He averted his gaze and headed for his apartment building. Lin Li planned to go home and then visit the Mysterious Small Island to water the fruit trees and vegetables he was growing there.

"I’ve gained a little weight recently, so I’ve been making myself do a fitness routine every day.

You, on the other hand, Mom... I think you’ve put on a little weight yourself. You should probably start working out too, before Dad starts complaining."

"Your dad wouldn’t dare complain, even if you gave him ten times the nerve..." Zheng Qiuyi said, rolling her eyes at her daughter with utter confidence.

Still, even though she knew her husband would love her just the same if she gained a lot of weight, her daughter’s words made her, as a woman, subconsciously touch her own waist, which was completely free of fat.

After teasing her mom, Su Yue chuckled and asked, "Anyway, Mom, was there something you needed? I still have to finish my workout!"

Seeing that her daughter was busy working out, Zheng Qiuyi got straight to the point.

"In a few days, your dad will be finishing up his current project and plans to take a few days off.

Since he’ll have some free time, your dad and I are planning to come visit you for a few days. You’ll need to make some time to show us around."

"Okay," Su Yue nodded. "Just let me know the day before you and Dad are coming, and I’ll ask my friend for some time off."
