Kailen scanned the place.

He was currently floating above a desert with nothing in sight. The skies were azure. It was daytime, but the place was very hot. Kailen figured he was alone here.

The others must have appeared at different places in the secret realm.

He quickly activated the principle of space and scanned the place.

Several chaotic beasts were hiding beneath the sands of the desert. All the chaotic beasts were at the rank 6 novice stage.

The desert had no end too.

At least, for as far as he could cover, this was what he could see.

"This is quite troublesome. I might die if I stay here. I need to leave this desert. However, I should be very covert. Else, who knows what will happen if those rank 6 novice stage chaotic beasts notice me," Kailen melded with the void and disappeared.

He reappeared at a different part of the desert and scanned the place again. It was the same outcome.

He melded with the void and disappeared again.

Then he reappeared at a different place in the desert and scanned the place. However, the outcome did not change. There were still only rank 6 novice stage chaotic beasts in the desert region.

Kailen melded with the void and disappeared again.

He continued the same process over and over again.

He did not know for how long he had been covertly travelling across the desert.

Days turned into nights. Nights turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months and more.

However, none of the rank 6 novice stage chaotic beasts identified him.

He deemed it because none of them probably had the principle of space to notice the spatial fluctuations when he used the principle of space.

If not, he would have really had a tough time traveling covertly across the desert.

Eventually, Kailen saw a couple of mountains ahead of him. Above the mountains, the skies were thick and heavy. Occasional flashes of lightning and heavy rainfall would descend across the place.

There were also several trees and forests at the place where the mountains were. Several rivers flowed along the place too.

One of the rivers ended at the lower edge of the desert.

A glint of relief flashed through Kailen’s eyes.

"Finally about to leave this damned desert," Kailen thought.

He activated the principle of space and scanned the region ahead.

He did not want to carelessly rush towards the place before getting an of overview of the place.

The moment he activated his principle of space, he quickly deactivated it.

"Rank 6 novice stage space principle chaotic beasts," Kailen muttered as a glimmer of cautiousness flashed through his eyes.

These colossal fish-looking space principle chaotic beasts were parading across a river to which a waterfall from a mountain descended.

Unfortunately for Kailen, this place was the entry point into the region ahead. There was no other way to enter the region ahead.

He had to figure out a way to get past these rank 6 novice stage fish-looking chaotic beasts with the principle of space.

However, the problem was that if he activated his principle of space to try and meld with the void and escape past these creatures, there was a high possibility they could sense his spatial ripples the moment he activated the principle of space and kill him before he could even proceed ahead.

So, making use of the principle of space was out of the picture.

"What if I try to go around this route?" Kailen thought.

"Too risky." He could not even analyze the routes around this one when he activated the principle of space to scout the region ahead earlier. He could only scan the entrance into the region ahead for a moment before he noticed the space principle fish-looking creatures parading the place.

He was therefore not aware of the dangers that lay in other places in the region ahead. And being ignorant of such dangers in a place like this meant that one could not plan for them. Which, ultimately, meant that one could get killed before they knew they were even dead.

"I can only draw closer to the entrance ahead covertly, so that I can at least observe the fish-looking creatures from a closer distance. Perhaps, an opportunity to get across would present itself."

Kailen did not activate his principle of space.

He hid in the sand.

He had memorized all the places in the sand at his current region where all the rank 6 novice stage chaotic beasts in the vicinity were hiding.

With this knowledge, he maneuvered through the sand with the uncanny movement that would make one assume he was some sort of sandworm.

He completely avoided the spots where all the chaotic beasts in the sand were hiding.

His movements were completely covert.

Very soon, he arrived close to the edge of the river the waterfall ran into. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The rank 6 novice stage fish-looking space principle chaotic beasts were seen diving in and out of the river, gallivanting across the place.

Their colossal bead-like eyes would scan the place, after which they would resume their idle swims.

Kailen was patient, hiding in the sand covertly, observing them.

He observed their movements, shifting of positions, when they glided into the river and came out... everything.

Kailen was eager to find a loophole to exploit from anything he could find on them.

After who knows how long, ranging from months to years, a glint flashed through Kailen’s eyes.

"They habitually meld with the void and disappear occasionally. But it rarely happens. That means they leave the current vicinity for a moment even if they reappear at the same place a moment later. I can use that short time they meld with the void to cross into the region."

Kailen thought, "There could possibly be a lot of space principle chaotic beasts in this region. If the entrance is full of them, the interior must be teeming with them. Although I will have to exercise caution when I enter the region, the opportunities might be worth it. It’s worth the risk," Kailen mused.

He observed the creatures again for an extremely long period. He was terrifyingly patient.

The creatures gallivanting in and out of the river melded with the void at the same time.

Kailen melded with the void and disappeared from beneath the sand which was close to the edge of the river the waterfall ran into, above which the fish-looking creatures had melded with the void and disappeared.

The colossal fish-looking creatures appeared on the waters again.

One of them stared in a particular direction ahead for a moment, as if it felt something unusual had just occurred. However, it didn’t see anything wrong a second later and resumed gallivanting in and out of the river, alongside its kin.
