Chapter 72: Registration

Not only were they abnormally strong for their age, but they also managed to reach the apprentice core stage when most people were stuck at the innate stage

Not even being able to create a single star in their lifetimes

And even the ones who were able to surpass that were the nobles who were trained from a young age, and even then the most talented would be lucky if they reached the apprentice stage at thirty.

These two were true monsters

And on top of that, they seemed to know the Emberfang adventurer party, the strongest party currently in the Nazar kingdom if one didn’t count the royal guard

But whoever did

All they ever did was get rid of the stuff the nobles found troublesome, like they were some glorified butlers.

And if you asked any of the ordinary town folk, that was exactly what they were, unless, of course, the king himself ordered them

Long live King Kai; he was truly a kind man, one of a kind.

But these two weren’t known, so they weren’t nobles, and it was most likely that they had just started their journey, as she hadn’t heard so much as their names before.

She had to get into their good graces, and if she could, further than that, way further than that.

Looking at them, to be honest with herself, not only were they strong, talented, and had wonderful connections, but they were also unfairly attractive

The woman was extremely beautiful, and the man, the man was everything she wished for and more.

She really wouldn’t mind if they went and took her right now..

"Hello, miss, we would like to get our registration over and done with, please. Is there anything else we have to do?"

Finally finding her way out of the trance that she had placed herself in by fantasizing about it, she found Olivia’s beautiful face way too close.

Or maybe not close enough

No, what was she thinking? She had a job to do, and she would much rather the man be the one who invaded her space.

After all, she had always much preferred men to women.

"Hello, are you going to answer me or not?" Hearing Olivia’s sweet voice once again she awoke from her slumber once more this time coming to the sound of Olivia tuning to Azreal asking "Should we just go to a different teller this one seems to be quite "

She posed looking over her once more before continuing "defective"

"No, no ma’am, that won’t be necessary, that was only a momentary mistake that I promise won’t happen again."

Olivia merely looked over her once, while Azreal was busy trying to stop himself from laughing, before she moved on asking " So how do we finish registering"

"Yes ma’am of course, registering. How could I forget, just place your hand once more on this crystal instead of the previous one"

She pulled out another crystal this one being deep amethyst with rough jagged edges that looked to be able to cut easily, if the one that held it were still of the innate stage of course.

For all other stages, it would feel uncomfortable to hold at worst.

Taking hold of the crystal it felt warm in Olivia’s hand, she could feel it humming waiting for her to put mana into it and so she did after all what would be the harm

Then she got the same system message as last time

DING!!!

An artifact is trying to extract information from your body. What would you like to share?

She chose to share the same info as last time

And then she simply let go of the crystal as Azrael went up right after her and for him it was the same as what happened for her

Reserving the same message again too

DING!!!

An artifact is trying to extract information from your body. What would you like to share?

Honestly, this was all kinda underwhelming as they did what she said and still nothing, was she even doing her job properly maybe what Olivia said about her was true maybe she was defective

But before they could finish that though they saw a thin section of the desk in front of her start to glow as two cards that looked to be made of solid copper appeared.

She bowed to the desk once before she spoke "Bless the founders and may they live a life befitting of the twofold"

Speaking those words the light that summoned the cards finally disappeared as if satisfied

Seeing that the light was gone she grabbed the cards examining them first before handing them to both Azreal and Olivia each as she explained

"These are your guild cards so don’t lose them ok, they are what we use to track your pending, fallen, and completed quests"

"As you can see their is your information on it so you can use it to get into any city in the Nazar kingdom completely for free"

"And finally given how strong you two are you should be at the gold rank but since you just joined you’ll need at least three successful quests to rank up, as the guild doesn’t just rank off of strength but how well you complete quests, and if you even complete any, can’t have you flaking on us now can we hahah"

Her laugh quickly died down as she saw their faces which looked to have found nothing funny so she quickly turned around to see if there was any work to be done now that she was done with them

She would try to get into their pants another day, but right now she had to make a strategic retreat, it was the only way.

But turning around her face immediately crashed into something sending her tumbling straight to the floor, hard and cold.

Looking up it wasn’t a wall she had hit but a person and not just any person but kyro the leader of the emberfangs the strongest adventurer party in grayskeep if not the whole of the Nazar kingdom.
