think she would personally be sent here by the mayor, alongside other elites of the mayor, to deal with them. This showed how important Kailen Darkhaven was to the mayor.

She simply waved her hand. A large claw made purely of darkness formed. The large claw shot towards CrimsonFang at unimaginable speed. He saw the attack approaching, but he felt like an ant before it. He could only helplessly watch as the claw tore through him.

"Deal with the others," the woman ordered.

Her troupe nodded on her orders. They vanished. Principle attacks flared to life. When they reappeared, only the corpses of CrimsonFang and certain others remained.

"What do we do with the corpses, ma’am?" one of the subordinates added.

"According to the words of the Marquis, Mr. Darkhaven wants some pictures taken and news of their death to be spread through the Skynet Intelligence Syndicate. So take their pictures and send them to Mr. Darkhaven."

The subordinates nodded. They did as they were told.

"Seriously, what a terrifying man. Having him as an enemy will be very chilling," the woman sighed and disappeared alongside her men, leaving the corpses of CrimsonFang and several others in the mountain range.

The news of CrimsonFang’s death was released by one of the most trusted intelligence organizations in Richtchard City lately, the Skynet Intelligence Organisation. There were pictures of their corpses and all that, in the mountain range between Elarith City and Richtchard City.

Several were wondering why they had died. Certain rumors had also started circulating from who knows where. The sources of the rumors could not be confirmed, but people sometimes believed rumors more than anything. The rumors were that CrimsonFang had attempted to kill Kailen Darkhaven several times a while back.

This was all. But that was all people needed to draw conclusions. So Kailen Darkhaven had probably made use of the Mayor’s resources to end them. After all, it was well known in the city by now that he was someone favored by the mayor. What a terrifying person. Many leaned towards this conclusion. However, there was no obvious proof that he was behind it. Many believed it anyway, making mental notes to not offend him anymore. Someone with the backing of the mayor was not worth offending.

That same night, the CrimsonFang Guild was disbanded and merged into the Dawnseer Guild. Many sighed with shock. Everyone in the city was a transcendent. They had experienced a lot on their cultivation journey. They could naturally connect the dots. This Kailen Darkhaven was definitely at the center of this occurrence too. It seemed he had really become a terrifying existence in the city after only arriving here just some years ago.

Another news rocked the city. Only three guilds would be participating in the interdistrict competitions of the city for the NGU competitions. The Moment Guild had decided to sit out the competition. It was understandable, many thought. The blow they had received for the death of Moment would take them a while to get back on their feet. Also, the CrimsonFang Guild no longer existed, having merged into the Dawnseer Guild.

There were only three guilds who would be participating now: the Flysparrow Guild of the Valemond District, the Arroeseek Guild of the Coldridge District, and the Dawnseer Guild of the Castellan District. Everyone was looking forward to the competition in anticipation. The geniuses of these guilds were determined to shine. They had to win at all costs and advance to the next level of the competitions.

"You’ve really caused an uproar," Dawnseer said as she stared at Kailen. "This fellow’s methods are really terrifying. He was always one step ahead. His methods are quite unconventional..."

Kailen smiled. "Just did what needed to be done."

Dawnseer said, "Well, what you did gave me the opportunity to swallow the CrimsonFang Guild, so in a way, thank you."

Kailen nodded warmly.

"The competitions will be starting tomorrow. You guys should probably head back to the guild to prepare, right?" Dexter said as he yawned and entered the living room.

"I suppose so."

"Yeah."

"Alright."
