Chapter 96: Want your party to be more festive? Invite Alex Sander.

Under the night sky painted by stars and the moon, Sunkiss fortress stood in the middle of the silent desert, the colorful lights from the green field inside it looked like they were trying to reach the stars.

The sound of blowing wind and sand was now accompanied by loud music and the stomping feet of thousands of people. Academy students from various races blended into one beneath the flickering silver balls that released colorful lights.

Cheers of enjoyment tried to balance the music coming from the ten silver balls floating and spinning above them.

Every student was different, they had their own characteristics known only by themselves. but, beneath the flickering lights and the noise of tonight they shared one similarity, they all carved the air with white sparks from a thin wire stick.

Everyone was carried away by the same atmosphere, but not all of them could follow the madness of that night. Because at the edge of the green field, beneath the flickering colorful lights, while hearing the same music as the other students, he only stood there silently.

He didn’t express his white sparks, he only let the white sparks run out before letting the thin wire fall to the ground.

His blue eyes reflected those enjoying the party, his blue eyes stared at one dark red haired girl who shined brighter in his eyes than the sparkling lights.

That teenager’s heart beat quickly, something felt lost from him, something felt like it slipped from his grasp.

The bitter taste on his tongue tried to pour more sadness into his heart, a rough sigh escaped from him, the blond haired teenager brushed his blond hair that had previously been neatly combed, the blond haired teenager fixed his white suit that was never messy.

The blond haired teenager lowered his head while smiling faintly, his whisper slipped between the loud music.

"I will make you look at me again, Rina. Because I know only I am the one you desire the most..."

Under the same colorful lights, not far from the loneliness of the blond haired teenager, Sesa crouched while looking at the crowd of people jumping around while smiling.

Her red eyes looked one by one at the happiness shining from their faces that had never existed before, her red fox tail moved sweeping the green grass, her red fox ears twitched whenever hearing laughter supported by cheerful music.

Sesa raised her head, her red eyes stared at dozens of frames from various POVs within the crowd in front of her. interestingly, all of those POVs displayed one black haired teenager with clothes unsuitable for a party. but strangely, he felt like the center of emotion of all the chaos.

Sesa’s heart beat quickly, her legs were no longer strong enough to support her standing body, she bit her lips, the sweet taste of blood touched her lips when her fangs pierced them.

She supported her cheek with the palm of her right hand. "ahh...even though we haven’t properly introduced ourselves yet. We’ve never even exchanged words....then why do my eyes keep staring at you...?"

Sesa brushed her silver hair that was untied because of the night wind, the flickering colorful lights gave a new color to her silver hair. "I only saw you this afternoon. But, you made a night I will never forget...." Sesa tried moving her lips, she tried imitating the smile she saw. "I will greet you soon..."

Among the many POVs seen by Sesa, there was one POV that looked higher while looking at that black haired teenager, that POV came from Gordon dancing in the middle of the chaos, his large body didn’t stop him from livening up the party.

He tried following every rhythm of the music he heard, his polar bear eyes sparkled reflecting the colorful lights, both his hands held small wire sticks releasing white sparks.

Gordon slowly approached Aram the black haired teenager, he spoke amidst the noise to greet that male teenager. "oii!! Kind person!! Are you the one who also made this party?!"

Alex glanced briefly toward Gordon, he shouted happily while seeing Gordon dancing. "do you like it, Gordon?!..." Gordon nodded while smiling, his legs never stopped jumping and his hands never stopped moving. "of course!! You’re truly crazy!! I never knew what it feels like to be in a nightclub!!"

Alex nodded several times, he did it to answer Gordon and to add it into his dance movements. "I also never knew, idiot!! I’m still 17 years old!!"

Alex shifted his gaze toward the part of the party he liked the most, there Katarina danced freely, Katarina’s dark red hair swayed while continuously shining beneath the sparkling colorful lights, her blue eyes couldn’t be seen because they were covered by her smile, both her hands never stopped moving painting the air and the night sky with white sparks, her starfish necklace kept swaying while her bare feet never stopped jumping.

While Alex divided his awareness himself, he danced freely while looking at every corner of Katarina’s happiness, but sometimes he pulled Katarina’s hand so she wouldn’t crash into other people, sometimes he covered Katarina with his own body from bumping into others.

Alex shouted toward Katarina, he pointed at Gordon who stood like an iceberg dancing behind him. "hey Katarina!! This is Gordon!!"

Katarina opened her eyelids, her blue eyes followed Alex’s direction to look at Gordon. Katarina nodded several times, she shouted so her voice could be heard beneath the loud endless music. "I already know him!!"

Alex exclaimed in amazement, the three of them danced in the same area amidst the crowd of students from various academies.

Slowly, two figures appeared and tried entering their area, they were Ken and Reva who kept dancing with every step they took.

Alex laughed in satisfaction seeing Ken and Reva arrive together, he immediately high-fived Ken and hugged him while jumping together as if they hadn’t met for thousands of years, they hit each other’s backs without feeling pain.

Meanwhile Reva approached Katarina who danced freely without footwear, Reva looked at Katarina’s feet that were starting to become dirty from the ground, she then looked at Katarina’s smiling face. "Princess!! Where are your glass shoes?!"

Katarina looked at Reva while shaking her head. "I don’t know!!" Reva sighed softly but didn’t stop dancing. "what if your skin becomes itchy?!" Katarina chuckled. "then just scratch it!!"

Reva held her forehead, she had never heard Katarina answer questions playfully, she then shifted her gaze toward Ken, Alex, and Gordon who were now wrapping their arms around each other while forming a circle and jumping following the rhythm of the music.

Inside their embrace Alex finally spoke. "oii!! I still have the fireworks!!" Gordon looked at Alex with his sparkling polar bear eyes. "shit...!" Meanwhile Ken laughed loudly.

Alex then squeezed Gordon’s large shoulder. "hey Gordon!! Let me ride on your shoulders!!" Gordon looked at Alex in confusion while Alex guided Gordon to crouch down, he then sat on Gordon’s shoulders. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Gordon stood up again which made Alex become the tallest person there, he kept swaying while Gordon continued dancing, the students near him started cheering, while the students farther away started noticing Alex.

Alex didn’t let the students’ cheers become the last thing he heard in his ears, he then pulled out two fireworks from his smart bracelet, he then pointed them toward the dark sky while Gordon kept dancing, the sound of fireworks suddenly appearing once again attracted the students’ attention.

They looked at the fireworks in the sky and also looked at Alex who fired them, the sound of the fireworks echoed together with the music becoming even more exciting, the students’ cheers of amazement also joined in livening it up.

Inside the reflections of the students’ eyes, a new color started appearing besides the flickering colorful lights.

Alex laughed loudly, he didn’t dance but he was still the happiest while firing fireworks into the dark night sky, Katarina laughed loudly while seeing Alex who never stopped making movements.

Alex kept surpassing Katarina’s wildest imagination, she would never stop laughing anymore even if only seeing Alex’s face, her ears would always hear the sound of fireworks while near Alex, and her heart would always beat in rhythm with the current music.

The flickering lights and the sounds of fireworks could be seen in all the academy students’ eyes dancing together, but those far from the crowd could also enjoy it peacefully.

Calista stood in front of one of the tables serving food, her hand still held a firework that had already run out, her bright purple eyes stared at Alex who sat on Gordon’s shoulders while firing fireworks into the night sky.

A wrinkle appeared on her forehead, a sigh escaped from her. ’he really changed everyone’s atmosphere with just a small reason...’ Calista closed her eyes while her ears still heard the whispers of the party. ’he keeps showing his light beneath the only light...’

Calista held her forehead. ’what exactly is inside his head...?’ Her grip on the empty firework tightened. ’he did all of this only to help his friend have a memory that will never be forgotten...’

Calista opened her eyes and looked back at Alex who was still continuously laughing, a small smile appeared on her cold expression. ’should I grant one more request? I want to hear again what he asks for....’

Calista enjoyed the entire party in her silence, but her eyes were only focused on one person.

And something she suddenly remembered made her bite her nails. ’wait wait...there’s still a continuation after this party...’ Calista swallowed her saliva, she started walking and searching for several people.

Her purple eyes finally saw the figures she was looking for, she immediately stepped toward them, she put the empty firework back into her smart bracelet. ’that plan will ruin this party...’

Calista walked faster, but when she got closer to her destination, she slowed down her steps, she walked toward Saint Azara and Kong who only watched from the edge of the field together with the seniors.

One of Calista’s eyebrows rose when seeing one of the seniors, he was a dwarf with greenish brown hair, his eyes sparkled while looking at his juniors dancing freely together.

Calista spoke to him first. "hey Dolyn...i didn’t expect you not to join the party." Dolyn shifted his gaze toward Calista, he raised his head because of their height difference. "how could I join them, sister Calista. I can’t bear seeing my younger siblings helpless..."

Calista swallowed her saliva, she then shifted her gaze toward Saint Azara while pointing toward the students’ party. "shouldn’t we rearrange the first exam...I mean, with the party exploding like this it would be a waste if-"

Saint Azara and Kong looked at each other, they then laughed together and cut off Calista’s words.

Saint Azara then pulled Calista to stand between himself and Kong, he wrapped his arm around Calista’s shoulder while pointing toward the students dancing, the noisy music didn’t drown out Saint Azara’s voice.

"Can you see how happiness shines on their faces...?" Calista silently stared at the crowd of students dancing together. "I originally only wanted to make a simple party as a distraction..."

Kong chuckled hearing Saint Azara, he joined in speaking while pointing toward Alex. "this is all because of that idiot, he truly brought the pleasure of heaven before we throw them into hell tomorrow..."

Saint Azara scratched the back of his head while sighing tiredly, he still wrapped his arm around Calista. "when I think about it, all of this is pretty good...they can feel happiness and become united even before the exam..."

Saint Azara shifted his gaze toward Calista which made Calista also look at him. "so, I won’t stop their enjoyment...and I will send them to hell after all of their happiness."

Kong clicked his tongue. "and unfortunately, that idiot didn’t drink the provided drink..." Calista immediately shifted her gaze toward Kong, she slightly lowered her head because of their height difference. "Alex didn’t drink Sugar Rush?"

Kong looked at Calista, he nodded. "that idiot doesn’t like sweet drinks...the servants already persuaded him but he still didn’t drink it." Calista’s face was colored with surprise. "I didn’t expect him to dislike Sugar Rush, even though his face looks like someone who likes sweet things..."

One of Kong’s eyebrows rose. "I also didn’t expect you to talk about unimportant things, have you fallen for his charm?"

Calista only silently stared at Kong, while Saint Azara laughed. "she really fell for him...just imagine, our dragon princess sleeping peacefully in the same room as a man she just met..."

Saint Azara squeezed Calista’s shoulder. "moreover our dragon princess even agreed to hold fireworks just because she was asked for help..." Kong laughed freely together with Saint Azara, they didn’t join the dancing but their happiness was the same as the students dancing. "should we tell the dragon queen...?"

Calista sighed, she lowered her head. "don’t tell my mother that I did something unimportant..."

Saint Azara and Kong fell silent for a moment, they realized their joke touched something they shouldn’t have touched, Saint Azara squeezed Calista’s shoulder once again. "it’s fine to relax for a moment...once in a while hearing the noisy sound of a party like this is also fine..."

Kong nodded agreeing with Saint Azara’s words. "that’s true. Besides, if you keep trying to become perfect, you will look more fragile than sturdy..." Kong crossed both his arms. "learn to breathe here...watch the students grow, and you will also grow together with them."

Saint Azara looked at Calista once again. "you came at the right time, and your presence can become a bridge between me and Kong with the students..." Calista stayed silent for several moments, her eyes still reflected the students partying, she finally nodded which made Saint Azara and Kong sigh in relief.

Meanwhile the ears of the three of them started hearing small sounds that didn’t match the party atmosphere, those sounds came from among the students themselves, sounds of shock and screams suddenly appeared beneath the flickering colorful lights and the deafening loud music.

Among the students, one by one they fell while dancing, the students nearby became confused and tried checking the condition of the fallen students, but unfortunately their bodies also suddenly became heavy and their vision darkened which caused them to fall as well.

Slowly one by one the students collapsed, it was like a virus spreading rapidly.

Alex who was in the middle of all of it started realizing the strange situation happening, because the music he heard started mixing with the students’ screams, Alex looked around, he saw with his own eyes students collapsing one by one amidst the music.

Alex swallowed his saliva, suddenly he who felt comfortable on top of Gordon’s shoulders also felt the effect, Gordon’s body slowly leaned forward, and eventually he kissed the green grass which made Alex fall.

Alex then immediately checked Gordon’s pulse, both his eyes widened when he felt life flowing, he tried waking Gordon up, but what he heard instead was the sound of snoring from him. "shit...!"

Alex then started shifting his gaze toward Katarina, the two of them looked at each other and Alex saw with his own eyes Katarina’s eyelids suddenly closing and she fell just like the other students.

Alex hurriedly approached Katarina and checked her pulse, he still felt life in her pulse, and he also heard the sound of snoring from Katarina.

Alex’s back was suddenly touched by someone, Alex turned his body and there Ken suddenly fell near him, Alex did the same thing to check Ken’s life, and he got the same result.

Alex shifted his face toward Katarina who was now unconscious, he swallowed his saliva and the sounds of students collapsing around him shifted his gaze, Alex looked in every direction in confusion.

He slowly stood amidst the students who were starting to collapse, now the loud music no longer sounded lively, the flickering lights still shining on Alex started looking no longer festive.

All the students fell and laid across the green field, their suits and dresses became dirty, they were all unconscious except for Alex and an elf girl.

The two of them stared at each other, Alex remembered that elf girl, he remembered her blond hair that was also bright purple, he remembered that elf girl because Ryu asked for Alex’s water for her.

Alex then shifted his attention to the surroundings, now the servants surrounded the bodies of the students lying down, among them were Saint Azara, Kong, Calista, Dolyn, and the seniors.

An awkward smile suddenly formed on Alex’s face while Saint Azara shouted toward him and that elf girl.

"Woah...there are two still awake there!"
