Her Food Livestream Broke the Galaxy
Chapter 437 - 456: Low-end Fans’ Low-end Operations!??
The momentum was so overwhelming, it actually overshadowed Xiong Xin!
’Of course, that wasn’t the point. The point was, why did that woman, Mei Lin, have to show up and go against me again?’ 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
’That damn woman! It wasn’t enough that she stole my title as the number one socialite and lived such an enviable life—did she have to oppose me even when it came to stanning a streamer?’
’It was one thing to lose to Mei Lin in other areas, but in a battle of streamers, could Xiong Xin possibly lose to some lowly cook?’
’It’s just about money, isn’t it!’
So that night, Emily—who claimed not to care about money but couldn’t actually come up with any—quickly contacted several of Xiong Xin’s closest friends. In a soft, whimpering voice, she tearfully told them how Xiong Xin was being overshadowed, hoping they might offer a "friendly sponsorship."
Pulling something like this off was simple enough, armed with her titles as Xiong Xin’s fiancée and a Duke’s daughter.
And so, the next morning, Xiong Xin’s name once again flooded the bustling list of trending topics.
Malls across the Federation Star System also began displaying scenes from Xiong Xin’s livestreams of him training in a mecha. It had to be said—the silver-white mecha and the man’s stern, handsome face were indeed quite dazzling.
But the Jiang Qiuqiu of today was not the Jiang Qiuqiu of yesterday. Today, the Ju people couldn’t care less about that whole mall video stunt.
This morning, everyone was playing a different game.
Early in the morning, after everyone had witnessed a series of maneuvers from a certain streamer’s "high-end fans," a new tag shot to the top of the trending list: #LowEndFanBehavior.
At first, everyone assumed the topic was just riding the coattails of yesterday’s "high-end fan" hype. They figured that after seeing such dazzling fans boost their idol’s ranking as if they were just throwing money away, this tag must be a sort of control group for comparison.
After feasting their eyes on a banquet of "gourmet fans" yesterday, seeing a few "stingy" ones today might be a nice change of pace.
So, everyone clicked on the tag.
And then, they understood why it had gone viral.
The pinned post for the tag read: "A few days ago, a certain top socialite and ’noble spokesperson’ on the Star Network attacked us, claiming we stan a ’low-end streamer’ and are therefore ’low-end fans’! We are absolutely heartbroken—"
"Our Juju is so gentle and dazzling. Her looks are sophisticated beyond belief, and the dishes she makes are even more so. What could have led people to slander her like this?! After much deliberation, we’ve come to a conclusion: it must be because we, her fans, are too unremarkable, too ’low’."
"This thread is dedicated to showcasing the ’low-end’ fans who are dragging Juju down, as well as some of our ’low-end’ actions."
When you first read that description, didn’t you find it a bit strange?
Unremarkable? Why would anyone need to showcase that?
And who starts a dedicated thread just to show how they’re holding their idol back?
Anyone who clicked on the tag out of curiosity was quickly left reeling by the deluge of posts that hit them.
Below are a few examples of these "low-end fans."
#LowEnd# I admit it, I’m too low-end. I’ve been in the business for ages, I’m almost fifty, and I’m still just the owner of some dinky little studio.
That user’s verified ID belonged to Shadowlight Studio, a company famous throughout the interstellar community.
#LowEnd# Being low-end isn’t a crime. We just have to learn to accept our own mediocrity. For instance, I can’t be like others and cheer for my idol at the Federal Military Academy.
A look at this fan’s profile revealed his academic history. And of course he couldn’t go to the Federal Military Academy to cheer for his idol—he had been fast-tracked from the Second Military Academy directly into the army as a first-class ace.
#LowEnd# I hate that I don’t have enough money and I’m not some high-society person. I’m just attracting haters for Juju.
This person... why did their profile picture look so familiar?
A click on their profile revealed... ???
Wasn’t this that "Chosen One" who had inherited countless patents and a massive fortune from his ancestors, the guy who could make money just by lying in bed? *He* didn’t have money?
