Chapter 158: Chapter 158: The Void-Eater’s Folly, Absolute Compression

The massive iron doors of the dreadnought’s bridge did not open. They dissolved.

A wave of pure absolute decay washed outward! It instantly turned the heavy metal into fine gray dust that blew away in the freezing wind.

Lucifer stood on the obsidian deck with the ruby-red Blade of Ruin resting casually in his right hand.

Elara flanked him with her Twilight wings shifting smoothly against her iridescent armor.

They looked into the exposed command center.

It was a cavernous spherical room completely devoid of control consoles or steering mechanisms.

The entire space was dedicated to a massive pulsating pool of thick corrosive purple sludge.

Standing in the center of the pool was Baal.

The Void-Devourer did not look like a traditional demon. He was a towering fifteen-foot-tall mass of shifting unstable dark matter!

He had no permanent shape. Jagged limbs, extra eyes, and massive tooth-filled maws constantly formed and dissolved across his body.

He did not wear armor; the concentrated Abyssal magic served as an impenetrable shield.

[System Warning: Primordial Threat Engaged!]

[Entity: Baal, The Void-Devourer (Level 80 - Demon King)]

[Status: Consuming ambient spatial energy.]

"You broke my ship, little Emperor," Baal’s voice resounded.

It did not sound like a single entity speaking. It sounded like a thousand drowning men screaming through a mouthful of mud.

The sound grated against Lucifer’s eardrums and attempted to induce nausea and vertigo.

"Your ship is anchored to my city," Lucifer corrected smoothly. His voice was amplified by his Void Arcanist core and cut cleanly through the nauseating resonance. "I didn’t break it. I claimed it."

Baal laughed. A massive jagged maw opened on his chest and revealed rows of spinning shark-like teeth.

"You claimed a tether," Baal mocked and stepped out of the purple sludge pool. The dark matter of his body shifted and formed two massive clawed hands.

"You think you trapped me? I latched onto your floating rock because your engine is a delicacy.

The Void-Core Reactor... the raw unshaped potential... it is a feast fit for a king."

He pointed a shifting shadowy claw at Lucifer.

"I am going to eat your reactor," Baal declared. "I am going to eat your city. And then, I am going to eat you."

The Demon King lunged.

He did not teleport. He did not run. He expanded.

The dark matter composing Baal’s body violently stretched outward and completely filled the cavernous bridge.

He became a massive surging wave of absolute decay and aimed to simply swallow Lucifer and Elara whole.

"Elara," Lucifer commanded quietly. "Hold your ground."

He did not activate Void Step. He did not raise his sword to block.

Lucifer stepped directly into the path of the massive incoming wave of Abyssal rot.

Baal’s shifting form crashed into the Warlord!

The Demon King expected the mortal to instantly dissolve. He expected the dark leather armor to rot away, the flesh to melt, and the soul to be devoured.

Instead, Baal’s dark matter slammed into a solid unyielding wall.

Lucifer stood perfectly still. The massive wave of decay washed over his body and completely stopped.

The Aegis of the God-Slayer, the pitch-black kite-shaped shield forged from the Heart of Ruin, rested on Lucifer’s left arm.

The Mythic artifact did not just block physical damage; it possessed Absolute Divine Negation.

It passively nullified fifty percent of all incoming God-Tier magic.

And the remaining fifty percent?

Lucifer’s Archmage-level Void Arcanist core, permanently synced with the Viceroy of Shadows title, simply absorbed it.

The dark matter of the Void-Devourer hit the infinite empty density of Lucifer’s soul and was effortlessly swallowed.

"You call yourself a devourer?" Lucifer scoffed smoothly. He looked entirely unimpressed. "You taste like cheap mud."

Baal shrieked in sudden profound shock! The Demon King rapidly recoiled and pulled his mass back into a fifteen-foot bipedal shape.

"Impossible!" Baal roared with multiple eyes opening across his shifting body to stare at the Warlord in sheer disbelief. "You negated the decay! You are mortal! Your core should have shattered!"

"My core is a black hole," Lucifer stated coldly. "You are just throwing dirt into it."

Lucifer did not wait for the Demon King to try another spell.

He raised his right hand.

The Gauntlet of the Void King crackled with fierce blinding black lightning.

"System," Lucifer commanded. The void in his eyes spun wildly and consumed the dim light of the bridge.

"Gravity Crush," Lucifer ordered.

He did not target a small localized area. He targeted the entire fifteen-foot mass of the Demon King!

"Apply the Apex Multiplier," Lucifer whispered. "Ten thousand times."

[Divine Talent: Apex Multiplier Activated!]

[Applying 10,000x multiplier to Spatial Density and Gravitational Pull...]

The air inside the bridge did not warp. It instantly shattered!

A supermassive perfectly spherical singularity snapped into existence and entirely enveloped the Demon King.

Baal did not even have time to scream. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

The intense 10,000x multiplied gravity slammed down on the Level 80 Primordial entity from every conceivable angle simultaneously.

The sheer overwhelming physical pressure bypassed all magical shields and dark matter defenses.

The massive fifteen-foot demon was violently and aggressively compressed.

CRUNCH!

The dark matter composing Baal’s body shrieked as it was forced inward! The shifting limbs, the extra eyes, the gnashing maws, everything was instantly crushed together.

The singularity shrank rapidly.

Ten feet. Five feet. One foot.

The Demon King of the Abyss was physically compacted until he was no larger than a glass marble.

The intense gravity stabilized and held the ultra-dense screaming sphere of compressed Abyssal magic perfectly suspended in the air.

Lucifer walked forward. His boots clicked casually against the deck.

He reached out with his left hand with the Aegis of the God-Slayer completely shielding his arm from the localized spatial distortion.

He plucked the marble-sized vibrating sphere of dark matter out of the air.

Lucifer held the compressed Demon King between his thumb and index finger.

The tiny sphere vibrated violently and hummed with the agonizing trapped consciousness of a Level 80 boss. Faint microscopic screams echoed from the dense magic.

Lucifer brought the sphere close to his face.

"You wanted to eat my engine," Lucifer whispered softly to the trapped demon. A cold predatory smirk touched his lips. "I think the engine would rather eat you."

He did not crush the sphere. He did not toss it away.

Lucifer opened his Dimensional Vault.

He did not store the sphere in his general inventory. He channeled his Void Arcanist mana, bypassed the standard spatial storage, and opened a direct localized micro-rift straight into the Aether-Forge deep within Zephyria.

The tiny rift hovered over the palm of his hand and showed a direct view of the blinding blue and purple core of the Void-Core Reactor.

"Vexia. Thrain," Lucifer commanded over the comms rune.

"We are here, Warlord!" Thrain replied and his voice boomed over the sound of the engine.

"I am sending down a high-density fuel pellet," Lucifer stated smoothly. "Open the primary intake valve. Do not let it touch the outer casing."

"Intake valve open!" Vexia confirmed and her voice rang with efficiency.

Lucifer casually dropped the compressed Demon King into the micro-rift.

The tiny vibrating sphere of dark matter fell through the spatial tear and dropped flawlessly into the roaring infinite energy core of Zephyria’s main engine.

The micro-rift snapped shut.

For a second, there was absolute silence.

Then, the entire floating city violently shuddered!

It was not a structural failure. It was a massive catastrophic power surge.

"By the ancestors!" Thrain roared over the comms and his voice cracked with pure unadulterated awe. "The reactor output is spiking! It’s consuming the mass! The thrust capacity just tripled!"

"The Sanguine Grid is holding, but it’s redlining!" Vexia shrieked happily. "Whatever you just fed it, it tastes like absolute primordial power!"

"It was a Demon King," Lucifer replied smoothly.

He lowered his hand and turned away from the empty silent bridge.

[System: Epic Boss Eliminated!]

[Entity: Baal, The Void-Devourer (Level 80)]

[Method: Engine Consumption.]

Elara stood by the shattered iron doors with her violet eyes wide.

"You used a Primordial Demon as engine coolant," Elara noted and shook her head slowly. She lowered her spear. "That is... terrifyingly pragmatic."

"It’s recycling," Lucifer corrected her.

He walked past her, stepped out of the ruined bridge, and moved back onto the jagged obsidian deck of the Dreadnought.

The battle on the lower tiers of Zephyria was already ending.

With Baal dead, the massive fleshy boarding tentacles connecting the two ships withered and dissolved into gray ash.

The invading Abyssal monsters, cut off from their commander and their power source, were rapidly slaughtered by the combined forces of the Solaris Templars, the Phantom Rangers, and the Star-Kissed Elven snipers.

"The boarding action is repelled, Grand Marshal," Celeste reported over the comms and breathed heavily but sounded triumphant. "The lower courtyards are secure."

"Good," Lucifer said.

He looked down at the massive empty black fortress of the Abyssal Dreadnought beneath his boots. The ship was no longer a threat. It was an empty drifting hulk of high-density Umbral Ore.

He opened his Dimensional Vault to its maximum capacity.

"Gravity Crush," Lucifer commanded.

He did not target a specific enemy. He targeted the entire city-sized dreadnought.

The localized singularity expanded massively and encompassed the entire Abyssal ship. The intense gravity did not crush the fortress.

It compressed the spatial footprint of the massive structure and shrank it down until it easily fit through the dark rift of his soul storage.

Lucifer sucked the entire Demon King’s flagship into his inventory like a stray coin.

He dropped back onto the high balcony of Zephyria and landed smoothly next to the golden railing.

He closed the vault.

"Sarah," Lucifer ordered and his void-swirling eyes locked onto the glowing starry sky above them.

"I have the helm, Emperor," the Oracle replied from the Spire and her voice was steady and confident.

"The reactor is overcharged," Lucifer stated smoothly. He rested his iron gauntlets on the railing and looked up at the colossal shimmering barrier of pure divine law hovering miles above them.

The Pearl Gates of the Silver Citadel.

"Set a direct collision course," Lucifer commanded.

He did not tell her to slow down. He did not tell her to scan for a docking bay or a magical weak point.

"Maximum thrust," Lucifer ordered and a cold predatory smirk touched his lips. "We are going to knock."
