Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!
Chapter 427 - 419: Deep Sea Horror 21
There were no excretions inside the pipe, and it was very smooth, suggesting that the monster often stayed in the pipe.
The surroundings were clean from friction, even very smooth.
Josh followed the pipe inside and quickly found the position of the drain outlet.
The outlet of the yacht’s sewer was connected to a pipe buried underground.
No wonder she didn’t see the monster appear on the surveillance footage.
But her Spider Silk couldn’t extend indefinitely...
Josh thought for a moment and continued to extend the Spider Silk inside.
Her body transformed into a small jellyfish, sliding into the pipe.
Her instincts told her that from here, she could find the monster’s location.
She moved forward and found the position of the pipe, followed it outward, and from the direction of its path, the pipe seemed to be heading towards the ovary base.
A faint rustling sound suddenly came from behind, and Josh turned cautiously, but there was nothing behind her.
"Come, my child, come to me..."
Josh heard a voice calling her from deep within the pipe.
It was really...
Josh turned her head and ran.
According to the iron law, the weirder it is, the less you should forcefully press forward alone, otherwise you easily become the cannon fodder leading the charge.
That seemingly kind voice: "..."
Using Spider Silk, Josh ran quickly, something in the pipe caught up to her, blocking the path ahead, three eyes blinking at her: "Why run, my child? Don’t you want to take a look at the new world with me?"
Josh: "No, thanks for the invite."
The monster laughed again: "Even if it’s related to the merfolk, you still don’t want to come?"
Josh paused, staring into the monster’s eyes.
Could its eyes see through human hearts?
The monster laughed: "Good child, don’t worry, I have no malice, come with me..."
Josh pressed her lips together, realizing that it indeed had no malice, and only then did she follow it deeper into the pipe.
Passing through the pipe, a gentle blue light appeared ahead.
Josh sensed a familiar spiritual power, her eyes brightened, and before she could stand firm, a tentacle pushed her down from behind.
"Isn’t this what you’ve been wanting? The Heart of the Ocean?" The Tentacle Monster’s voice carried a hint of expectation, countless eyes blinking, locking onto Josh’s figure.
It was a place like a large well hole, the Tentacle Monster’s body coiled around, countless tentacles clutching tightly to the walls, a soft blue light at the center shining brightly, resembling a large blue bubble, enveloping something in the center.
Josh approached, seeing the flickering luminous object inside the blue bubble, a blue crystal emitting an exceptionally brilliant glow.
The blue crystal refracted subtle dazzling lights.
She could even feel the enormous and vast Divine Power within the blue crystal, a power she was all too familiar with!
It was the Mermaid King!
She knew the Mermaid King wasn’t dead!
He was indeed still alive!
The Tentacle Monster’s voice had a tinge of age: "Good child, he’s been waiting for you."
"Waiting for me?" Josh turned her head, looking towards the Tentacle Monster: "You mean, he’s been waiting for me all along? Why? How can I help him?"
The Tentacle Monster’s head lowered a bit, meeting her gaze: "You just need to unseal this, and you can rescue him."
Josh frowned slightly, looking at the blue heart in the seal, could this be the Heart of the Ocean they spoke of?
Were they searching for the heart of the Mermaid King in this instance?
Josh looked at the tentacle: "How can I unseal it?"
Tentacle: "You must ask yourself, it’s been waiting for you, only you can unseal it, my child, perhaps you can try, approach it, recall from the depths of your heart, perhaps the answer lies within you."
Josh looked at it: "Who are you? Why are you here?"
The Tentacle Monster: "I was ordered to guard here, to protect the Heart of the Ocean, waiting for you to arrive, the king has always been waiting for you..."
Upon hearing this, Josh walked to the blue bubble and placed her hand on it, a cool touch coming from it, with a gentle water vapor, much like the hand of the Mermaid King.
The seal was growing weaker and seemed on the verge of shattering.
A noise suddenly sounded from behind, and Josh turned swiftly, the Spider Silk transforming into a steel wire, casting a large net as the monster collided with the web and was sliced into pieces.
"Ah!" The Tentacle Monster let out a sharp scream.
Josh tensed her body, holding the Spider Silk, laying layer upon layer of spider webs around the large bubble to ward off the monster’s approach.
"You deserve to die!" The monster was completely enraged.
Josh sneered: "Did you really think I’d fall for your lies?"
The monster let out a skyward roar, its body swiftly closing in, continually contracting, attempting to crush Josh.
Josh held the Spider Silk tightly, surrounded by dense spider webs.
Luckily, her spider web was extremely sharp, and for the monster to crush her in the center, it must pierce her spider web.
The monster clearly did not want its body sliced into pieces.
Standoff ensued between the two sides.
The Tentacle Monster suddenly laughed bizarrely: "Do you think this means I can’t deal with you?"
Its body suddenly melted rapidly, turning into a puddle of black liquid that spread across the ground.
The monster was quite clever.
Suspended on the spider web, its body also melted, turning into black sticky liquid that dripped down along the Spider Silk.
Where the liquid splashed, the ground emitted a faint burning sound, smoke arising.
The liquid was highly corrosive.
Josh furrowed her brow, continually backing away, pressing her body against the large bubble.
The monster’s sinister laughter echoed from all directions.
"You don’t think I can’t handle your spider web, do you?"
"Little one, I give you two choices, either open the barrier or die here with it."
Josh looked at the liquid spreading around her, gritted her teeth, and frantically @ her teammates in the system chat.
"Don’t tell me you’re waiting for someone to save you? Hahahahahaha... naive foolish child."
The ground suddenly shook violently.
Josh gripped the Spider Silk, tensing her body defensively.
Suddenly, with a loud "bang," a tentacle shot up beneath her feet, sending her flying.
Josh quickly grabbed the Spider Silk, using the web to deftly dodge and stabilize her body.
But the monster suddenly tightened its body, forcefully pressing her down to the ground.
Her body slammed into the large bubble with tremendous force, as if her internal organs had shifted.
Evidently, the monster’s liquid wasn’t truly trying to approach her; it was trying to coat the spider web in its liquids.
The liquid quickly solidified into a soft mass, dulling the sharpness of the Spider Silk.
As the monster continued to constrict, Josh’s web stretched and distorted, emitting a tense sound.
Josh wanted to push back, but the monster’s pressure was like a mountain on her shoulders, making her feel like her eyeballs would pop from their sockets.
The monster laughed triumphantly: "If you don’t want to be crushed to bits, then open the barrier for me!"
