"With this rate, can I even reach D-class level in these two weeks?" Leon sighed. He looked at Noah beside him. "He still hasn’t woken up." He touched his pulse. "But his injuries have all healed. Hope he gets better fast."

Leon got up and walked toward Emily and Sol. "I have some resources that I am not sure if they can be used as food."

Monster corpses popped out from the panel and fell to the ground one after another. 5 corpses of snow gnashers he had hunted last night. ’I can’t show them all 20. They will grow suspicious. Also I need to sell them for spirit coins too.’

The moment the corpses had started to appear out of thin air, both Emily and Sol had shot up to their feet.

’What the... How is this possible?’ Both siblings had the same thought.

After some time of silence, Emily was the first one to speak. "Where did you get them? And where did they appear from just now?"

"Well you see my magic isn’t actually summoning magic. My magic lets me store things and summon them whenever I need them. It’s kind of handy." Leon explained. ’Just buy it and don’t ask anymore questions please.’

Emily and Sol looked at each other. ’I never heard of an ability like this. Is this for real?’ Emily wondered. ’This guy is full of surprises.’ Sol thought.

"How many things can you store?" Emily asked plainly. Her face had a hint of excitement. But that subtle change was so minor that no one noticed it.

"Well I haven’t tested my ability to the maximum but it’s decent."

’He doesn’t want to disclose. Well can’t blame him. If I could use my power right now, I wouldn’t even have to ask.’ Emily thought.

Seeing none of the siblings talking Leon pressed again. "So? Can they be used as food?"

"Yes." Emily nodded after some time.

"Well, that’s great then. Why don’t you two prepare food and guard this place from now on, and let me go out for hunting?" Leon suggested.

"You? You don’t even know the territory well. And there are powerful beasts here. If you go alone, you might end up dead before you can even help your friends."

"I know. But among the three of us, only my magic is working. I can collect corpses and return with ease. I know which beasts I should target for hunting. So I think it will be better if I go hunting."

"Okay. Then let me come with you." Emily suggested.

"No. Noah still hasn’t woken up. I need to be fully confident that he won’t be harmed. If you come with me, and the cave is under attack, Sol won’t be able to take care of Noah and escape with him at the same time."

Emily looked at Sol, then at Noah’s weak body lying on the ground. "Alright. But be careful."

"Sure." Leon nodded with a smile.

After that the three ate the freshly grilled meat. Leon quickly left the cave after that as if he were in a hurry.

"Now I can hunt monsters on my own and consume their cores. If any of them were with me, it would be difficult to explain my strength besides summoning magic." Leon whispered as he walked across the snow. The cold air was enough to make anyone tremble. But maybe due to Leon’s increased cold resistance, he seemed less affected than yesterday.

Leon was walking when he suddenly noticed a small group of monsters. All were elite goblins. A total of 15 of them. Leon didn’t waste a single second and charged toward them. Within moments, all the goblins lay sprawled on the ground. Leon collected the cores and swallowed them like candies.

Leon didn’t stop and continued to move forward. He met many more groups of monsters on the way. When the beasts were stronger than him, he avoided them and left carefully so he wouldn’t be noticed.

And when the monsters were weaker, he started his massacre.

By the end of the day, he was close to his breakthrough.

"The sun is about to set but I am close. I will only return after my next breakthrough."

With that thought, he continued to press forward. And then, he finally found what he was looking for. Two orcs.

The sword emerged from the panel. Leon grabbed it and rushed forward like a predator.

The monsters noticed the movement and turned toward Leon. The one with a hammer swung it at Leon. Both of them thought Leon was done for. It looked as if they had done it multiple times.

But the hammer didn’t meet its target. Leon ducked at the last moment and slipped through under it. His sword flashed forward and the tip pierced the orc’s chin.

The other orc was dumbfounded and threw a punch reacting instantly. But Leon dodged it with ease as if he were expecting this. He side-stepped, letting the green fist fly past him. Leon’s left fist clenched as he threw a left hook. His fist slammed on the orc’s face.

The green beast only staggered a few steps while Leon felt his hand numbing from the impact. But he didn’t stop. His feet pressed hard into the snow, and he shot forward. The orc sent another punch. Leon leapt high and landed on the orc’s hand before shooting forward, using it as a base.

He swung his sword mid-flight. The orc’s head was sliced cleanly and flew away.

Leon landed on the ground, the two corpses vanishing behind him.

He turned back and walked toward the cores. "Finally."

He picked up the two cores and gulped them without hesitation.
