Atheline twisted sideways as black claws tore through the air beside his head. Wind exploded beneath his feet instantly, accelerating his movement unnaturally.

He was faster than before. The advancement had sharpened his wind element as well, making his understanding better.

The wolf pursued relentlessly. It used every part of its body in the attack, claws, fangs, and tail everything attacked at once.

Every movement carried an overwhelming force capable of splitting apart the forest itself. Atheline dodged narrowly between attacks while arrows formed rapidly in his hands through condescend Elementals.

He created glowing lighting arrows to mirror the normal arrows and released, sometimes one sometimes more in accordance with the position he was in.

One of the projectiles pierced through one of the wolf’s remaining eyes.

An ice arrow was released next.

The wolf’s front leg froze partially mid-motion.

Earth arrow followed.

The impact shattered scales across its ribs. Yet the wolf kept attacking, it seemed to be almost unstable. Its body regenerated visibly beneath Luna Aether flowing through its wounds.

Atheline’s eyes narrowed slightly.

’Regeneration. This is going to be troublesome’

The serpent descended again from above. This time its target was clearly Atheline. Its enormous jaws opened wide enough to swallow a building.

Darkness erupted upwards at the same moment. Cassian appeared from the creature’s own shadow.

A black spear formed in his hand before piercing directly through one of the Serpent’s lower jaws.

The beast shrieked violently.

Cassian grinned.

"Ugly thing."

Shadows spread instantly across the serpent’s face, covering several of its glowing eyes completely.

Atheline moved immediately. Water gathered around his bow, then lightning, then wind. The three elements compressed together until the surrounding air screamed from pressure alone.

He pulled the string, then the nocked arrow vanished and a fraction later the serpent’s skull exploded.

Lightning burst outwards through shattered scales while violent wind pressure ripped through the nearby trees.

The gigantic body crushed through the forest floors hard enough to shake the entire region. Its blood spluttered everywhere, the sickening sweet and metallic scent of blood mixing with the steam in the air.

One dead.

The death seemed to have had the opposite effect. The other monsters became more violent afterwards.

The wolf roared furiously before lunging towards Cassian at terrifying speed.

Cassian’s eyes widened. Shadows erupted defensively around him but it wasn’t enough. His eyes fell close but then fire descended.

Yander intercepted the creature directly.

Her flaming sword collided directly against black claws in an explosion of dark flames. The impact shattered the surrounding ground.

Yander gritted her teeth immediately. The wolf was strong, far stronger physically than she had anticipated. The wolf forced her backwards despite the flames burning across its body.

Then the ape attacked simultaneously from behind her. A massive fist that could instantly flatten her, first descended.

Atheline appeared instantly. He waved his hand and earth erupted instantly, colliding with the oncoming fist. The stone barrier shattered beneath the ape’s strike but slowed it down enough.

Lightning flashed then.

He grabbed Yander’s arm and pulled her clear, just before the second impact annihilated the area.

The three regrouped briefly atop broken stone with the remaining monsters circling them. Their breath came out heavy, each sustaining a wound or two but they were all still alive and well.

Cassian glanced sideways towards Atheline.

"... you really fight like a monster."

Yander silently agreed.

The elemental transitions surrounding him had become terrifyingly smooth now. Six different elements flow together seamlessly.

Atheline ignored the compliment completely. His eyes remained fixed on the two creatures ahead, calculating how they were going to defeat them without dying in the process.

Then he spoke quietly.

"The wolf regenerats."

Cassian nodded. " The ape has absurd defense."

Yander flames intensified around her blade.

"Then we kill them simultaneously."

Silence followed briefly, each considering the absurdity of the situation but they knew that was the best way.

The three moved simultaneously in a coordinated match that had been gained during the intense fight they had gone through.

A perfect synergy during battle.

The centre of the Splitting harrows erupted into violence.

The wolf lunged first. Its colossal body tore through the ruined forest like a living calamity, crushing ancient trees beneath its clawed limbs. Its remaining golden eyes burned with murderous anger after destroying one of them earlier.

At the same time, the armoured ape smashed both fists against the ground. The ground shattered even further. Earth lifted from the ground destroying the uneven ground while entire sections of the forest collapsed inward.

Cassian reacted immediately. Shadows exploded outwards beneath the group.

"Above."

Dark tendrils wrapped around all three and launched them skyward a fraction before rising stone pillars crushed the ground where they had been standing.

Atheline twisted mid-air, wind spiralling first around him, the air itself obeying his command.

His bow appeared in his hand and three elemental arrows simultaneously. Fire, lightning, and ice were released.

The arrows screamed downwards like falling stars.

The wolf twisted unnaturally to avoid the fire arrows, but the lightning projectile stuck directly against its shoulder.

Electricity exploded across its body the moment it came into contact. It was violent enough that its movements froze for a fraction.

The ice arrow followed immediately afterwards. Frost spread across the wolf’s legs, freezing the surrounding ground solid.

Then, Yander descended.

Her white hair whipped violently behind her while dark flames condensed around the blade with a terrifying density.

Unlike ordinary flames, her flames did not spread outward but focused entirely on cutting power.

A crescent of dark flame curved through the air and struck the wolf directly across its chest. The explosion split apart frozen earth beneath the monster while black blood erupted across the battlefield.

The wolf roared violently.

But before it could retaliate, darkness swallowed its shadow. Cassian’s golden eyes gleamed faintly.

"Stay still."

The wolf’s own shadow spread upwards unnaturally before wrapping around its limbs like chains. The chains weren’t fully restrictive but enough to slow it down and interrupt its movement.

They were just looking for a small opening in its defense.

The ape roared furiously from below and leaped upwards. Despite its enormous size the creature moved terrifyingly fast. Its massive fist tore through the air directly towards Cassian.

The pressure alone distorting the atmosphere.

Cassian clicked his tongue softly.

Shadows surged beneath him instantly, and then, Atheline appeared.
