Fortunately, the group followed Josh’s suggestion and crawled on the ground. Otherwise, this Blinding Technique trap, much like a hunter’s trap hidden under leaves in the mountains, would have been nearly undetectable.

Yuze whispered, "Found it, what now?"

Josh pulled out a small, glowing red tentacle from his pocket, "Don’t rush, let me use Spider Silk to probe first."

The little tentacle had a tiny light on it, like a small red gemstone at the tip.

Rob found it cute and couldn’t help but secretly reach out his finger to touch the little tentacle.

With a "zap," a current spread throughout his body in an instant.

Rob’s face twisted in pain as he retracted his hand, doing his best to suppress any sounds of discomfort.

A small red jellyfish peeked from his chest: "What is that?"

Yuze stifled a laugh: "Nothing, you just continue."

Josh glanced over but didn’t notice anything unusual. He withdrew as the little tentacle continued to extend forward. It stopped near the pit’s opening, and a slender, translucent Spider Silk emerged from its tip, silently probing into the depths of the hole.

As the Spider Silk descended, Josh saw the situation at the bottom of the cave.

Sure enough, she wasn’t mistaken last night; there was an enormous nest here, seemingly placed under a transparent glass dome. When the artificial sun rose, they might have been taken out for sunbathing.

When the sun set, they were brought back to the bottom of the cave.

The inside of the transparent glass dome was lined with cotton and various soft seaweeds. The enormous eggs resembled giant preserved eggs or massive grapes, wrapped in a thin, translucent outer layer and closely packed together.

There were also some devices monitoring around, seemingly older technology rather than anything advanced, not at interstellar level at least.

Josh told the group: "There aren’t any other creatures inside, but there are some monitoring devices. Someone who understands this tech needs to handle it first."

Yuze: "I’ll go down."

His tech skills were the best among the group.

Josh nodded, and the Spider Silk attached to him, swiftly lowering him down.

Yuze glanced at the equipment, shutting things off before the alarm triggered. Then, he expertly input a string of code and pressed the enter key.

He lightly tugged on the Spider Silk at his waist to signal Josh.

Josh received the signal and teleported the other four teammates down.

Rob gave a thumbs up: "When the captain takes action, he’s worth two."

Yuze gave him an amused glance: "Get to work."

This level of technology was much less advanced than interstellar; even he could handle this surveillance tech since he was four.

The surveillance was replaced; on the other end of the camera, they would only see the room as before, unaware that five people had entered.

Josh stood in front of the massive glass dome: "Captain, look at this."

Yuze walked over, staring at the nest in the glass dome for a while before saying, "The number of these eggs matches the number of our players."

Josh nodded and pointed to a discolored egg in the corner: "Last night a player died, that egg turned white."

Rob scratched his head: "What if it was white from the start?"

Josh: "No way, I saw after entering the room yesterday, all were originally black-brown."

Yuze suddenly asked: "Did any of you hear anything unusual before and after the scream last night?"

Josh: "After the scream, there were strange sounds, wet, like something dragging across the ground or walls."

Rob: "I heard it too, but it sounded like footsteps to me, like many feet pattering on the walls, those footsteps sounded like webbed toes."

Yushi nodded in agreement: "The same as Rob."

Josh was about to ask how to get in when Yuze placed his hand on the glass.

A string of data appeared on the glass dome.

He made a series of inputs on the data display, and soon a liftable door appeared on the glass dome.

Josh raised an eyebrow: "Didn’t know you had this skill?"

Yuze smirked and tilted his head slightly towards her, "The captain has a lot of skills for you to discover slowly."

From this angle, his face looked exceptionally handsome, strikingly beautiful like a dazzlingly polished gemstone, in contrast to the Mermaid King’s fierce allure.

Rob’s complexion darkened, not even spring yet, but the captain had already begun to flaunt.

Jiang Can said nothing: "..." Natural male courting behavior.

The group entered the nest, finding it unusually warm, a stark contrast to the temperature outside the glass dome, perhaps overly warm.

Josh frowned slightly, observing the inside of the nest.

If these strange eggs were imagined as waiting to hatch, then the temperature was understandable.

She approached the eggs, examining them closely.

The eggs were encased in a very thin transparent membrane, inside was a black-brown translucent liquid, with a small black nucleus floating in the center, resembling grapes or a creature’s eyeball at a glance.

Josh cautiously probed with the Spider Silk, touching only warmth and softness, unbelievably soft.

Somewhat akin to jelly but warm.

She moved to the piled white egg in the corner, unlike the black ones, this white egg’s interior was murkier.

Pure white body, with red innards inside, resembling a fully formed embryo.

Josh looked towards Yuze: "Captain."

Yuze came over and glanced at the white embryo: "What’s up?"

Josh: "This embryo seems strange."

Yuze frowned slightly and suddenly revealed a cat’s claw, puncturing the membrane covering the embryo.

"Damn!" Rob jumped in fright: "Captain, just breaking it like this, is it alright?"

Yuze: "No destruction, no construction."

The white embryo’s liquid spilled onto the ground.

The spilled transparent liquid, upon contacting the ground, slowly corroded into a crimson hue, quickly revealing black insect eggs emerging, seemingly panicking, scrambling to burrow into the scattered innards.

Rob felt a wave of nausea, quickly stepping back a few paces, covering his nose: "What is this stuff? Disgusting!"
