I Awakened a Divine-Grade Reconstruction System
Chapter 26: First Sale
"Of course sir. The BMW is right this way."
The three men walked toward the black sedan parked closest to the entrance.
As they approached, Vincent slowed down.
The BMW looked even better up close.
The Black Sapphire Metallic paint reflected the morning sunlight beautifully.
The M Sport package gave the car an aggressive stance.
The black kidney grille.
The larger wheels.
The sportier front bumper.
Everything looked exactly as it should.
Vincent stopped beside the driver’s side and ran his eyes across the body panels.
Meanwhile, the mechanic had already gone to work.
Without saying a word, he crouched beside the front wheel and started inspecting gaps and paint consistency.
Richard wasn’t concerned.
There was nothing to find.
The vehicle was perfect.
Vincent looked toward Richard.
"So this is the unit."
"Yes sir."
Richard unlocked the vehicle.
The side mirrors unfolded.
The lights flashed.
Then he opened the driver’s door.
"2024 BMW 330i M Sport. Black Sapphire Metallic exterior. Black Vernasca leather interior. Current mileage is eighteen thousand four hundred twenty-seven kilometers."
Vincent nodded while looking inside.
"The interior is clean."
"Thank you sir. The previous owner maintained it well."
The lie came out naturally.
At this point, Richard almost felt bad for the imaginary previous owner the system had created.
Almost.
Vincent sat inside.
His eyes immediately moved toward the digital instrument cluster.
Then toward the infotainment display.
Then the steering wheel.
Then the seats.
The mechanic eventually joined him.
The man plugged a diagnostic scanner into the OBD port beneath the dashboard.
Richard remained calm.
The scanner booted.
Several seconds passed.
The mechanic frowned slightly.
Then checked again.
Then checked a third time.
Vincent noticed immediately.
"What is it?"
The mechanic looked up.
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Everything looks normal."
Vincent laughed.
"That’s a good thing."
The mechanic nodded.
"It is."
Then he returned to checking the scanner.
A few moments later he exited the vehicle and started inspecting the exterior.
Paint depth gauge.
Panel alignment.
Glass markings.
Headlights.
Taillights.
Tire manufacturing dates.
The inspection was extremely thorough. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Richard silently watched.
This wasn’t some random buyer.
This was somebody genuinely preparing to spend over three million pesos.
Vincent eventually stepped out of the BMW.
"Can we take it for a test drive?"
"Of course sir."
Richard handed him the key.
The engine started instantly.
The familiar BMW startup animation appeared on the digital display.
Vincent smiled slightly.
Then shifted into drive.
The BMW slowly exited the dealership.
The mechanic sat in the passenger seat.
Richard remained behind.
Watching them disappear down the road.
For the next twenty minutes, he waited.
Not nervously.
Just patiently.
Eventually the BMW returned.
The moment Vincent stepped out, Richard noticed something.
The man’s expression had changed.
Before the test drive, he looked interested.
Now he looked impressed.
A very different thing.
Vincent handed back the key.
"The car drives beautifully."
Richard smiled.
"I’m glad to hear that sir."
"The suspension feels tight and the transmission shifts smoothly. As for the engine, it sounds healthy to me. Also the papers."
"The papers are inside the vehicle sir."
Richard pointed toward the BMW.
"Let’s take a look."
The four of them walked back toward the sedan.
Richard opened the driver’s door and reached inside the glove compartment.
Then he pulled out a thick document folder.
Vincent raised an eyebrow.
"You keep the documents inside the car?"
Richard nodded.
"Only for viewing purposes sir."
"It makes it easier whenever customers want to inspect the unit."
Vincent accepted the folder.
The mechanic immediately moved closer.
Inside were copies of the OR and CR.
Registration documents.
Service records.
Preventive maintenance records.
Ownership history.
Insurance records.
Even service invoices.
Everything was neatly organized.
Vincent flipped through several pages.
The mechanic took the folder from him and began examining the documents one by one.
His expression gradually became more serious.
Then he checked another page.
Then another.
Then another.
Several minutes passed.
The only sounds came from pages turning.
Richard remained calm.
After all, there was nothing to worry about.
The mechanic eventually stopped.
Then flipped back several pages.
Then forward again.
Then back again.
Vincent noticed immediately.
"What is it?"
The mechanic frowned.
"Nothing."
Vincent laughed.
"That’s exactly what you said during the diagnostic scan."
The mechanic ignored him.
He continued reviewing the records.
Then finally looked up.
"The paperwork is clean."
Vincent blinked.
"Clean?"
"Yes sir, this car is clean. It’s legit."
"I’m glad to hear that from the mechanic. Now that we have confirmed the legitimacy of the vehicle records, shall we proceed to the next step?"
"Of course," Vincent smiled. "Again, I can bargain, right?"
"Yes you can," Richard chuckled. "So long that it’s within reasonable margin, I can be flexible."
"Good, does 2.8 sound good to you?" Vincent asked.
Richard nearly laughed.
The mechanic actually laughed.
Even Vincent smiled after saying it.
They all knew that number wasn’t serious.
"Sir, if I accept two point eight, Phoenix Auto Trading might close before lunch."
Vincent chuckled.
"Okay, fair. How about 3m?"
"Hmm, I can do 3 million," Richard answered.
"Let’s shake on it," Vincent extended his hand, offering a handshake.
"Okay deal," Richard grabbed his hand, and then shook it, securing the deal.
With that, Richard just made his first sale."
