Jin Ling shot to his feet and rushed toward Qiao Xixi, but Mr. Bai blocked his path.

"Jin Ling, don’t get distracted during a fight!"

Mr. Bai attacked again, and Jin Ling had no choice but to counter.

In a moment while Jin Ling was dodging, Mr. Bai glanced back at Qiao Xixi and immediately noticed her swollen belly.

Mr. Bai quickly looked away and dodged, but Jin Ling’s sharp claws still managed to scratch his face.

Qiao Xixi frowned, clutching her stomach in pain. The moment she moved, she felt a warm gush of fluid run down her legs.

Qiao Xixi was shocked.

’Did my water just break?!’

"Mother, what’s wrong? Get back inside, quickly!"

The cubs quickly helped Qiao Xixi into the house.

Qiao Xixi lay on the bed, cold sweat beading on her forehead.

"Mother, it looks like... you’re about to give birth."

A brilliant golden light burst from his body, so blinding that Mr. Bai could hardly keep his eyes open.

When the golden light faded, a Golden Tiger Beast, now more than double its previous size, swiped its claws at Mr. Bai.

Mr. Bai stared at Jin Ling in astonishment. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he would never have believed that Jin Ling had just broken through to the 9th rank right in front of him!

"Jin Ling, I knew I wasn’t wrong about you! You were the most talented of that litter! You, and your cub—I will take you both!"

A powerful electric current gathered in Jin Ling’s palm, and he blasted it toward Mr. Bai.

High above the tribe, more and more Golden Eagle Beasts circled, nearly blotting out the multi-colored clouds in the sky.

The Golden Eagle Beasts continuously dived toward the tribe, attempting to destroy the houses within.

A male beastman standing guard in the tribe shouted an order.

"Light all the Purple Moon Grass!"

"Right."

The males obeyed, raising their torches to light the previously piled-up Purple Moon Grass.

The moment the Purple Moon Grass ignited, thick black smoke billowed into the air, carried upward by the wind.

After lighting the Purple Moon Grass, the tribe’s males quickly retreated back into their stone houses.

The Golden Eagle Beasts in the sky inhaled the thick smoke from the burning Purple Moon Grass. At first, they just found the smell unpleasant, but they soon felt something wrong with their bodies. Their wings felt as if they weighed a thousand pounds, and they couldn’t flap them no matter how hard they tried.

One, two, three... one after another, the Golden Eagle Beasts plummeted from the sky.

The male beastmen hiding in the stone houses watched in amazement. "This Purple Moon Grass is incredible! The smoke is killing those Golden Eagle Beasts."

The other Golden Eagle Beasts realized something was wrong and quickly turned to fly upwind.

Standing on a hilltop, Jin Wei watched the battle in the tribe, his tiger-like eyes growing darker.

"You’re struggling this much against a single tribe? Useless trash!"

Jin Wei suddenly shifted into his beast form and roared at those behind him. "Follow me! Tonight, I will flatten the Divine Leopard Tribe!"

"ROAR!"

The tiger beasts Jin Wei had brought with him followed behind him, charging toward the tribe.

However, what Jin Wei didn’t expect was that just as they were approaching the tribe’s side gate, a small black figure suddenly flashed past them.

But the small figure vanished in the blink of an eye.

Jin Wei stopped in his tracks. He watched the black shadow’s path grimly, then suddenly swiped a claw at the fast-running figure.

Sangqi was startled. The very instant Jin Wei’s claw was about to touch him, he suddenly burrowed into the ground and vanished into thin air!

"City Lord?"

Jin Wei’s golden pupils scanned the darkness rapidly. Just then, he felt a tremor beneath his feet.

Jin Wei quickly leaped back.

A massive Earth Escape Beast shot out of the ground. With its cavernous mouth wide open, it charged at the beastmen behind Jin Wei.

Jin Wei stared at the Earth Escape Beast, somewhat surprised. Then, more and more Earth Escape Beasts burst from the ground.

Standing on the city wall, Sangqi made a face at Jin Wei. "You big bullies! Let the Earth Escape Beasts have some fun with you."

Jin Wei let out a tiger’s roar, and the very ground trembled.

He lunged forward, striking an Earth Escape Beast with one claw and instantly splitting it in two.

But to their astonishment, even when sliced into three, four, five, or six pieces, the Earth Escape Beasts didn’t die. They could still move their oddly-sized bodies to attack them.

Jin Wei struck out in a rage. Golden lightning flashed in his palm as he slammed it onto the ground.

Under the fierce electric shock, the Earth Escape Beasts were all turned to charred black cinders.

Watching the fallen Earth Escape Beasts, Jin Wei glared grimly at Sangqi.

"Capture him."

Seeing his sacrificed Earth Escape Beasts, Sangqi turned and ran.

Inside the tribe, there were almost no beastmen.

Jin Wei made his way to the outer wall of the inner city.

He looked up at the clouds gathering above the inner city, a greedy, cold sneer appearing in his eyes.

"Charge in! Seize every last cub inside!"

"ROAR!"

The contractions grew more and more intense. Qiao Xixi gripped the animal skin blanket tightly.

Jin Ling was still outside, holding back Mr. Bai, but she could see that Jin Ling was no match for him.

"Qiao Lie, you all, come here!"
