I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier
Chapter 179: The River of the Damned
The river of souls was severed.
Lucifer and Lyra hovered in the middle of the massive, glowing channel.
The white light of the purified souls drifted upward, a silent, peaceful snowstorm rising toward the crust of the mantle miles above them.
Lucifer’s breathing was heavy, wet with the metallic taste of Abyssal rot. Lyra held him tightly, her warm healing magic pushing back the corrosive dark energy he had absorbed.
"The feed is broken," Lyra whispered, resting her forehead against his shoulder. Her silver armor gleamed softly in the ambient light. "The egg is no longer receiving the souls."
"Good," Lucifer rasped.
He didn’t linger in the embrace. He was a Warlord, and they were floating in hostile territory.
Lucifer pulled back slightly, his void-swirling eyes locking onto the massive, violet sun at the center of the Hollow Core. The Egg of Nihilanth.
Without the massive, continuous influx of screaming souls to fuel its rapid gestation, the violent, erratic pulsing of the egg slowed noticeably.
The spikes of dark matter that had been tearing through the plasma surface receded, leaving the massive sphere looking smooth, cold, and profoundly angry.
"It knows we cut the line," Lucifer noted smoothly.
He activated Void Step. He didn’t teleport them back to Zephyria. He teleported them closer to the objective.
Lucifer and Lyra materialized on one of the colossal, dark purple fleshy pillars that crisscrossed the center of the cavern, roughly two miles away from the egg.
The "ground" beneath their boots felt horribly wrong. It was soft, spongy, and pulsed with a slow, biological rhythm.
Lyra grimaced, stepping lightly on the corrupted flesh. "This entire dimension feels sick."
"It’s a stomach," Lucifer said dryly. "It isn’t supposed to be pleasant."
He tapped his comms rune, connecting back to the floating city.
"Elara. Celeste," Lucifer commanded.
"We are tracking you, Grand Marshal," Celeste’s voice crackled through the link. The High Ranger sounded focused.
"Zephyria is moving to anchor position above your coordinates. The Void-shield is holding against the ambient pressure."
"Bring the city as close as the magnetic fields allow," Lucifer ordered. "I want the Paladin-Mechs and the Wyrms ready for immediate deployment. We are going to crack the shell."
"The Wyrms are restless, Warlord," Isolde hissed over the comms. The Dragon Queen was circling the city. "They smell the stagnant magic. They want to burn it."
"Tell them to wait," Lucifer said smoothly.
He looked at the Egg of Nihilanth.
The sheer scale of the embryo was mind-bending. Up close, the violet plasma did not look like fire. It looked like a solid wall of absolute cosmic law, designed to incubate a creature that ate dimensions.
"We can’t just hit it with a sword," Lyra observed, her tactical mind engaging. She looked at the smooth surface of the egg.
"The density is incomprehensible. Even a million-fold strike from the Star-Shatter Cannon would just splash off that barrier. The magic is too pure."
"The magic is pure, but the architecture is flawed," Lucifer corrected her.
He opened his system interface, projecting a localized tactical map of the immediate area around the egg.
"It hatched early because I killed the wardens," Lucifer explained, pointing to the glowing red markers on the hologram. "And now we just starved it by cutting the soul river.
The shell is hardening, but it hasn’t fully set. There is a structural weak point. A microscopic flaw in the cosmic law where the dark matter hasn’t fused perfectly."
"A weak point on a moon-sized egg?" Lyra raised an eyebrow, a faint, skeptical smile touching her lips. "That is a very small target, Lucifer. How are we supposed to find it? Throw rocks until one breaks through?"
"We don’t throw rocks," Lucifer said softly. "We ask the Oracle."
He tapped the comms rune again.
"Sarah," Lucifer called out.
"I am here, Lucifer," the Star-Touched Oracle replied. Her voice echoed slightly from the Spire of Celestial Convergence.
"I need you to look at the egg," Lucifer commanded. "I need you to find the flaw in the shell."
There was a long, heavy silence on the comms.
"Lucifer," Elara’s voice cut in, tight with sudden, intense alarm. "You are asking her to use cosmic sight to scan a Primordial World-Eater.
The psychic weight of that entity is incalculable. When she looked at the Abyssal Rift, it nearly fried her core. If she connects her mind to the World-Eater itself..."
"I know," Lucifer said smoothly. He didn’t sound worried.
He looked up at Zephyria, a massive black shape hovering in the gloom above them.
"Sarah," Lucifer repeated quietly. "Can you do it?"
"I can," Sarah’s musical voice replied. It lacked its usual gentle tone. It was hard, precise, and absolutely fearless.
"I am an Oracle. I see the architecture of reality. The egg is just a very large, very angry rock."
"Good girl," Lucifer murmured, a rare, genuine smile touching his lips.
"But Elara is right," Sarah continued. "The psychic feedback will be instantaneous. The World-Eater’s mind is chaotic. If I link to it, it will try to lobotomize me. I need anchors."
"You have them," Lucifer stated.
He looked at Lyra. The Dawn Saintess nodded instantly, gripping her silver broadsword.
"Elara," Lucifer ordered over the link. "Get to the Spire. Link your core with the Oracle. Lyra and I will anchor her from down here."
"I am moving," Elara confirmed fiercely.
Lucifer deactivated the comms rune. He looked at the massive, violet egg.
He didn’t draw his sword. He raised his left hand, grabbing Lyra’s armored wrist.
"System," Lucifer commanded, his voice dropping into the low, echoing rumble of the Void Monarch. "Establish direct Soul-Bond network. Target: Sarah. Anchors: Lucifer, Lyra, Elara."
[System: Soul-Bond Network Initiated.]
[Status: Multi-Core Synchronization Active.]
The connection hit Lucifer like a physical blow.
He didn’t just feel Sarah’s presence. He felt Elara’s fierce, predatory twilight magic and Lyra’s warm, absolute holy light simultaneously.
The four of them were linked, their minds and mana cores fused into a single, unified defensive grid. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
High above, standing on the golden observation deck of the Spire, Sarah closed her eyes.
She raised the Scepter of Cosmic Alignment. The massive violet crystal at the apex of the Wonder flared brilliantly.
"I am going in," Sarah whispered through the shared mental link.
She pushed her Oracle sight out of her body, bypassing the physical world, and plunged her consciousness directly into the colossal, violet plasma shell of the World-Eater’s egg.
The backlash was catastrophic.
Lucifer gasped, his knees buckling slightly. The sheer, incomprehensible scale of the World-Eater’s chaotic, insane mind crashed into the network.
It felt like standing underneath a collapsing galaxy. It was pure, screaming, unadulterated madness.
HUNGER. CONSUME. SHATTER.
The primal thoughts of the incubating god ripped through their shared consciousness.
"Hold her!" Lucifer roared mentally.
Lyra screamed, her white holy light flaring violently as she poured her entire Tier 5 core into the network, acting as a soothing, stabilizing balm against the abrasive madness.
Elara’s dark matter surged, providing a rigid, unyielding wall of mental armor around the Oracle’s fragile mind.
Lucifer acted as the gravity well. He used his Void Arcanist core to absorb the excess psychic pressure, funneling the overwhelming terror of the World-Eater directly into the absolute emptiness of the Void.
Sarah didn’t break.
Protected by her Warlord and her sister Sovereigns, the Oracle navigated the madness. She pushed her sight through the chaotic, swirling plasma of the shell, looking for the microscopic structural flaw.
"It’s moving," Sarah strained, blood pouring from her nose and eyes high on the Spire. "The flaw isn’t static. The shell is fluid. The weak point is shifting every microsecond."
"Track it," Lucifer ordered, sweat dripping from his chin as he held the psychic weight.
"I am tracking it," Sarah replied fiercely.
A tiny, glowing silver coordinate appeared in Lucifer’s vision, projected directly from the Oracle’s mind. It danced erratically across the massive surface of the violet egg, moving with terrifying speed.
"There," Sarah whispered. "That is the flaw. If you hit that exact point with absolute physical force, the shell will shatter."
Lucifer opened his eyes. The physical world snapped back into focus.
He released Lyra’s wrist. The Dawn Saintess slumped against a fleshy pillar, panting heavily, her holy aura dimming from the immense exertion.
Lucifer looked at the massive egg. The tiny, glowing silver target marker continued to dance across the violet plasma, locked in place by Sarah’s ongoing, agonizing scrying.
"I have the mark," Lucifer announced.
He didn’t draw his sword. A sword was not heavy enough to crack a planet.
He raised his right hand. The Gauntlet of the Void King crackled with fierce, pitch-black lightning.
"System," Lucifer commanded.
He channeled his entire, Level 50 Archmage core into the Mythic artifact.
"Apply the Apex Multiplier," Lucifer whispered. "Ten thousand times."
[Divine Talent: Apex Multiplier Activated!]
[Applying 10,000x multiplier to Physical Kinetic Output and Spatial Density...]
[Warning: Artifact Integrity Compromised. Catastrophic Failure Imminent.]
Lucifer ignored the red warning text.
He didn’t use a spell. He didn’t cast Gravity Crush.
He pulled his right arm back. He poured the 10,000x multiplied kinetic force and infinite spatial density directly into his knuckles.
The Gauntlet of the Void King shrieked, the dark matter metal actually beginning to melt and warp under the impossible strain of holding that much physical power.
Lucifer didn’t activate Void Step. He activated Zephyr’s Grace.
He launched himself off the fleshy pillar.
He became a blur of dark motion, sprinting across the empty, zero-gravity air toward the colossal, violet egg. He moved faster than sound, faster than light. He was a singular point of absolute, unstoppable kinetic violence.
The tiny silver target marker darted across the surface of the shell.
Lucifer tracked it flawlessly.
He reached the egg.
"Break," Lucifer roared.
He drove his multiplied, iron-clad fist directly into the shifting, microscopic weak point on the violet plasma shell.
The impact did not make a sound.
The sheer, physical force of a 10,000x multiplied Archmage punch hitting a fixed point of cosmic law caused reality itself to stutter.
The Gauntlet of the Void King could not survive the collision. The Mythic artifact, Lucifer’s most powerful and trusted tool, violently exploded into a million pieces of harmless black dust.
The concussive backlash of the destroyed artifact ripped up Lucifer’s right arm, shattering the bones in his forearm and searing his flesh.
Lucifer was thrown backward, tumbling helplessly through the air, his right arm a ruined, smoking mess.
But the strike landed.
The tiny, localized point of impact on the egg rippled.
A single, hairline fracture appeared on the flawless violet plasma.
The crack stopped for a fraction of a second.
Then, it spiderwebbed.
CRACK.
The sound was apocalyptic. The crack raced across the entire, moon-sized surface of the egg in a matter of seconds. Blinding, chaotic white and black light poured out of the fissures.
The shell was shattered.
But it didn’t collapse inward. It exploded outward.
The Egg of Nihilanth ruptured.
The premature hatching was violent and catastrophic. A shockwave of pure, unadulterated cosmic destruction ripped through the Hollow Core.
"Lucifer!" Lyra screamed, launching herself into the air to catch him.
The Warlord had cracked the shell. But he had just unleashed the end of the world.
