I PICKED UP A CHILD IN A DUMPSTER
Chapter 155: dragon
"Park Jisoo," she called sharply. "If you intend to sleep through my class again, you may leave."
Slowly—
Jisoo lifted her head from the desk.
The movement itself wasn’t dramatic. Just quiet. Lazy, almost annoyed, like someone waking up from a nap they didn’t want interrupted.
But somehow—
The classroom still quieted.
Not fully.
Not consciously.
A few conversations softened without people realizing it. Chairs stopped moving. Even the teacher’s irritated voice seemed to dull for half a second beneath the strange shift in atmosphere.
And then—
Her eyes moved.
Slowly.
Carelessly at first.
Until they stopped.
On him.
Eun Wo.
That’s actually Si Hon...
She’s looking at him, straight.
Si Hon felt it instantly.
And the moment he did—
Cold sweat exploded down his back.
(Fuck.)
His fingers twitched slightly.
(Fuck fuck fuck.)
The warm classroom suddenly felt unbearably hot, his heartbeat slamming harder against his ribs with every passing second as realization crashed deeper into him.
(I knew it.)
Another beat.
(I fucking knew it.)
Sweat gathered near his neck now, palms damp enough that he could feel it against the desk beside him.
(We’re actually here.)
His expression barely held together.
(SSSSSSSS Grade Regres...)
A pause.
Then internally—
(Fuck this shit. ಠ_ಠ)
Because this wasn’t just "a school scenario."
No.
This was that school.
The one where that thing appeared.
Where people died over and over again.
Where regression turned everyone into paranoid disasters wrapped in trauma and sleep deprivation.
And worst of all—
The protagonist was sitting right there staring at him.
Park Jisoo’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Not aggressively.
Not threateningly.
Just...
Confused.
Careful.
Like something about him immediately felt wrong to her.
Because everyone else in the classroom was reacting normally. Startled. Curious. Distracted by the sudden sound outside.
But him?
He looked like a man who had just seen the apocalypse crawl through the front door wearing a school uniform.
Jisoo tilted her head slightly, gaze sharpening little by little as if trying to figure him out.
Jisoo mind: (Why wasn’t he panicking normally?)
Why did he look like he recognized her?
And more importantly—
Jisoo mind: (Why do he suddenly look terrified before anything had even happened?)
Si Hon immediately looked away.
Too fast.
Way too suspicious.
(Fuck. Calm down. Calm down. Stop looking like a bitch.)
Then—
Plap.
Plap.
Plap.
Ouu shi... I mean—
Flap.
Flap.
Flap.
The sound slammed against the outside air.
Heavy.
Massive.
Close enough that the classroom windows rattled faintly in their frames.
Several students jumped.
One girl near the back flinched hard enough to nearly drop her pen while others instinctively turned toward the glass at the same time, confusion spreading across the room in uneven murmurs.
"What is that...?"
Randoms: "Bird?"
Random2: "No bird sounds like that—"
The teacher frowned mid sentence, finally distracted enough to glance toward the windows herself.
And Si Hon—
Si Hon already knew.
Which somehow made everything infinitely worse.
A second later—
The shadow outside the classroom window grew.
Not gradually.
Not naturally.
One second the sunlight still touched inside—
And the next, the entire room darkened beneath something impossibly massive passing overhead.
Every instinct inside Si Hon screamed immediately.
His head snapped toward the window just in time to see it.
A shape.
Huge.
Far too huge.
Something scaled moving beyond the glass fast enough to blur the light itself.
And then—
Crack.
A thin fracture spread across the classroom wall beside the windows.
Silence hit for less than a second.
Then everything exploded into chaos.
The room erupted.
Chairs screeched violently against the floor as students shot upward all at once, panic detonating faster than thought. Someone screamed near the back. Another student shoved past a desk so hard it flipped sideways with a loud crash.
"What was that?!"
"MOVE! FUCK MOVE!!!"
"Teacher!!"
"D-d-dihragon... (;;;・_・)"
"Mommy!!! Wahhhh" a guy screamed.
The teacher herself had gone pale, stumbling backward while trying to yell something nobody could properly hear anymore beneath the noise.
More cracks spread through the wall.
Fast.
Too fast.
Concrete splintered outward like the building itself had suddenly become fragile paper.
Students rushed toward the classroom door in a frenzy, bodies slamming into each other hard enough to knock people off balance. One girl fell almost immediately, crying as others nearly trampled her trying to escape first.
The windows shattered.
Glass burst inward.
And then—
The wall gave out.
Not like normal concrete breaking.
Not like something collapsing from damage.
It looked more like the classroom itself was being peeled open from the outside by something too large to fit.
A deafening crack tore across the room as the fractured wall bulged inward violently. Dust burst from the cracks in pale clouds while the metal frames around the windows bent with a screaming groan.
Then—
Something white appeared between the broken concrete.
At first, nobody understood what they were seeing.
Curved.
Jagged.
Huge.
A second tooth punched through beside it.
Then another.
Rows.
Massive rows of teeth forcing themselves into view as the wall split wider around them.
The entire classroom froze for one horrible second as everyone realized at the same time—
Those weren’t pieces of debris.
Those were fangs.
The concrete crumbled away in chunks around the creature’s mouth, slabs of broken wall crashing onto desks below while heat rolled into the room in slow waves. Not burning heat.
Just warm.
Heavy.
The kind that clung to skin immediately, carrying the smell of smoke, ash, and something ancient breathing far too close.
Then the mouth pushed further inward.
The wall didn’t survive it.
Concrete snapped apart with explosive force as the dragon forced its head through completely, dust erupting across the classroom while enormous black scales emerged from the collapsing wreckage one after another.
Golden eyes opened through the smoke.
Bright.
Massive.
Focused.
The pupils narrowed slowly as they adjusted to the room, reflecting terrified students.
And suddenly—
The classroom felt tiny.
Its jaws alone were wider than half the room, lined with monstrous teeth slick with heat and saliva that dripped onto shattered desks below with soft hissing sounds. Pieces of concrete were still falling from between its fangs where the wall had broken apart inside its mouth.
A low breath escaped the dragon.
Warm air blasted through the classroom instantly, powerful enough to send papers flying everywhere while curtains snapped violently near the broken windows. The breath carried smoke through the room in thick waves, blurring the air around its enormous face.
Someone screamed.
Another student collapsed backward again.
One boy near the front— near Si Hon stared at the dragon completely frozen, lips trembling soundlessly as tears started running down his face before he even realized he was crying.
And the dragon—
Moved closer.
Slowly.
Its enormous jaws opening wider as broken concrete continued falling from its teeth and unto floor below.
(Fuck.)
Si Hon’s thoughts broke apart instantly.
(Fuck FUCK this— Agssjdnbdnanagagahahaggahagdhdhdhdh!!!)
