Vera Wave looked at the USB drive in her hand, casually put it in her pocket, and took the elevator upstairs.

The assistant saw her and immediately came over to greet her.

"Miss Dalton."

"Come in with me!"

Sally Dalton led the assistant into the office, promptly pulled out several reports and documents, carefully signed her name, and handed them over.

"Make two copies, fax one to Singapore, and hand the other to the archives department for storage!"

She was responsible for these documents, and the request from Singapore was urgent, as she had just rushed back from the cemetery.

The assistant left, and the phone on the desk rang again. She reached out and picked up the receiver. It was an employee from Singapore calling to ask her questions about company affairs.

As soon as she hung up the call, the cell phone rang, this time it was the wedding dress company calling to confirm the time for her to try on a wedding dress.

After a struggle, she finally finished with those tasks when an assistant came in with another document.

"Miss Dalton, this document is pressing, can you sign it on behalf of Mr. Leafcastle?"

"Alright, let me take a look!"

Sally Dalton reached out to take the document.

After finally handling everything, when she could finally catch her breath, she had already forgotten about the USB drive she had casually put in her pocket, merely continuing with other work.

By noon, Nathan Leafcastle had come back, and the two of them had a simple working lunch before going into the conference room for a meeting discussing the Jade River project bidding.

A meeting that lasted until dusk.

Sitting in Nathan Leafcastle’s car, heading back to the villa, Sally Dalton felt entirely fatigued, just lazily leaning back in the seat looking drowsy.

"What do you want for dinner?" Nathan Leafcastle asked while driving.

"Whatever, I’m not that hungry."

Stopping at a red light, Nathan Leafcastle looked at her sideways.

"You don’t look well; are you feeling unwell?"

"No, it’s nothing!"

Sally Dalton gently shook her head.

Seeing her somewhat pale complexion, Nathan Leafcastle reached over to feel her forehead. Sensing she was cool and not feverish, he relaxed and continued driving.

When they arrived back at the villa, Sally Dalton took off her jacket, and the servant immediately came over to take her coat.

"Shall I wash this for you?"

She replied casually, stepping towards the stairs, "Please make me some porridge; I’d like something light."

"Okay."

The servant agreed, turned to the laundry room, placed her coat in the washing machine, turned it on, and then walked into the kitchen.

A moment later, the servant came upstairs to call them for dinner.

The two went downstairs together, sat at the dining table, and Sally Dalton took the porridge bowl handed over by the servant, took a bite, and Nathan Leafcastle brought up the Jade River project.

"Any response from Vera?"

Mentioning Vera Wave suddenly made Sally Dalton remember something, she quickly put down the bowl and looked towards the servant carrying the dishes out.

"Xiao Li, where’s the USB drive from my coat?"

"USB drive, what USB drive?" Xiao Li looked puzzled, "I didn’t see any USB drive; I put your coat in the washing machine to wash!"

"Oh no!"

Sally Dalton exclaimed and rushed into the laundry room, looking urgent, and Nathan Leafcastle hurried over too.

Opening the washing machine, she pulled out her coat, felt the pockets finding no USB drive, then took out all the clothes to finally see the USB drive at the bottom. She quickly bent down to fish the USB drive out of the water.
