Cedric’s face changed slightly, and he whispered, "My dad hasn’t been in the office all day."

"Alright, I see," Kael realized.

No doubt, Mr. Digory must have offloaded work onto Cedric to make time to show off his son.

But Cedric truly excelled; few people manage to smoothly handle all tasks on their first day at work, even if the tasks are simple, they can still be quite tedious to deal with.

The two stopped beside the elevator, preparing to gather in the hall, where they would return to Hogwarts through the fireplace.

Soon, the elevator clanked into place, and they stepped inside.

There was another person in the elevator, and it was an acquaintance.

"Long time no see, Percy," Kael greeted.

Honestly, he hadn’t seen Percy for quite a while. According to Fred, when the Weasley family moved to No. 12 Grimmauld Place, Percy cut off contact.

This past Christmas, he even returned the sweater Mrs. Weasley sent him.

Because of this, Fred and George were deeply upset, threatening to teach Percy a lesson the next time they saw him.

Kael also disliked Percy’s actions, but since it’s a Weasley family matter, he felt it inappropriate to intervene too much; he only greeted him out of politeness, planning not to engage in further conversation.

Cedric was the same, he didn’t even need to greet Percy.

The elevator suddenly fell into an eerie silence.

Percy stood at the back, wanting to speak but hesitating, his expression conflicted.

Not until the elevator arrived at the foyer did Kael and Cedric walk out one after the other, Percy suddenly called out, "Please wait..."

The two stopped and turned to look at him.

"Congratulations, Kael," Percy managed an unnatural smile, a hint of envy in his eyes, "I heard, you’re now a Senior Ministerial Assistant, that’s great, isn’t it... I mean, I’m also a Ministerial Assistant, happy to be working with you."

"Thanks," Kael said casually, "but I can only come to the Ministry of Magic once a week, probably won’t be working with you."

Percy felt a bit awkward, not expecting Kael to show him no face, as if speaking to a stranger.

Of course, this situation had crossed his mind... when he returned Mrs. Weasley’s Christmas sweater.

But he hadn’t anticipated Kael rising to become a Senior Ministerial Assistant at the Ministry of Magic, practically Kael was almost his superior now.

Percy then looked at Cedric.

"Sorry, I’m with the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures," Cedric politely cut him off.

"If there’s nothing else..." Kael glanced at Professor McGonagall across, "We’re about to return to Hogwarts."

"Wait..." Percy hurriedly said, "I know I might have done some wrong things before, mom’s right, I should have trusted Dumbledore, can you help me talk to them..."

"Sorry, that’s not really something we can help with," Kael interrupted, "If you really want to gain their forgiveness, why not go speak to them yourself?

"Mr. Weasley works on the second floor, there’s just a floor between you two, you can always find time to go to him."

"I, I don’t know how to say it," Percy’s face reddened, "I’ve done such excessive things before, they must be extremely angry."

"There’s no doubt about that," Kael said, "Fred and George even swore to beat you up, and then there’s Charlie, reportedly if Ginny and Mrs. Weasley hadn’t stopped him, he would have come to the Ministry of Magic to teach you a lesson over Christmas."

"That’s to be expected," Percy said, "I’d rather they do so."

At this moment, other elevators descended, and a large group of people emerged from them, and the area suddenly became much more crowded.

Meanwhile, Professor McGonagall across waved, seemingly indicating for them to hurry over.

"Alright, Percy, this issue isn’t something we can help you with, you’ll have to address it yourself."

Kael said, "If you truly want to apologize, go find Mr. Weasley, no matter what, he won’t shut the door on you."

Kael exchanged no more words with Percy, joining Cedric at the gathering point.

Once everyone had arrived, Professor McGonagall led them back to Hogwarts.
