But Qin Yuesheng suddenly unleashed a wave from within his body, scattering the surrounding mist entirely, and the strange smell disappeared along with it.

"This place wasn’t like this before. No idea what the Poisonous Old Monster is up to today." Du Xiaoqing was equally perplexed.

The group hadn’t walked far when they suddenly heard a commotion nearby, as if some gigantic creature was approaching.

"What is that?" Du Xiaoqing and the others immediately scanned their surroundings, but they couldn’t see anything. The poisonous fog’s ability to obscure vision was exceedingly strong.

The sound of vibrations from the ground grew increasingly loud, and Qin Yuesheng swiftly turned to a direction, raising his blade.

A house instantly collapsed, sending a large amount of tiles and wooden beams flying. A shadow as tall as the house crashed through from the other side.

Everyone quickly retreated to avoid being hit by whatever that was, while Qin Yuesheng leaped aside. He looked closely and saw that the shadow was indeed a gigantic crimson toad the size of a house.

On the back of the crimson giant toad lay a skeletal elder with a bald head but a mass of white hair on the back of his head.

He had a face full of freckles, one blind eye, and was bone-thin, with a mouthful of yellow and black decaying teeth.

The elder held a fish fork in one hand, entirely embedded in the giant toad’s back, with the fork head tightly secured beneath the toad’s skin, to prevent the elder from being thrown off.

"Hahaha! Mighty!" the elder laughed maniacally, letting his white hair dance in the wind.

Everyone feared staying away, yet Qin Yuesheng boldly moved forward, wielding his blade to slash at the giant toad’s head.

Upon witnessing the scene, the elder’s expression changed immediately, and he released one of the fish forks to grab with one hand, "Get lost!"

With his move, inner strength from his body instantly dispersed, transforming into a scaly claw that reached for Qin Yuesheng, attempting to interfere.

However, Qin Yuesheng showed no hesitation, directly amplifying the release of his inner strength.

In an instant, the blade and claw collided.

The crimson giant toad seemed as though a mountain had been pressed onto it, causing its limbs to collapse and making it fall flat to the ground.

Qin Yuesheng felt an uncomfortable heat throughout his body; the elder’s blood turned out to be intensely poisonous, likely surpassing the toxicity of the surrounding poisonous clouds and mist.

"Dare to harm my prey, I will kill you!" The elder took a deep breath, his mouth instantly ballooning like a blower, and his entire chin turned into a balloon.

"Goo!" The elder opened his mouth, and a mass of yellow gas shot toward Qin Yuesheng.

"Insignificant trick." Qin Yuesheng swung the Black Dragon Sword, lashing out a dense waterfall-like Sword Qi to collide with the elder’s gas.

Bang!

The gas mass silently exploded, releasing a large amount of toxic gas that metamorphosed into poisonous insects, swarming toward Qin Yuesheng.

These poisonous insects moved within the toxic fog, intermittently visible, brewing danger.

Du Xiaoqing couldn’t help but feel his heart tighten; he didn’t expect Poisonous Old Monster to appear so suddenly, giving no opportunity for preparation. He simply charged in out of nowhere.
