Chapter 306: Chapter 267: Spaceship Takeoff

The sight that greeted him made Su Ze’s pupils contract. This was the energy room, yet it lacked the modern, high-tech electronics or machinery he had imagined. There was only a small sapling, crowned by a single, enormous leaf, standing in a patch of five-colored soil.

The sapling’s verdant green leaf was larger than the entire plant itself. Above the energy room, an open skylight cast a faint beam of light down onto that massive leaf.

Su Ze noticed countless plant roots crisscrossing the floor beneath his feet. They varied in color, shape, and thickness, clearly originating from different plants.

There had to be tens of thousands of them, all burrowing into the five-colored soil where the sapling was rooted.

"How do I charge it?" Su Ze asked.

The Mother Tree replied, "Just transmit energy toward the skylight. The various Spiritual Plants above will convert any energy into light and project it down."

Su Ze grew pensive, beginning to understand how the spaceship worked.

The spaceship was a composite of countless Spiritual Plants, and its "energy" was the nourishment they needed to function. The ship converted all forms of energy into light, which it then projected into the energy room.

The sapling with the giant leaf in the energy room then performed photosynthesis, converting that light into the nutrients required by all the Spiritual Plants and storing it in the five-colored soil below.

Every other Spiritual Plant on the ship had a root extending into this five-colored soil to absorb those nutrients.

That explained why the five-colored soil was connected to tens of thousands of roots!

A ship this large, with so many Spiritual Plants, would require a colossal amount of energy. Su Ze began to worry. ’Even if I drain myself completely, will it be enough to sustain them all?’

’I’ll give it a try first...’

The most suitable energy he could provide was undoubtedly electricity. To maximize his electrical charge, he had to use his "Expansion" ability to increase his size, which would also increase his electrical capacity.

He first liquefied himself, as the energy room couldn’t accommodate his twenty-meter-tall form.

Then, he began to expand, bit by bit.

Once his liquid form had filled the entire energy room, he had no choice but to let part of his body flow back out along the pathway he had entered through.

After reaching his maximum size, Su Ze began to discharge electricity toward the skylight above, madly unleashing his internal supply...

An intense beam of light immediately shot down from the skylight, striking the sapling’s massive leaf.

Mentally linked to the ship, Su Ze could immediately sense its energy levels rising slowly.

However, the rate of increase was painfully slow.

By the time Su Ze had completely drained himself, the ship’s energy storage had barely reached 1%!

And that was only because the ship still had some residual energy to begin with.

This meant that even at his maximum size, Su Ze couldn’t charge the ship by even a full 1% after completely draining his electrical reserves.

Su Ze reverted from his liquid state and returned to his normal size, falling deep into thought.

’I have to find another way. I could do it by myself, but it would take too long. I’m not in a rush, but I’m worried something unexpected might happen...’

He could slowly regenerate his electrical energy, and once he was fully charged, he could give the ship another boost.

By repeating this process several times, he could eventually get it to 3%.

But it would take far too long—so long that the Sovereign Country might send more powerful entities, like a legendary-level expert, or even the Sovereign himself!

After all, this was an alien spaceship, and it had trapped several Saint-level overlords, including the leaders of two kingdoms. That was more than enough to attract the Sovereign Country’s serious attention.

The Mother Tree had said that no one below the level of a god could force the ship open, but there were always exceptions. Besides, several bigwigs in the Sovereign Country were suspected of having ties to aliens. Who knew what kind of methods those aliens possessed?

’If I want to be more efficient, I’ll have to get those guys inside the ship to help.’

Su Ze suddenly remembered the five Saint-level overlords trapped on the ship. He could definitely make use of them.

...

Jasim and another overlord from the Great Desert Kingdom were searching for an exit when the wall of vines trapping them suddenly retracted.

"Let’s go, quickly!"

Jasim had no time for surprise. He immediately charged back the way he came, afraid of being trapped again.

When he reached a fork in the path, Jasim hesitated for a moment before heading toward the ship’s exit. He decided to get outside and assess the situation before doing anything else.

He had already explored two of the ship’s three main passages. He had sent Heto and Gu Chengguang to explore the third. If even that path yielded no valuable treasures, it would mean this spaceship held little value for them.

Jasim didn’t get far before he stopped short. A familiar wall of plants was blocking his path.

"The exit is sealed too!" the Great Desert Kingdom overlord behind Jasim exclaimed.

Upon hearing his voice, an excited cry came from the other side of the wall.

"Mr. Gu? Mr. Li? Is that you?!"

Jasim raised an eyebrow and called through the wall, "Who are you?"

"I’m Su Ze. Is Mr. Gu not with you?"

"Su Ze?" Jasim paused, then it clicked. "You’re the one who entered the ship first?"

"That’s right. I was in disguise. And you are...?"

"I’m Jasim. What’s the situation on your end?"

Jasim had barely finished speaking when footsteps sounded from behind him. It was Gu Chengguang and the other two.

"Mr. Gu, you haven’t gotten out either? What in the world is going on?" Jasim asked with a frown.

Gu Chengguang and the other two were just as baffled. They had been trapped for quite some time and had been unable to escape, no matter what they tried. Then, just as suddenly, the wall holding them had vanished.
