Also, the members of the Insidious Assassin Syndicate, spread across the representatives of the guilds in the competition, were also hunting for this same fellow, Kailen Darkhaven—currently ranked 100—and one other person, Julian Sier—currently ranked 105—a white-haired vampire using the principle of darkness to conceal himself and killing others gruesomely, alongside hunting chaotic beasts. Everyone saw everyone as a threat in this competition; however, these two, especially Kailen Darkhaven, were quite special. It was safe to say that almost everyone on the island wanted him dead.

At this moment, the subject of discussion, Kailen Darkhaven, was currently moving across a volcanic mountain with swift speed. He had been melding with the void and reappearing. This had helped him to shorten the distance it would take to arrive at this location.

In the Insidious Assassin Syndicate, Insidious was calm, alongside the other higher-ups. It was only a matter of time before this nuisance died. They didn’t doubt the ability of Jiang Chuxian and the other syndicate members to kill him. Not only that, he had made his situation worse by offending almost every participant in the competition. This fellow had made their work easier.

Dawnseer, Dexter, Skynet, and several others from Richtchard City were watching everything with curiosity. What was Kailen up to? Why had he gone out of his way to offend everyone? As for Julian, they were equally impressed at his assassination skills. They initially thought he would operate openly, but he had been hiding in the shadows, killing people like a grim reaper. He had even killed a couple of Insidious Assassin Syndicate members sent after him.

Currently, Kailen was a few kilometers away from the volcanic mountain. A glint flashed through his eyes.

"One thing to never attempt with a wyvern: never steal its egg," Kailen thought. Apart from his experience with Vengeful several years back when he was on Earth, his experiences in the pocket world in the past—when he used to use it to train in the light region of the universe—had taught him this. Of course, this was just what he was here to do. He was here to steal not just an egg, but the eggs of a wyvern. He knew how risky this plan was, but he still went ahead with it.

Kailen finally arrived at the top of the volcanic mountain. Droves of smoke and lava spewed out of the mountain. The place was very hot. At the center of the volcano, a very large wyvern was asleep. Several gigantic eggs were currently floating above its head, shimmering with ethereal crimson light. This wyvern was a Rank 4 novice-stage chaotic beast.

Kailen knew if he messed this up, he would die before he even knew how it happened. He knew the moment he took the eggs, the wyvern would wake up. He had to do this quickly, meld with the void, and disappear.

Several spatial tears appeared around the eggs and swallowed them up. The spatial tears closed. The eggs reappeared with Kailen. He melded with the void and disappeared.

The wyvern’s eyes flashed open. A terrifying roar shook the mountain as it shot out of the mountain. It stared around. There was no one here. Who had dared to steal her eggs? Did they not know she was the overlord of this area? However, she could sense a faint connection to her eggs. Her eyes peered towards a particular direction. She bolted off.

Those watching everything were puzzled concerning what this Kailen Darkhaven was up to.

Kailen, however, appeared at the centre of the island, where he had scouted several individuals—including Jiang Chuxian and Tyrexis and several others—who were heading towards coincidentally from different directions. There were very powerful Rank 3 novice-stage chaotic beasts here, so several of them had appeared here to hunt for them and climb the rankings. At the same time, battles had broken out among some participants who wanted to eliminate themselves and have less competition climbing the rankings.

At this moment, a figure was surrounded by several people: Julian Sier, the acquaintance of Kailen Darkhaven. To think they would find him here. Julian knew he could not handle these fellows. His best option was to flee, secure a different spot, and hunt for other chaotic beasts.

Kailen was quiet, calm. He turned to Julian, who was preparing to fight alongside him. Several large eggs shining with crimson light appeared before him. Kailen sent a thought transmission to Julian to bolt off. Julian bolted off. He didn’t even ask Kailen why he had to do so; however, he knew this may have been some scheme of Kailen.

Kailen melded with the void and disappeared. Before everyone could process why he had brought these eggs here, left them here and ran away with his acquaintance, a large shadow fell on everyone as the temperature became extremely hot.
